I recommend spending the extra money to go to a professional vet. Trust me, this place is not worth the money you will save. I walked in and was told to "take a number." So I took my number and sat there for 20 minutes while four ladies stood behind the counter just chatting...never called my number. Then I see a couple walk in the door with their dog, go straight up to the counter, and got checked in right away...never told to take a number or anything. So I walked up to the counter again, and said that I needed to be checked in. Their response? "Take a number." I sat in the waiting room and listened to multiple customers complaining about their wait time and the lack of organization here. One lady finally stopped a staff member and explained that she had been waiting for an hour and a half while other customers who came in AFTER her were being seen first. The employee told her that dogs who are only there for shots are given priority (which is all my dog was there for, so this explanation doesnt make sense). Not to mention, this shouldnt be the case anyway. A professional organization would see their walk-in customers in the order that they arrive (and check them in in the order they arrive for that matter...) Anyway, the employee comes back and tells this lady "there are only 2 people ahead of you." Then we all sat there as 4 more names were called before this lady was taken back.... Another experience as Im sitting in the waiting room: a dog had a little accident on the rug. Ok no big deal, it happens. So the owner walks up to the counter to let the staff know, and they did NOTHING about it! Didnt even bother to come clean it up or sanitize...nothing! That is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Im glad I got up and left before they gave my dog any shots because who knows how dirty those needles would have been. I advise finding somewhere else to take your pets.

I brought my pup here a few years ago to get neutered, the staff then was friendly and did the job without an issue. No infection or problems. Today I went in just to get a checkup for my pup, things just havent been right with him lately. Didnt even make it past check in. I wanted to get a heartworm test done, the man at the counter rudely told me I was way too late and had to have it done in April. I didnt know that but I understand, anyway he treated me like I was some irresponsible pet owner, giving me an attitude about it. I also wanted to get a blood test to make sure everything was fine. Once again i was given an attitude. "You wont find anything." You dont know that. Finally I told him my dog was itchy and having problems digesting his food and he tells me its probably fleas. I know for a fact he doesnt have fleas as i check him regularly, but same as before I was given an attitude and told I didnt know for sure. Hes a short hair dog? I think I would see them. And fleas wouldnt make his paws itchy and cause him to throw up. I wanted him tested for allergies and he told me they couldnt do that there (understandable) and gave me the the number of their dermatologist who would be "more than happy to do it for $290 a dog." His attitude was unbelievable though. Theres a reason why I came here. For easy affordable pet care and I was treated like I was stupid for asking for a few simple tests. Sorry I couldnt call because you guys dont answer your phones. Re-staff the check in counter and fix those issues and maybe Ill come back. Ive never been treated like this, Im concerned about my dog the least you could do is not blow me off like Im an idiot. Went to my normal vet and he happily did a heartworm test and listened to my concerns. Paid a bit more than I wanted to but its worth it to be treated like a person and receive proper veterinary care.

I have been going here for three years and have had consistently positive experiences. I am a part-time teacher with no income in the summer so I was worried about costs! However, today I got my dog Rabies, HeartWorm test, and Heat Worm meds for $70 total. Pet Guards understands the struggle of low income people who love their animals and there is no "office visit fee" when you walk in. The clinic doctors are super friendly, caring and kind, and the front staff are so nice and understanding! The young lady at the front window today took time to review the cheapest options for my dogs heart worm medicine and I am so grateful that this place exists! I highly recommend it and my dog would give Pet Guards two paws up and a lick. Thank you!

We brought in a stray cat on 2/17/17. The cat was with us for about 2 weeks. Without a history, we were not sure where to start, but the staff was very nice and helpful. The first check was to see if she was spayed, and to our amazement, this little stray was. Dr. Morse scanned the cat for a chip and that was positive also. Some calls were made and we find out the cats home was just a short distance from our home. We got the contact info from the Dr. and there was absolutely no charge for any of the services performed. We texted the owner, a got a reply. Animal was missing for four months and they had given up hope. We are returning the cat to the owner today. Thank you Pet Guards staff and Dr. Morse.

I have been taking my dogs here for years. Even before the move to State Rd. They have always been helpful and affordable. Great pricing on flea medicines.///Redacted, the manager Jaime is a real mean lady. Not listening to the customers then giving attitude and refusing to serve long time customers because of HER bad attitude. Avoid this dirty unprofessional place! What kind of place of business tries to call the police on a customer for trying to buy flea meds for their dog? This place... What an unprofessional lady this place has really gone down hill.

Nice reasonably priced services. Good place to go for vaccines or small issues without breaking the bank. Only problem Ive run into is its very difficult to reach them by phone if you have a problem after a surgery performed there or issues along those lines - not from my personal experience but from hearing this from their clients where I worked (emergency animal clinic). A bit out of the way for me to go to but worth it in $ pinch

Great adorable place to go for shots and other small things. As well as getting your pets neutered ans spayed. You do take a number and they go in order. Go early if you can and youll be the first in line and not have to wait long. I love their vet and my dog was being a pain and pulling on the leash when I was pregnant and one of the ladies there let me into her office while I waited.
