The staff here are amazing. Weve been to other vets and had some issues, for example at a different vet when they were giving our puppy a vaccine the doctor was doing it by himself without help which resulted in my pup getting away from him when the needle went in and then having the needle stuck in our pups neck while running away, crying the worst Ive ever heard him and resulting in complications which lead us to the emergency room. Here at Northwind they always have had two people with our pup for injections and my pup has yet to cry from any of them. You can tell they actually care at Northwind also and its not just about making money and marketing themselves or selling you something you dont need. Our pup is our first and whenever we were nervous about anything they were always willing to talk to us and see our pup when anything happened. We feel so blessed we found them.

Northwind is absolutely fantastic. The entire team is genuinely concerned for your pet. Dr. Russ sets the bar for veternary bedside manor. Over the years, we have been through routine checkup, through cancer, and on to more mast removals. Moby (our dog) is now 13 1/2, and the Northwind team have taken care of him like no other. Dr. Russ is caring, passionate, but also pragmatic -- and thats invaluable to us. Their prices are very reasonable, but more importantly, Ive never found better value and care anywhere. Just a fantastic practice. A coworker referred me to NAH about 10 years ago, and I tell everyone I know about them in return. We live 40+ miles from the office, but we happily make the trip for such amazing care. Keep up the great work -- Dr. Russ is as good as they get.

This is the most wonderful and loving vet in the area. Our dog Marley loved this vet more than any other place in the world, and the people there in turn loved her. This is the only vet weve been to that I believe truly remember us every time we are there. Our family moved over the past year, and we decided, even though we frequently had to visit Northwind, that is was worth it to make the 40 minute drive there. Dr. Cassie Triplett is both knowledgable, and never too busy to talk to you directly on the phone, and always returns calls within the hour. She was so caring when we lost our girl Marley, and because of her and the practice, we will keep bringing our boy Merlin there, for all his years.

I recently had to put my precious cat, Oreo, to sleep. He was a member of my family for 17 years and was so very much loved. I never had to go through this awful experience before. I searched for places on FB through friends that I knew had pets. Dr. Russs name kept being mentioned. I put my trust in the hands of my Facebook friends. They were right! Northwind Animal Hospital s staff and Dr. Russ showed such genuine love and compassion during this heart wrenching time. They were very patient and understanding -something I DEFINITELY NEEDED AT THAT TIME ! I would give them 10 stars ! Thanks and Blessings to a team of people who made me feel like my ,Oreo, was important!

I took my first dog to Northwind on my cousins recommendation and have loved them since then. I used to travel a lot and boarded my dog there. I knew he was in good and loving hands. They were truly wonderful when it was Wile E.s time. When I started bringing Sheldon and Natty in, everyone had to come meet them to see who could follow Wile E. The staff are kinda like family now. Their prices are very reasonable and the vets are great at answering questions. I moved from Baltimore 2 years ago but still take my dogs to Northwind, driving up from Silver Spring. I think that says a lot.

Dr. Russ is the Best, A couple of his older lady staff members are very rude. My first experience was horrible, for being 10 minutes late when I thought I was on time. I was treated terrible. If my baby girl wasnt so sick I would have walked out. She has now passed away. Again Dr. Russ was wonderful. I have another one who is very sick and she needs a dental so I wanted to get in to get blood work started and she has an infection and Ms T said she cant give me an apt until 5-20-15. Unless I want to see someone else. I got an apt for her today at Falls rd animal hospital...

My husband and I have been taking our 4 akitas to Dr. Russ since they were all 8 weeks old. Dr. Russ and his staff have ALWAYS been pleasant and they are amazing with our dogs, even when we have left them for boarding. I have recommended many of my friends to Northwind. I will never go anywhere else. Even though we live in harford county we will travel in order to see Dr. Russ. He is knowledgable in many different aspects from dermatology to ACL repairs (which we have had 2 of our dogs go through). I cannot speak highly enough of this office !!

I have been taking all of my pets to Northwind since before it was owned by Dr Russ. It was good before he started there, and it is fabulous now. All of the people love animals, and I have never had an experience with anyone having a "bad day". They are always happy and kind. A person always answers the phone during business hours (even though they may put you on hold for a minute or two if they are swamped.) Dr Russ is up on all the latest research, and he cares for your pet as if it were his own. He is very loving with all of the animals.

Northwind is by far the greatest animal hospital I have ever worked with for my pet. My kitten suffered a terrible infection on his neck from an unknown cause (believed to be some sort of bite). I called Sunday evening and was able to make an appointment for 11:00am the next day to undergo treatment followed by surgery. It was Melos first time to Northwind and they cared for him as if he was a loyal patient - full of kindness and affection. I cannot begin to thank Northwind enough for the thorough examination and care for my kitten.

I absolutely love this place! Ive been to several different Vets for my two dogs but this one by far is my favorite. I hate going into a Vet office when the staff is scared of my dog ( A Pitbull that shows zero aggression) Ive had treats thrown at my dog instead of giving it to him properly because the staff feared my dog. Northwind Animal Hospital Prices are even cheaper than the others! I never feel like Ive been ripped off when I leave. The Doctor kissed my dog during the first visit and made us both feel good about being there.

We adopted Logan in 2010 & needed to find a local vet. Service at Northwind is outstanding & the prices are fair. Almost a year later we were getting married, which meant everyone we knew would be at the wedding so we had no choice but to look into a kennel. We did not want to kennel Logan, but were very appreciative to find that Northwind INCLUDES playtime in their kennel services. I was astonished that other places would charge an additional fee if you want your pet taken out during the day! Again, great staff who really care!
