Went in for complications of a tonsillectomy. Checked in at 8:05am. The ER doctor said I had an infection and ordered a CT scan, IV antibiotics, steroids and pain meds at 8:30am. At 10:30am the CT tech came to take me back for the scan, but noticed I didnt have an IV. She asked me if my nurse had been in and I said no one has been in to check on me in 2hrs. I called for the nurse 2 times using the on call button but was told "the nurses are busy we have an emergency". Well...I guess we ARE in the "emergency" room but hmmmm. The CT tech called for a nurse, I was in excruciating pain, the nurse came in 10 minutes later and put in an IV. They asked me what my pain level was again, they already asked me at 8:30am, still I said from 1-10 it was a 10 but now off the charts. After my scan was complete I came back to my room it was 11am. My nurse came in with my meds the doctor ordered, gave me those and left the room. I was crying uncontrollably at this point. The pain was not coming down. 11:30am they decided to give me a narcotic for pain relief, earlier they gave me anti-inflamtories for pain. Finally, the pain was tolerable, 3hrs after seeing the doctor. How long does it take to write the orders and then administer the order? They discharged me at 1pm with "complications from tonsillectomy" and wrote me 2 prescriptions. Went to pharmacy to fill, pharmacist said my one prescription was wrong. It needed to be re-written. We drove back to the hospital. Found the same doctor and she rewrote a new prescription. Went back to pharmacy to fill. This time, the pharmacist said "we hardly ever get this prescription request so we are not in stock" so my pharmacist called 6 other locations and no one had this prescription in stock. I even tried different pharmacy affiliations, still none in stock. We drove back to the hospital. At this point Im in agony again. This time, the same doctor is not on staff so here we wait to get a new prescription. Currently still waiting in ER for the right prescription at 4:30pm ALL in the same day. 3 trips to the same hospital in 1 day for a failed prescription, poor quality of care due to what seems to be inadequate staffing, and zero relief. Why did I even come? This is one of those times where I should have just "stayed in bed and rode out the agony". Im glad I didnt because I know now that I had an infection, which is probably causing this horrid pain. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. If this is what paying for good health care gets me...Im out.

I went because I was in a car accident and my back, neck and shoulder were hurting really bad. Once I got there after the nurse checked me she gave me a neck brace (that was a good start) because my neck was hurting and then I had to wait for the doctor to see me. Once I was called in I told him what happened and what all was hurting the doctor only checked my neck and said nothing was wrong and took the neck brace odd and he also said he wasnt going to do an X-ray. Even after I told him that my shoulder and my back were hurting as well he still didnt do anything about it he just told me to move my arm and didnt even manage to check my back at all. So that was a bad start with the doctor because I had been hurting all day and he only check my neck and said nothing is wrong. So they gave a shot for the pain and he came back in there and still he didnt checked my back nor my shoulder. After all of that I decided to leave because that doctor wasnt doing his job and looking at the places where I was hurting. Besides all of that the girl next to me had the same problem, car accident and neck and back hurting, he quickly put a neck brace on and told her that they were going to do an x ray. I honestly dont see that fair because we had the same problem. I shouldnt be paying for the hospital bill if the doctor wouldnt look at me like hes suppose to. Some people are telling me that I should sue for negligence but Im not that type of person

Not even worth 1 star. I sat in the bed for 2 hours crying in pain. I saw the nurse once and the doctor once. The nurse mocked me during triage. My husband begged me to let him take me somewhere else but this is the closest and I could not take the pain. We left before treatment. I told my husband that if I was going to lay in bed and cry, I could do that at home The room looked dirty and the floor looked as if it had not been swept/mopped between the last few patients. Edited to add, I have now received $1200 in bills - What I got for $1200, my weight and vitals.

I took my son (5 years old) in to the ER approximately 8 weeks ago after his arm was hurt on trampoline. Xrays were done and Dr said all was ok. 2 weeks later he still could not move his arm so we went to his regular PCP. Xrays done again and again told all was fine. Appointment yesterday with orthopedic specialist at childrens shows my sons arm has been BROKEN the entire time. Extremely displeased and will not be back again.

Go to another hospital I had a bad kidney infection and kidney stone when I went, I was in so much pain I almost passed out I pleaded for someone to help me and the nurses just acted as if I wasnt there. I was throwing up in the bathroom and one of the people that work there actually asked me to quiet down.. I left and went to a decent hospital.

Took about and hour to b seen after check in. But once I got to the back it was easy breezy. Dr Stiles very very nice lady n made me feel I was in good hands. Wonderful up beat attitude. Pain medication fast n effective. Nursing was also wonderful. By far one of my best experiences at kaufman er. Theyve come along way. Keep up the good work!

I CAME TO YOUR ER THIS MORNING FOR ULCERS IN MY MOUTH.I HAVE NO INSURANCE BECAUSE IT COST TO MUCH EVEN FOR OBAMA CARE. YOUR ER DOCTOR SAID HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT IT WAS.NO BLOOD TEST NO NOTHING.SHIPPED ME OUT TO SHE A DOCTOR SOMEWHERE ELSE.HE DID NOT GIVE TINKERS DAM ABOUT ME.WHAT IS HE DOING THERE IF HE DONT HAVE A CLUE. I went in 1/16/17 with a migraine that I had for 5 days. It did take 1 and 1/2 hours to get seen. But once I was seen I was treated so good. They were quick to help. My nurse was so sweet and caring. And was very gentle. The Dr. Was amazing! Thank you for all you did to make me feel better!

I went in at night for a possible Miscarriage, the night staff was really nice and good. It did take some time, but they were very thorough. Only problem I had was they misdiagnosed me with a miscarriage and my baby is currently in good health.
