I took my cat to Coastal Animal Hospital and at first I was feeling confident. The receptionist and the vet tech appeared very confident. However, the vet diagnosed my cat as needing two teeth pulled and then relayed a story about how he has broken off teeth in the past and wanted me to take my cat 70 miles away and pay $1000.00 to have the teeth pulled! I didnt even take my cat, Smuckers, in for his teeth. Smuckers had an upper respiratory infection. He wasnt eating or drinking and couldnt breath through his nose.The vet prescribed an antibiotic for all five of my cats. After two days, the cats became worse. None of them were eating or drinking, they were listless and lethargic, sneezing and wheezing. I was worried about Smuckers teeth and he didnt seem to be getting better so I took him to Island Animal Hospital. The vet stated that the antibiotic Smuckers was on was for skin infections and lung infections, neither of which Smuckers had, and, heres the topper, it causes an anorexic effect! Dr. Tucker for Coastal Animal Hospital gave prescribed a drug that causes anorexic effects to a cat that wont eat or drink! Smuckers ended up having to have an IV for his dehydration. Dr. Tucker also looked at his teeth and said only one needed to be pulled and it could be done at the office. This entire episode cost me $800, but it was a lesson learned. Dont go to Coastal Animal Hospital and Dont trust them!

One of our cats had a loose tooth on Friday so I asked the next morning on a facebook group if there were any vets open on Saturday. Dr. Tucker came highly recommended and gave a quick phone call. The cat is doing great with 2 less teeth. Dr Tucker spent time with his assistant and us to go over all of the preventative options for us to consider. Maurance was a great assistant with bedside manners with our cat. They run specials on Revolution and have the lowest office visit rates in Glynn County. Im glad that they were recommended to us and Id probably tend to believe the facebook reviews and on Superpages than Google+. BTW, Derp Trollingston is a trolling profile. Fake as a $3 bill.

Dr. Tucker and his staff are the friendliest people that I have found locally. We started with Dr. Tucker with our kitten Elvis almost 6 years ago. After vaccinations, Elvis got pretty sick. We called the vet on a Saturday when he appeared lethargic. We left a message on the Emergency line. Dr. Tucker, who was out of town for a funeral, called us almost immediately after. He said hed be back in a couple of days. He took great care of our kitty upon his return and we couldnt have felt more at ease after his call. Our Animals LOVE Dr. Tucker and his team. When we pull in the drive, our dogs whine to get out and go inside because they are excited to be there.

I have three animals and all three have been seen by Dr. Tucker. By far, Coastal Animal Hospital is the worst vet I have ever taken my animals to. Dr. Tucker has embarassed me in front of other patients using my animal as an example of what not to do. One of his staff members actualy tried to pretend they were Dr Tucker when I called to ask to speak to him and they charge a script fee if you want to order from an online pet pharmacy. You then have to pick up the script and mail in yourself. The most unfriendly staff I have ever met! Save your self a horrible experience and take your animals to Cheek to Cheek or Island Animal Hospital!

The best vet any pet could have!!!! The entire staff cares about you and your four legged family member. The answer any and all questions and explain everything that needs to be done care wise for your pet. They explain any other options there is for needed care. Our Max thinks it is his office only and doesnt mind going there. He was under the care of another vet who did not offer other care options and made our Max extremely overweight. Thanks to Dr. Tucker Maxs we now know Max has allergies and is on the right medicine and has lost all the excess weight. I will never use any other vet for my pets..

We have received nothing but excellent service for our 4 pets from Dr. Tucker and his staff. He is very knowledgeable and doesnt insist on putting us through unnecessary expensive tests. When we had to put one of our dogs down, he and his staff were all very compassionate. Prior to finding Dr. Tucker, we were driving to Jesup for vet services because we werent happy with any of the other vets in Glynn County. I highly recommend Coastal Animal Hospital.

We have had phenomenal service from Dr. A.J.Tucker. He is very knowledgeable and always seems to have the answer to our pet needs. He is very thorough in his exams and care for our dogs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tucker for all your animal needs. His staff are courteous and helpful as well as efficient. I feel that my animals are in competent and capable hands with Dr. Tucker.

The staff is very friendly and proficient. Took our rescue puppy there for parvo - after having him for only 24 hours of adopting him from Animal Control. We were distraught but the staff made the process easy. They worked with us on our very limited funds and gave us the best advice and hope that we can treat this at home. Wonderful place highly recommend them.

I wouldnt take my dog anywhere else. The staff is friendly for the most part, and they all love animals. Plus, the staff is very knowledgeable about the products. The wait can be a little long at times, so make sure to make an appointment. Their prices for flea and tick medication are competitive as well.
