I had to have knee surgery here to fix a torn ligament and remove broken cartilage. The ONLY reason that I am giving this place 2 stars is because the staff was friendly and my surgeon (who is based out of Fremont) did a good job. After surgery I was in horrible pain and they said they gave me all they could to help it (which I dont believe that they did). It was an outpatient surgery and I ending up leaving the hospital in horrible pain as well. Now I am currently dealing with their ridiculous billing department. I asked for financial assistance paperwork and received it, filled it out, and returned it. This was over a month ago. I have called them about 5 times today and have received different stories from every person that I spoke to. First it was they never sent me financial assistance paperwork and I never sent it back it in, and then it was they did sent me the paperwork and I never sent it back in. I put my return address on the envelope when I returned the paperwork, it was never sent back to me and they supposedly didnt receive it so I guess its just floating around in space somewhere. Then I spoke to Rusty who is supposedly the regional manager in that department. He was very rude and called me a liar about turning in my paperwork. When I asked to speak to someone above him he told me there was no one above him, which I found out after ANOTHER phone call was a lie. Im currently waiting to hear back from a nicer woman who IS above him, but it looks like I will have to fill out their paperwork again and write ANOTHER one page letter explaining my situation. I will NEVER go to Lakeside hospital again and I recommend that no one else does either.

I believe in giving honest reviews. I also believe in fairness. To be fair and honest, stay far away from the ER. Worst experience Ive ever had. If you show up at the ER after 6pm you have to call them, and then they ask you " what do you want?"... and then you have to prove to them that you need help. Their billing department is even worse. You are better off visiting Walgreens than going here. Absolute racist, absolute idiots, absolute frauds. They will perform unnecessary test just to have an excuse to bill you. I sat in triage for 30 min, was not admitted, received zero care, no medication, no procedures were done , and was charged 450$ in physicians fees alone! Ive already reported them to both local and national fraud prevention agencies. If you do nothing you deserve nothing! Instead of giving you oral benadryl ( you know, the pink pill) they try to give you an IV with benadryl. Instead of giving you asprin they try to give you IV asprin! This is if you say you have a headache. IV for a headache... Are you kidding me?! You could litteraly leave and walk to Walgreens and would be better off. I can tell by how empty it always is that they are struggling financially. In my opinion these people are vultures. Stay far far away. I hope this place gets shut down. West omaha deserves better...I guess nebraskans dont know any better???

My son recently went to the emergency room with a gash on his head in need of stitches. His entire left cheek was a raw open soar. When we requested a plastic surgeon to stitch him up they told us that they could page one but most of the time they dont respond at all. That is exactly what happened. The on call doctor didnt respond and the back up doctor refused to come in. The P.A. Jeremy told me we could have him or the other general doctor there do it or go home. We asked if they could check with other doctors or hospitals for their on call plastic surgeons and they agreed. Thank goodness Dr. Stice (a plastic surgeon that was not on call) took mercy on us and came in. She was the only bright light in the whole experience! She was a superstar. She was professional, positive and meticulous. Prior to Dr Stice s arrival the emergency room staff did absolutely nothing for my child. The didnt clean his wounds or offer him any pain meds. They had to put numbing cream on his wound before he was stitched up and the nurse went to tape a cotton ball on my childs head but stuck the tape on the dirty hand rail prior to attempting to put it on his wounds. This was an awful experience.

I dont understand what the problem is with the billing department there, but assume they are just horribly mismanaged and disorganized. TWICE now Ive had to have them remove me from collections for a bill that Im not, and never have been, responsible for. This second time around I had to hire an attorney to ensure it wont happen again. None of their departments seem to communicate with each other and theyve gone through at least 3 different risk management directors in the past 6 years Ive been dealing with this stupid problem, so every time I have an issue I have to explain the entire situation over again. I was recently told their billing software is down so they couldnt even look to see if I owed the bill. If you cant look it up.... why the f@#* am I being put in collections for it? The problem has been fixed (again), but for how long? The only real solace I have is that its nearing statute of limitations for it to effect my credit even if they mess it up again.

Went to the ER on 01/08/17 I had APRN Nancy Tosone she was absolutely horrible! I questioned her diagnoses and was crying because I was not getting any real answers, Nancy stormed out of the room saying she "is not taking my attitude anymore". Once I calmed down and asked to do a test she suggested she refused telling me to leave the ER. When she first entered the room she thought she seen be before when I have not been at that hospital since 2009 I was not after any narcotics but thats how she was treating me as if I was. I left went to Methodist hospital and actually gotten taken care of also they did the test Nancy refused to do and found something that needed to be looked into further. I have filed an official complaint with the hospital and reported Nancy Tosone to the Medical Heath Board. If you get Nancy and feel like you are not getting the proper care ask for someone else!

I got mixed reviews. Experience with 1st child delivery was fabulous. Pre & Postpartum care/check in and out process/food/facility, etc. The 2nd child was not pleasant. Wait for at least 10 mins before an inexperienced nurse showed up with questionnaires to complete before checking my dilation and got an experienced nurse to recheck and prep me with iv lines. It was about 55 min by the time they were done and I was already 8 cm. dilated. My ob-gyn could have been there in time if the process was quicker. Nurses had to deliver my baby. No skin on skin like the first child. More than anything, we had to wait 3 hours before moving to postpartum room. A head nurse came in and apologized because there were a number of deliveries that morning and they were understaffed. Despite this unpleasant experience, I like the facility though. Its nice, clean, modern and friendly staffs.
