My stay at Kindred Hospital Northwest, started on the evening of 05January2017, arriving around 8:30 pm by ambulance. Since my arrival, the staff here made my experience a most pleasurable and relaxing, but mostly a comfortable stay. Attending and responding in a timely manner to my needs. The staff has my highest esteem of gratitude for performing above and beyond their call to duty. Each, when entering my Room 306, had a pleasant smile that helped make my day, and I thanked them for it. 25January2017, is my expected day of departure, and Kindred Hospital Northwest is a place I would recommend for long term care with a wonderful Team of RNs, CNAs, Respiratory Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Dietary Staff, Housekeeping, Front Desk Personnel, Attending Doctors who checked on me daily and on weekends, the Nurse Practitioner who works with my Pulmonologist who kept me informed. Meeting Case Managers, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisors, they are also an extension to a well oiled Team working together to help me reach my day of departure and to return home, at which I am very grateful. Thank you for your services. Deidra A. Mosley P. O. Box 692373 Houston, TX. 77269

Overall experience has been good. There are exceptional nurses, like Bona, that go above and beyond! She has made a world of difference in the health care of our dad. You can instantly walk in his room and know when she is his nurse as he is positioned well and comfortable. As comfortable that one can get after being in multiple hospitals for the past several months. After having Bona as his nurse, his health starts improving. Family can go to work or take care of other family matters and know that their loved one has the best care. Then, you get the weekend nurse or agency nurse and he starts declining. Boom, Monday rolls around and you get Bona back and things start looking up! Bona is a guardian angel to our family. She is not only great at what she does, she has so much love and compassion for her patients. She is truly the best nurse at the Kindred Northwest facility. Not all nurses were meant to be ICU nurses ... critical care takes a special kind of person ... and Bona is a very special. If every nurse out their had her worth ethic, compassion, patience and understanding the world would be a better place. Our family will hold her dear to our hearts forever.

My mother has been in the Kindred Hospital Houston North for almost two weeks. The experience has been wonderful, better than any other place she has been. She is 89 years old and has dementia. There is a real need for hospitals and other facilities to provide quality care for elderly patients with dementia. We have had some nightmare experiences with other hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. One facility my mom was in for about 6 weeks was terrible. It was very dysfunctional with patients yelling and needing help with very slow response from the staff. I was really worried about my mom’s safety there. From the beginning of this stay with Kindred Hospital, the nurses, ADA’s, case manager, administration have been excellent. She has been kept clean, well fed and most importantly happy and calm. It is very easy for dementia patients to become upset and combative in an unfamiliar place. The staff at Kindred has been so kind and caring to my mom. She is getting better and will probably be discharged in another week. If my mom ever needs to be in a hospital again, I will definitely be bringing her to Kindred Hospital Houston North.

Its has surprisingly pleasant. The nurses are so accomadating not all of them but most of them they always want to make sure that Im comfortable and everything is ok. Some of the nurses call me momma. One therapist come in and share his photos with me on a project he is doing in his house, and even when he is not working with me he passes by just to say hello and see how I am doing. Woundcare is so gentle when taking care of my wound. She is very meticulous about her work. The tech are so nice. Ha and Truth are 2 that I can remember off hand. But I really cant pick a bad one everyone is very sweet. Linda in therapy is so kind and gentle with me and always gives me compliments. Kindred northwest is a great place for me. My daughter is very protective of me and she hasnt has anything bad to say. She goes home knowing that I am being taken care of. The dietician always comes by and checks up one me. Waylon in radiology is always coming by to Check up on me and make me smile. The patient advocate is so sweet as well she comes by and sits and talk with me to keep me company. Very nice place

My experience at this facility has quite simply been a combination of need for rehab care meets professionalism. Everyone who has entered my room has been happy to assist what ever the need. The days that I have been depressed, the staff has come up with encouraging motivation. The nurses have maintained a standard of excellence that i never expected. I am a nurse and although they were unaware, I can not help watching their technique ,adherence to infection control standards, and general knowledge. They passed with flying colors. As an example of the staff desire to assist patient needs, my sister went to the nurses station to ask for ice. The clerk was already on the elevator with her purse on her way home and saw my sister. She held the elevator door open and inquired "Do you need something?" When my sister told her " just ice you go on home.". Monica Williams got off the elevator, put her purse down, and retrieved some ice for my sister. It was Thanksgiving and Im sure she wanted to go to her family but she had time to give ice to a patient first.

I would refer family and friends to kindred northwest hospital because they make me feel at home, they are so encouraging and respectful. They want to make sure I stay positive so that I can heal faster. If I have a problem its quickly resolved.I have so much faith in a nurse called Elmira she really knows how to calm me down . She knows what I need before I need it. Nurse Courtney makes me feel so safe and he has proven it several times when I was in distress a couple of times he was always there to save me. Then theres Abby she is amazing she just makes me happy it really helps.GiGi is great as well is really good. And my all time favorite schelitia the patient advocate she is amazing she has such genuine concern , and she always makes me smile when i have an issue she always right on time to assist me, my Son even loves her.....and I cant forget the dancing therapist Mark he knows how to make me feel better and Maria is so nice and very good at commending you on a job well done.

I dont know how this place gets so many good reviews, you all must be blind! My grandmother has only been there a WEEK and she went without a meal TWICE and they almost gave her dialysis because they had the wrong room number! Within the week that shes been there, there is still YET to be a game plan for her and no one has been able to contact her doctor. They also left her on a breathing treatment for an HOUR when they are only supposed to be on 15minutes. No explanations have been given for any of this and anytime you ask questions they give you the runaround. I know a review isnt going to do anything about their service but please please please think twice before you bring your loved ones here. This is not a safe place by any means.
