The vet office realistically doesnt care about the "Wellness" of your pet but more the profit they can make off you. I brought my Australian shepherd in when he was 2 months old and signed him up on the wellnes program. The program is economical when it comes to vaccines and regular visits, especially when theyre a puppy. Vet visits have no fee and vaccines are included. However, the overall standard of care is way below par compared private practices and it seems as though the veterinarians wrongly prescribe and attempt to sell you products that ultimately dont help your pet. My dog has had skin issues since he was 3-4 months old. after 1 year and 6 vet visits later my dogs skin allergies have not been figured out. His rash always comes back when the antibiotics are finished doing their work. They just keep continuing to prescribe him antibiotics and attempt to provide solutions that allow them to sell products from the store. I called them out on it in when they were doing a skin test that they said wasnt as accurate/definitive as the second set they could do, which is why nothing came back positive. After being told this I mentioned to them that it seems like theyre just trying to find ways for me to spend more money with them than actually cure my dogs condition. While I was speaking to the nurses at the front desk the vet who cared for my dog walked out and didnt even acknowledge that I was unhappy with the service. Also whenever I go in I never see the same vet, Its always a different one. No consistency what so ever. My last visit the vet recommended I try Royal Canin Ultamino (the most expensive food in the store) and see if that signals it being a food allergy. I tried the isolated diet and surprise.... it didnt work. The rash came back. And before that every visit they try to add on extra prescriptions (topical creams/sprays)that dont actually cure anything. The things they try to add on your bill actually cost more than the actual medicine that cure the condition. Do your self a favor find a local vet office thats not a corporate chain, because in the end all Banfield cares about is profits and not solving your pet problem. The nurses however are very nice and deserve 5 stars.

Prices are double what other vets in the area charge for the same services and testing procedures. When doing basic procedures your animal is removed from you and taken elsewhere. This has never been the case at any other vet weve been to. Their "Wellness" plans are up sold to you. Even with these plans youll still pay more than you would anywhere else. For example X-rays here are $200. Our last vet was $90. Even with the 10% wellness program discount these prices are significantly more. Weve since gone elsewhere and received better care from one of the top veterinary hospitals in the area and we and our dog is happier for it.

Banfield has been truly amazing over the last 13 years in providing care and support for my beloved friend Donika (boxer mix). I want to personally thank the Banfield staff in supporting me when it was time to lay my dog to rest. I was greatly surprised and filled with emotion when the staff sent me a card with their condolences with individual personal messages, along with a paw print of Dog. Banfield not only displays their 5 Guiding Principles but practice them daily in my experience as it related to quality and responsibility of total care and services offered to me for my pet.

I see Dr. Scott for both of my cats and although they may not like banfield, I love it. I never feel like Im second guessing what they have to say. The staff is always friendly, and they are very gentle with my kids. Even though my female cat is temperamental around strangers and is a fighter, they handle her very well and are not rough with her. I also like the wellness plan they have. Its cheap and gives me one less thing to worry about. I pay the monthly balance and they call me and tell me when they need to come in and what for and its all covered. Its so nice and easy!

The staff here didnt provide nearly the same experience as weve come to expect at other locations. The front desk is hectic (when theyre open--just went today during normal hours to find that theyre closed because there were no appointments, never mind the walk ins), and no one wanted to spend the time to explain the care they received. If for some reason you really want to go to a Banfield, make the trek to Polaris, weve had far better experiences there.

They are the most knowledgeable kindest veterinarians Ive ever seen. Our dog (Ned) is extremely friendly and loves to jump on people, and they loved him for it and didnt even mind how loud he can be. There prices are fair (even a little cheaper than average in the area). But you cant beat the service! These people love animals, because they are animal people themselves. If I could give a 6star rating I would.
