Sounds like you need a refill on your meds, dear. They worked wonders for my best friend. She had a nervous breakdown and needed intense help. My sharp and independent friend was dying inside, ready to end it all. She had hit rock bottom, despite all that we as her friends tried to do to help her. Finally we ran an intervention on her and it was determined, by her medical team (and sadly, her finances), that she needed to go to Terrell. After a stay of a few months and with the right medications and support, my friend is back and loving life again! :) I know that Terrell has a reputation for dealing with the toughest cases and not every patient has such a happy outcome. But they worked wonders with my best friend. Thank God they were there for her-- had they not been there then, she might not be here now.

If I had the choice of a slow agonizing death or going back to Terrell State hospital for any amount of time, I would 110% chose death. The quicker this place is destroyed the quicker the state of Texas will actually save lives. That hospital is the closest I ever want to be to hell. They viciously abuse patients by physical abuse, emotional abuse, mental abuse, Overmedicating patients to the point of death and/or permanent insanity.

I am a nursing educator, and I bring students here twice a year. Staff and patients are always kind, and willing to share with students. Students LOVE coming here for that very reason. Thank you for helping me help students understand, and rethink mental health nursing!

I will say they really helped my mother in law. After her parents died in the same year, she hasnt been the same. But she came to this hospital she was a different after she left. She was smiling and happy. I like this place.

I worked for this hospital and like it very much, the only reason I left was to move out of state because I could not handle the heat in the summer.
