I originally posted a review that gave 5 stars as I was very pleased with my first visit and the doctor and all the staff seemed to really care about my oral health as well as my comfort. After my initial visit, I was sent home with some antibiotics for infection and Ibuprofen for the pain. I took the antibiotics as directed and although they helped some, there is still very obviously infection remaining. I called on Tuesday after the 4th of July because I am in a great deal of pain and having trouble sleeping and eating. I called and was told that they would speak to the doctor and give me a call right back. I waited until almost closing time and still had not heard anything from their office. I called back and got a voicemail. I left a detailed message and pleaded that someone please call me back as I cannot handle the pain. They never called. I called back again on Wednesday morning and was told that the doctor would not give me any more antibiotic because I needed to be seen by an OS...I have an appointment with their OS but fastest they could see me wasnt until the 14th. I have a heart murmur and infection is dangerous. I need more antibiotics. I have been going through this for quite some time and I KNOW from experience that more antibiotics will help me sleep as well as make the infection better until I am able to be seen and have the teeth removed. I was then told that they would talk to the doctor again and give me a call back....you guessed it! They never called. I called and left a message and again nothing. I called again this morning and it was the same spiel. Apparently it is completely okay with them that I am in so much pain that I cant eat or sleep... It would be one thing if this were the first day but it has been THREE days...Im very disappointed, to say the least.

Let me start by saying Im one of those weird people who enjoy the dentist. Yes, Ive had my fare share of horror stories and bad experiences, but despite those, I genuinely enjoy my time at a dentist office. I had been going to a dentist for many years, but when we moved I needed to find a replacement. Sage dental opened up literally across the street from my apartment, so I thought I would give them a try. It was easy to make appointments, they are very friendly and everything seems shiny and new inside. The person who helped me with the initial consultation (X-rays etc.,) was so friendly and she helped explain everything. Dr. Alvarez was very personable and friendly, seemed genuinely interested in me as a person. They even offered to do my first cleaning right then, but since I had to go to work I chose to schedule another appointment. They scheduled me for the next week, so I didnt have to wait long. They were very upfront about all the costs, what my insurance would cover (which was mostly everything) and any out of pocket expenses. I look forward to continuing my care with Dr. Alvarez and his team at Sage Dental Downtown.

My experience with Sage dental has been incredible. I have lived in Florida for close to three years now and I have bounced from dentist to dentist trying to find one that would not only fit my budget and hectic schedule, but also my personality. Sage dentals staff were all incredibly nice and very knowledgeable, Dr. Alvarez was not only thorough and experienced but also very personable. I can not complain about the service or price (Just my opinion, but Anna I dont think its a good idea to recommend people go to Mexico to get their teeth cleaned. If you think $400-500 is too much for your cleaning, then Im going to assume that the price for a plane ticket, appointment, and charges in Mexico are going to be astronomical compared to that of the downtown location fees.) I highly recommend the downtown office. Its brand new, everything is clean, and the staff is awesome. They are my new go to for dentistry. Thank you Dr. Alvarez. Now if I could only find a primary care physician...

Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando justifies satisfactory patient experience. I was only supposed to get my exam and x-rays done, but due to an opening in the schedule, I also got my cleaning done by the exuberant hygienist, Erica. It was hard not to laugh while getting my teeth cleaned. Dr. Alvarez is such a welcoming and friendly dentist who brought back "personality" into my smile. I have had a chip between my two front teeth for two years now and Dr. Alvarez, with his assistant, LT, were so kind to restore it to have a "Hollywood" look that I am very happy with. The front office staff, Omaida, Sakiya, and Rowina are always there to answer any questions and make you feel part of their family. If you are looking for a dentist to keep and you live in Downtown Orlando, Sage Dental will not disappoint! Go check out the lovely staff they have. You wont regret it! :)

Excruciatingly painful. Horrific brutally tortuous. I went in to have teeth removed after waiting a week, I was told my insurance would only okay two for removal even though as I write this the third cavity is aching. Apparently Dr.Trevisani(?) was scheduled with way more patients than any normal dentist should have been at the same time and performed my extraction with all due haste. I could feel EVERYTHING. My jaw was being contorted to the point to where I could feel my skull resisting. For twelve hours after the operation I was suffering and downing pain pills like candy. Although Im only slightly sore now that was one of the most horrendous experiences ever. This was 2 days ago. I have yet to receive a follow up email or text from the office. The only redeeming factor is the entire staff was cordial and professional.

I was looking for a well-rated dentist that accepted my dental insurance, and during my lenghty search, I came accross Sage Dental of Downtown Orlando. It was very easy to make my appointment and the receptionists were very friendly. The office is clean and modern. I was able to have my dental examination, my x-rays, and my cleaning done all in one appointment, and the best part was that it was very affordable. The wait time was appropriate, it would have been less if I didnt need approval from my cardiologist before a procedure. Dr. Alvarez and the hygienist were very nice, gentle, and knowledgeable. I will definately come back and I would recommend this dentist. I have already let my family and friends know about him. Keep up the good work!
