Dont take your sick animal here. Save time and drive to Savannah or to Florida to see someone who care! This was the worst experience ever!!When I arrived no other customer was waiting. The receptionist had me fill out the form and asked what was wrong with my dog. I gave her a brief explanation. A little later we went back to the exam room. I never saw a doctor or nurse. Just the receptionist with a bill for $290. Without a doctor even looking at my dog they wanted X-rays...why? I told her to run the urinalysis before doing the X-rays. The receptionist took the specimen I brought in and left. A little later a nurse (I assume since she never introduced herself)said the urine was fine and they needed to do X-rays. Ok? But the actual vet hasnt even looked at my dog. We waited over an hour and a half (90 minutes!!!) and still no one looked at my dog! My daughter and I could here the doctor in the back discussing the weeks surgery schedule! What someone could do first thing every morning..hello I have a sick dog here. Finally I got up and left. The receptionist said the vet was working on two critical animals. May be but I could hear what the vet was saying and it wasnt medical - it was administrative! I left they ended up only charging me for the urinalysis but thats not the point. DONT bulls..t instead of taking care of the animals. Dont keep people waiting.

Absolutely no way we will ever use this place again. We had a cat almost a year ago die from a congenital heart defect so we are very over protective of our other pets. When another pet started having similar symptoms we tried Brunswick Pet ER and were told that we needed to see a Cat Cardiologist to get extensive tests in addition to the $350 worth of x-rays, blood work, and other tests for this vet. Why?? We were forced to sign papers that we were leaving with our sick cat against their advice even though we were told other than the tests that we still needed to see our regular vet in the morning. When we got our cat to our regular vet we were told that his heart defect was the cause of the symptoms and it had progressed so far that he would need to be put to sleep considering any treatment at this point is basically just prolonging the inevitable and that it could cause a heart attack anyway. Very glad that I didnt listen to this RUDE vet that was very rough with my cat. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. The only positive was the vet tech-she was amazing but I felt sorry for her having to be around the hateful vet.

While vacationing on nearby Jekyll Island our dog became ill and I needed to find a vet on a Sunday. To our relief, we found Brunswick Pet ER. I called and talked to a very friendly and reassuring person who gave me directions and a brief summary of Pet ERs basic charges. When I arrived, I was greeted by the receptionist, who turned out to be that reassuring voice on the phone. She continued to be very helpful and concerned and introduced me to an equally friendly and helpful Vet Technician. Then I met Dr. Strickland, DVM who was very professional and friendly. She examined our dog, and then gave me a very thorough explanation of the problem and her recommended treatment. Overall, I was very pleased with the services our dog received. And very pleased with the professionalism and concern shown by every staff member I dealt with. Make no mistake the Pet ER services were not cheap, but a small price to pay for treatment to a beloved pet, on a Sunday. I would highly recommend Brunswick Pet ER to any pet owner in a similar situation.

Dr Strickland saved our dogs life. We were visiting Jekyll Island when our dog began throwing up and was lethargic. We originally took her to another vet in Brunswick, who diagnosed her with pancreatitis, but thankfully recommended we hospitalize her overnight at Brunswick Pet ER so she could get IV fluids overnight. Dr Strickland took one look at the blood work results that the previous vet had run, and said that the thought this was something more serious than pancreatitis, and pushed us pretty hard to take our dog to Jacksonville the next day for a specialist ultrasound. At first I resisted, but she was insistent - and she was 100% right. The next day we found out that our dog had a gall bladder mucocele and that she needed immediate surgery. Thankfully our dog is now recovering and I am so grateful to Dr Strickland for her excellent diagnosis, and for really pushing me to take our dog for the ultrasound. She is an excellent vet.

My experience here was amazing, my dog was going through respiratory distress and my regular vet wasnt available so, I decided to take him to the Brunswick Pet ER. The doctor that was there, Dr. Strickland, was very thorough. She was understanding and thoughtful. She explained everything so my family would understand what was going on. Ranger had to stay in the hospital, and when I visited he seemed very happy there. By the next morning, he was doing better and we were able to take him home. We had to see our regular vet a few days later, and by then he was 100% better. Ive been to other emergency clinics before when I lived in Penn, and the cost at this ER was by far the least expensive compared to the others. Im glad Brunswick now has this available when our fur babies get sick after hours.

The reception/front office staff members were rude and showed no compassion over the phone or in person. Once we were checked into the clinic and taken back to an exam room, the back office staff were somewhat better, but by far did not meet the level of service and care I expected. I would not use this facility again if at all possible. The staff was more focused on explaining the charges for their services to me, rather than being attentive to my needs. I have previously used facilities in Jacksonville and felt much more confident in the staff and was treated in a much more respectful manner. This was by far the worst vet experience for me.

I found them to be people who scare the pet owners and lead them to believe the worse and most costly treatments. In our case it was diagnosed as a poisonous snake bit. Once they get hold of the owners heartstrings they do not let go and the situation at hand continues to get even worse and even more costly. What was diagnosed at a possible cost of almost a thousand dollars did not turn out to be the case at all. Our vet (the next day) solved the problem for less than $50.00. Still it cost us $120.00 for 30 minutes.

Absolutely sickening! Front desk lady was very rude! My dog was sitting in the waiting room for around 30 minutes bleeding and no one seemed to care! Workers continuously walked past her and ignored her. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Complete and total rip off! Dr. Nun in Kingsland, GA is amazing. PSA: DO NOT HAVE AN ANIMAL CLINIC IF YOU ARE IN IT FOR THE WRONG REASONS. Some people actually care about their animals.

Excellent service for our injured dog. All local vets were closed over the weekend. Dr Cranfeld helped us tremendously with x-rays sent to our home vet in VA and our local vet in Brunswick, consultation, prescription of pain meds to help our dog for several days. Good news - shes doing better day by day.
