For the past 5-6 years my family has fostered dogs through Dalmatian Rescue in addition to having 2 dogs of our own so we go to the vet sometimes 4-5 times a year and we wouldnt take our dogs anywhere else. We adore Herb and all the techs/office personnel, everyone is so friendly and great with animals. Out of all the dogs we have fostered over the years none of them have ever snapped at Herb (and some have not been as friendly as others), he is the type of vet who will sit with your dogs and pet them while he talks to you and does his examination giving you all your options for whatever may be needed and gives you the best options with cost and effectiveness considered. His personal and hands on approach is exactly the kind of thing you look for when looking for a vet. I even adopted my new kitten from their office (they always have seem to have rescue animals around the office) and I wont even consider taking her anywhere else. I know they also offer exceptional Horse care as well. I would recommend them to anyone with a pet that deserves the best care.

They offer the best service and with each visit they have gone above and beyond. I am blown away each time by how friendly and helpful everyone that works in this office is, even on a Saturday when most people are off. Ive been impressed since the first visit when Dr. Herb got down on the floor to greet/play with my dog. We have been going here for 2 years. I live at the beach and there are so many options within a few miles of my house but it is completely worth the drive to me. I will never go anywhere else. My dog has had several traumatic events (getting bit then getting a huge gash in his side which required stitches). Dr. Herb stayed late on a Saturday to take care of my pup. I couldnt be more grateful for a wonderful veterinary office I can trust completely to offer the very best care to my furry kid.

If there was an extra star, I would give it. I have no words to express the kindness, compassion and true love for animal Herb, Erin, and their team have. I will never go to another vet. They always do whats best for the animal. Ive gone to other vets who were very nice but so costly and seemed they ran up bills sometimes for things that were not needed. Not Atlantic Veterinary, they are genuinely great people. My sweet girl had to be put down and I could not have done it without this team. Beyond kind.

Words cant express our gratitude for this Vet office! They were incredible when dealing with our elderly boxer. Their prices are always fair and honest, and their office staff is genuine and kind. Our boxer suddenly passed while in their office (due to age and cancer) and they took incredible great care of her and my Father through the process. I highly highly recommend them, they will forever be my go-to vet in Jacksonville. If you want an honest, friendly veterinary clinic, this is your place.

I cant say enough amazing things about this office! Dr. John was there for me when I thought my horse wasnt going to pull through. I just met Dr. Herb today and hes just as equally amazing with my horse as Dr. John. There knowledge for animals is outstanding. They make you feel like family! I am beyond blessed to have found them! I love all my fur babies and I would not trust them in anyone elses hands but theres. I plan on making a 45 minutes drive just for my dogs to go to them as well.

My wife and I have taken our pets to quite a few different vets over the years, and weve never been as impressed as we are with Atlantic Veterinary Hospital. We recently had to let one of our dogs go, and the amount of care and compassion given was amazing. This is the best vet clinic ever. I love all the Docs and staff. They get down on the ground with your pets, they care about not only your animal but your family, and they work hard to stay in your budget. They are so consciencious about getting back to you about lab or test results, even calling as late as 7:00 at night. I love these guys and recommend them to everyone!l

Totally in love with Atlantic Veterinary Hospital. Everyone is really nice and very caring. Dr. Herb is amazing. The first time I met him, he shook my hand and then sat down on the floor with my dogs to get to know them! They are very conscientious of your budget and dont order unnecessary tests or procedures. Best vet I have ever had!!!!

Ditto for everything all of the other reviewers had to say. Additionally Dr. Herb is an amazing surgeon. My American Bulldog tore both his ACLs within 9 months of each other. Dr. Herb repaired them and for a fraction of the cost the Ortho Specialist wanted. My dog is now 99.9% back to normal and he is a big boy! This a Wonderful Practice.

Atlantic Veterinary Hospital was recommend to me by a friend. I was not disappointed. My cat was having issues with allergies. Dr. Herb and his entire staff were welcoming and friendly. The pricing was very reasonable. Plus, they didnt try to push expensive products and tests. Weve found our new vet! Would recommend to anyone.

Also because they will keep your pet all day while youre at work which comes in handy for booking appointments if you have a hectic schedule!

Hands down the best Animal Hospital I have ever been to. Dr. Herb is down to earth and explains everything to you. He really provides the best care and advice for my animals. Their fees are very reasonable and they quickly returned my calls. This is a great place to take your pet.

I love this place and all the staff there. I have brought in goats, cats and dogs and all have been treated with respect and fast care. Dr. Herb and Dr. John have did wonders with my animals. They are cost friendly and willing to help you find the best treatment.

Ive been here 3 times now for my elderly dog. Two visits were unscheduled/called right before (me thinking it was emergency), they got me right in! Staff and Vets are so awesome and so friendly. AND theyre affordable!!! I highly recommend them
