I give it no stars at ALL. My sister was there to recover from surgery ICU. I can not believe how she was treated. There was one nurse there. I believe a day nurse her name is Donna and another one that my sister could not remember. If I could the pictures on here that I took I would. But anyway my sister has a womb vac on her stomach, but no matter she should not have a bath like this. This nurse Donna rung out the wash cloth over my sisters body and her hair. And let the water run all over her face. Left her to dry for awhile and then went in there and finally changed her bedding. But left her there not covered and she got cold from not getting dried off. Then there was a time that she needed to get up and go to the potty chair. She was made to get up by herself when of her door there was a sign that said FALL RISK!. And was laughing and talking about her when she was trying. My sister also has AFIB. For some who doesnt know what that knows it could be that her heart skips beats or it beats to fast. Again those nurses where talking and laughing about it. They told her you not having AFIB, my sister said NOT NOW. She was so upset they were talking about her. She had a TV in her room and a curtain that swings back. She ask the nurse Donna if she would please move the curtain so she could see the TV and that nurse told her if she wanted to watch TV she needs to set up out of bed. Mind you now my sister was in ICU. She finally told me what was all going on and trust me that was not all. Her husband and I went up there on the third day that she was there and took her our of there.. I would love for Social Security and any Insurance co. to know what goes on in the hospital.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This is the worst place to send a sick patient. What they supposedly specialize in is a mystery and a joke to say the least. The nurses never answer the call lights and when you go to find someone they all say the same thing its not their patient. Our loved one laid in stool for over 30 minutes and literally no one would come in and help. The doctors are never there to discuss what the plan is. Our case worker had the personality of a piece of lint and most interactions with her she seemed as if it was burden for her to discuss anything about our loved one. The hospital that referred us to Mesquite actually told us that Mesquite Specialty was not known for good care. They were right. Made the mistake of choosing them for convenience in location.Wish we would have chosen another facility. If we are ever there again will a ill loved one that needs specialized care we will definitely go a few miles further for better care.

I am a former employee and i literally quit after 4 months because of the poor patient care.the nurses are lazy the pcts if you arent clicked up good luck finding help. Ive watched so many patients die in 4 months it was sickening. I was caring for a patient at 8am my patient whom had a bed sore had a bm i cleaned her up and called the nurse for wound care simce bowel had gotten inside patient wound and bandage i called the nurse for hrs,and it wasnt until 4pm my patient received wound care and that was from me asking another nurse to do so. Almost everyone that works there is ghetto and very unprofessional.,Ive been in a patient room and can hear 2 nursea arguing about personal stuff at the nurses station. Ive seen nurses blatantly disrespecting the charge nurse calling her dumb to her face. And dont ask for help the natural response u will get is not my patient.

Where do I start. This place is like walking into lucifers den. The nurses are no help at all to the patients nor the PCTs whom are normally over worked. The lady in charge Tijana is like a devil in a nurse uniform, her nurse manager who is African is incompetent. Together they are destruction waiting to happen. I visited a friend recently who was there & the things I witnessed were unbelievable. Does this company care who they hire, the house supervisor is foreign and a complete idiot. Do not take your love ones there, I wouldnt.

Have had to use this facility a few times. One thing though is they need to be more seizure educated. They called a code blue on me while I was having a seizure and then told me I had to do the rest of my rehab time somewhere else. (the director was NOT happy when he found this out)

Occupational/Physical Therapy is never fun.....but the staff at MSH made it enjoyable. Pleasant atmosphere with knowledgeable employees that always seemed to have a smile on their faces.
