My niece accidentally got her elbow dislocated while playing. So we took her to this brand new Hospital. The whole process was incredibly fast and we were the only people in the waiting room. She is only 2 years old and really had a fun time in the kids area after the doctor came in and quickly knew what to do to get her bones back in place and it was instant she was back to normal and happy as soon as he popped her elbow back in to place. No X-rays were necessary and no pain medication was needed. She was instantly happy and back to normal. She has been ever since and she says thank you to her nurse and doctor. Every experience is different but my experience happened one day out of the blue during the busy part of the evening. There was no one else in the waiting room and we were seen right away. I am pretty sure it was because of how efficient they are. Everyone was nice and friendly and the er room for kids was about as good as you can make a little Er room for kids be. Clean, TV with cartoons, Nice hand painted Fish murals on the walls and the nurse was very skilled at calming down a crying little 2 year old girl. In short it was a neat little kids room designed for little kids to not be scared of an ER room, I think it really made a difference to her as she is just 2 and really can get frightened from scary looking places especially with unfamiliar people and large machines (not to mention she was in pain at the time). After a quick blood pressure and a few questions the doc popped in with great bedside manner (cool, calm, and and friendly while under the pressure of a 2 year old with tears in her eyes). Quickly he explained what he thinks happened and knew how to fix it and did it fast. The little girl was pretty much as happy as could be and her face went from crying to happiness and stayed happy all day long. She was so happy she gave the nurse a hug and told the doctor by by thank you and wanted to start playing again. This really beat the pants off my last ER visit to a large hospital elsewhere. with a huge waiting room full of sick people for hours on end while feeling like I was absorbing hundreds of new sickness causing bacteria just from standing there. But I digress, 5 stars all day long from my niece.

If could give this business no stars I would. I came in a few weeks ago with torn nerves and muscles in my shoulder. I am fully insured with blue cross blue shield. They took me into the room asked me how I was injured and how much pain I was in. I told the doctor I tried to tough it out for 2 days before it got so bad I could barely walk because of the pain. The doctor has to odasity to ask me how much I make a year I told him whats the point of this question? He turns around to tell me that the care of the ER was higher than most and not to be surprised if I get billed for anything the insurance would not pick up. I told him I dont care just fix me. He comes back in to tell me my insurance covers everything my cost was 200. I handed my girlfriend my card told her to go pay. While she was at the front I started to think this doctor didnt even touch me, didnt even feel my shoulder. I got up hobbled out told my girlfriend we are leavening after being there for over an hr. The doctor tries to stop me on the way out and tell me I was covered and they were going to take care of me. I stop him told him to stop wasting my time. We went to the ER in 249 and north point. They immediately put me in a room. The doctor walked asked me what happen felt my arm asked my pain and immediately told me the damages gave me morphine for the pain and ran studys to confirm. The moral of the story dont waste your time with this facility. Care is not their concern its your wallet. Unprofessinalizm at its best your better off going to Walgreens or cvs they will be more help. the doctor was African American and worked in the ER never gave me his name hince the discription.

I went to First Texas due to an infection in my foot due to stepping on a piece of glass, exacerbated by my diabetes.Everything about my experience was FIRST CLASS! My daytime nurse was one of the very best I have ever encountered; she was the epitome of a personable, caring, well trained health provider. I am an active, very busy person by nature, and a difficult, cranky patient in a hurry to get released. She made the time bearable and it seemed to pass expeditiously. The entire hospital is "Human" friendly and very respectful of their patients. There were no demands to get into one of those ridiculous gowns, no required use of a urinal since I could walk to the restroom; the hospital is very bright and clean and comfortable. The Doctor completed rounds in the morning; I was discharged at 12:30 pm, rather than being promised a morning release and getting out at 8:00 pm, as I have always experienced at a larger hospital in the area. The menu for meals was small in choices but absolutely "over the top" for quality. Both of my lunches were outstanding, but far more than I could eat. I wound up saving at least a 1/2 of the sandwich for an evening snack each day. Kitchen staff was, like everyone else there, warm, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. This is what a hospital SHOULD be!!

I didnt listen to the negative reviews on here and it cost me over $10,000. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but this hospital should be charged with extortion. A 2 hour visit with only routine blood work and an ultrasound done cost me over $10,000. If thats not criminal, I dont know what is. And good luck trying to get anyone at all to help you. All you will get is the run-around. They will not do even basic things like send your script to your pharmacy, provide you with your itemized bill, let you speak to a manager (who never seems to be there and comes in when he likes). This place is all about making money and does not care about you as the patient. To make matters even worse (if that was possible), they mis-diagnosed me as well. Please stay away from this place, dont make the same mistake as I or others have made. To management, if you are reading this, please notice all your negative reviews and make an effort to put your patients first and provide at least some level of customer service. There is no way sick patients who put their trust in you should be charged this amount of money for a one or two hour visit, not given any explanation, and not have anyone to contact for some explanation. This is not right what you are doing to people.

If you go to any First Choice, you will get bills from these guys, IDK why!!!! EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. PLEASE USE URGENT CARES. DO NOT GO TO FREESTANDING EMERGENCY ROOMS THEY HAVE EXORBITANT FEES!!!! I took my husband to first choice because he had the flu back in December. We ended up with a total of $6000!!!!! And we were just there for only one hour. In march, I had the same diagnosis but this time we were smarted. My husband took me to an Urgent Care where I actually received better treatment. My husband asked the physician if we could pay cash instead of receiving many invoices as when you go to freestanding ERs. Fortunately, Urgent Cares have designated levels of payments depending on the diagnosis. We chose to be a cash patient and we only paid $300 dlls : ) Please people, if you really want to save money and receive great medical treatment visit urgent cares. They have the same equipment as the freestanding ERs, such as lab and x-rays in-house. But they are significantly cheaper and the treatment is even better.
