Trmc Texas regional medical center. Dirty, confused, lack of hygiene and patient care. My room was dirty when I arrived and no one cleaned it for 3 days. They only picked up the trash can. Im allergic to eggs and received eggs for breakfast on Thursday. My bed has not been changed at all. I changed some of my own dressing today cause no one else did. Doctors have neglected to notate recommendations thus causing confusion to me and nurses. I have repeatedly asked for my dressing and wound to be changed. Even though a doctor has seen me and recommended I be released, he never notated it and apparently a 3rd doctor has to come but no one called him. 2 awesome nurses Eva and Sarah? (Short hair blonde) are the only 2 nurses have even made an effort to figure out what happened today but its too late for me. The 3rd doctor doesnt answer his phone. Is he going to pay for a another day? Of coarse not. This hospital need to get their act together. I will never come here again. Additional info: i should have read the previous reviews before coming Update: nurse Eva is awesome. She got someone to clean the floor. She changed the sheets, got me things to take a shower with ( when I am able). She helped me tape the dressing I did. Got me ice cleaned up the tray and so on. I would give her a 5 star

I generally hate to leave a negative review but hopefully this will save someones life by choosing a different hospital. My Dad went to the ER for having "seizure like" symptoms. The ER tried to dismiss it by saying he was drunk, even though the blood and urine screen did not detect ANY alcohol or drugs in his system AT ALL. The fact is... he suffered a stroke!!! A STROKE!! And was accused of being drunk. Not only did they allow him to fall out of the bed and damage his ribs and black his face, they never even allowed him the privacy of a room. He was placed in a bed in the hallway!! This place gives the EXACT same level of care that you would receive from Dallas Regional. It is a shame that Mesquite residents that need a place to go in an emergency will not be properly cared for at this facility or any other facility in this area. Its just sad. Unless you are in the middle of a full blown heart attack or medical emergency that will not allow you to find a different hospital chances are you will not be cared for well. The staff is incompetent and terribly rude. I overheard a doctor tell a nurse that a patient would die because of an error with medication... then hours later I saw them wheel her out in a body bag. Thank God we were able to get my Dad FAR away from this place!

I would like to take away one of the overall 2 stars! With the exception of the ICU nurses and one floor nurse, this hospital is more dangerous to ones health than helpful! The cleaning staff should not be cleaning a gas station bathroom much less a hospital! We actually witnessed a maid open up a bathroom door and just move a wet floor sign and check off that she had actually clean it! In ICU for 5 days the floor was never cleaned and medical supplies were just let on the floor until a family member picked them up, but we do thank with all our hearts Jacy, Jo and Eva. Once down on the regular floor , (with the exception of Hilary the first night who treated him so good we almost cried when she left) things declined rapidly, when we left our father alone for a couple of hours to review Rehab centers we came back and he was dirty because he had gone to bathroom and dirtied himself then changed himself and sat there dirty for over an hour. No nurses to be found, we changed him cleaned him and called in housekeeping, we quickly learned where the towels, sheets, socks and rags were and just had to help ourselves, afraid to leave him alone again we continued to change his bed and clean him all night. The hospital was out of Depends. Nurses never around or checking on him

I am in the medical field. It was my first time to every go to an emergency room. It was terrible. I was experiencing abdominal pain. The check in people were great. Once I got to the back and checked in by the nurse. I was saw by a nurse practitioner who was very unprofessional. I waited for an hour and half. No one came to check on me. I finally got dressed saw my nurse and told her to come pull my IV that I was leaving. I began to cry because of the pain I was experiencing, she apologized because they were busy. She finally got me to radiology. The radiology tech was awesome. Finally, the nurse practitioner came back to tell me it was probably a ruptured cyst and oh by the way you have a lesion on on a bone it may or may not be cancerous, you should probably get that checked out. I asked for the radiology report to take To take to my internist , he said no ask medical records. Then he left. He was uncaring and very unprofessional. I have always taught my trainees to treat patients like they would want their family members treated. I will not ever recommend this ER to anyone. I should have also been seen by an MD. You dont tell someone they have a lesion that may or may not be cancerous and send them on their way. This is bad patient care.

Terrible. My wife took my daughter thinking there may be appendicitis. The doctor was easily able to determine that there wasnt appendicitis. My wife did not want additional Imaging or blood work based on what the doctor had said. Regardless our daughter was forced to have blood work and additional Imaging done. When the bill came we were billed for all of the stuff that we specifically said we did not want. In this case the hospital for scare that was did not desired and did not listen to the patient or the patients mother, my wife. The bill has no phone number for contact information for the billing so I am unable to dispute this bill. I have called the hospital on many occasions leaving voicemails with the billing department, the office manager, the financial aid department, and more. No one will return a phone call. So it is impossible to dispute a bill with this Hospital. I even called Baylor in Dallas cuz they have a publish billing department, the people there were so nice, they are not affiliated with this Hospital even though they have the same name. They even put me on hold and tried calling several people themselves. They also had no luck. Stay away from this Hospital. Its terrible.

Nurses were good. I went for chest pain and to have a heart x-ray. Got in quick, nurses were nice...then came the Doctor. The doctor didnt ask me how I was feeling or show any concerns. He came in, said blood work was in progress, heart machine does not show any irregularities, probably was minor, and he would come back after the results. Didnt ask if I had any questions. Just left. One hour later, doctor came back, said all my lab was good and there was nothing wrong.....nothing wrong? I am laid up with machines hooked to me and nothing is wrong? The guy said I appear to have perfect health. He sounded like he was reading from a script. I told him he sounded robotic...then he got upset with me? Oh yeah, the nurse who came with him said he was thought this was going to be quick because someone else was coding? Why did you come see me first? Then the doctor came back, and was upset, and kept interrupting me while I tried to explain how his lack of questioning and compassion made it seem like I was just a number, he gets loud with me, so I told him to leave.....the doctor, the doctor slams my door? Really? I guess I overreacted in thinking my doctor would ask me some questions.
