I went into Kindred Hospital scared to death not knowing what was going on due to the bad infection I had. As soon as I reached my room. my fear was put to rest by a wonderful nurse named Martha (she is & was God sent) to me. She took over and completely eased me into everything and did not leave my side. Thank you Martha!!! I cannot remember the names of all the nurses both day and night but some I do as well as the aids! Please forgive me if I do not say your name! I do Thank each and every one of you. I cannot say enough and praise these nurses and aids enough - what they do for the patient. I just enjoyed being around Clarlotta, Malu, Chris, Mini, Jeri, Claudette, trying to remember - Crystal, Dena, Do, Simone. Again, if I forgot your name forgive me! I do include all of you. I have to say some of the nurses and aid touched my heart with such love. We had laughed, and I enjoyed listening to each of them each and every time they came in. I do recall wanting to wash my hair so bad and Malu came in just took over and by the time she had finished wrapping me up I felt like a Christmas package - LOL just to take a shower - this was so funny. I received lots of hugs. Carlotta came up to the 3rd floor and hugged me and wished me well - this really touch me - She went out of her way just to do that - wow! The nurses are so busy taking care and making sure all needs are met and they continue with a smile and very positive. I can only speak for myself in saying -Thank You and God Bless each and everyone of you who took care of me in room 229 and then in 310. I appreciate each of you. Kindred Hospital has the best !!! I want to say thank you to Connie who took time to with my prescriptions and making sure everything exact. God Bless Kindred Hospital

It seems somewhat odd to rate a stay in the hospital five stars, which indicates "I loved it". To clarify, I loved it as much as one can when talking about a hospital stay. First and foremost, the people that took care of me were exceptional. From the wonderful folks who cleaned my room every day, to the nurses aids, the nurses, and doctors. I wont mention names, not because I cant, but I dont want to leave anyone out. I did not meet a single caretaker who was not caring. I might mention, Im a big guy, and I love to eat. Fortunately, I did not lose my appetite during my stay at Kindred, and I must say the food was quite good. I even had a visit from the nutritionist who asked if I was happy with the food, and would I have any suggestions to make it better. I had only one suggestion, and that was to include Dr. Pepper on the drink list. The next day I had my Dr. Pepper. In summary, if and when the time comes that you may need an extended care facility, I would highly recommend Kindred. Sincerely, Brian Larkin

My elderly mother was admitted to Kindred Long Term Care Hospital for a serious urinary infection that required antibiotic treatment for several weeks. The facility is new and bright inside and very clean. The staff I encountered were all pleasant and helpful, often going beyond just answering a question. They followed up to be sure the request was handled. Mom was gently cared for as one would care for a loved one. As a visitor I never felt like I was intruding or in the way. During visits I observed several members of the staff stopping by to see if mom needed anything as she rarely used the call button. I was notified of moms progress in between visits and when mom was released to return to the nursing home where she resides. I highly recommend Kindred Hospital.

I did not know anything about Kindred before my friend was transferred there from Tomball Hospital. I was impressed, first with the cleanliness, then with the kindness and expertise of the staff. I particularly liked having computers in each room. If I was not there to see the doctors, the nurse could keep me updated about his condition. My only complaint was the loss of a maroon velour throw that the patient had with him on Friday when he arrived. By Sunday, it had disappeared. I reported it immediately, but as the staff on duty then had not seen it, they seemed to think it had never arrived with him and there was no follow-up on the incident.

My mom needed a long term acute care facility following an unexpected surgery. The Kindred facility is newer and very clean. The staff at Kindred are very kind and helpful. Mom received wonderful support and the staff did everything possible to ensure she progressed in her healing. I recommend Kindred in Tomball to anyone looking for a long term acute care facility for a family member or friend. The case manager who worked with us (Cheryl) was a Godsend and did a fantastic job walking us through the process to handle Medicare so we would fully understand what our options were at each step of the way. Thanks so much Kindred. You guys rock!!

My Aunt Wanda had a triple bypass surgery at Methodist. The surgery went well. But once she was transferred to health South. They werent very friendly or informative. She came home and developed an infection in her wound. Eventually she came to Kindred Tomball we have all been treated like family. The staff here is nice and informative. I especially want to say thanks to Janet the nurse that changes her wound vac. She is so gently and patient. Thanks again. Plus the food here is amazing. Lubys culinary does a great job.

My husband just spent three weeks in Kindred Hospital for an infection. We found the facilities pleasant, clean and comfortable. We were most impressed by how friendly and caring the staff was. Everyone was very professional and made us feel that he was getting the best care possible. The staff created a happy atmosphere and lifted our spirits each day, which made the time go so much faster.

My dear wife just finished over seven months at Kindred Hospital in Tomball. It was a wonderful place and we felt like the nursing staff, the recreation administrator and the personal affairs officer were part of our family after such a long stay. I would certainly recommend this hospital to anyone who needs either a short stay or a long stay in an extended needs hospital. It was excellent.

I just had to take a month of IV antibiotics for an infection. A month is a long time. The staff was so kind and helpful in every way. They allowed me to bring my beads and make jewelry to pass the time. The case worker came by to see if there was anything special I wanted. The rooms are cleaned every day. If I have to do long term care again I will choose Kindred Hospital.
