I am hesitantly giving the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital 2 stars based on the care of Dr. Krebs. The hospital should be rated much lower. Dr. Krebs is a great doctor, but the administrative staff is very, very unprofessional and rude, both over the phone and in person. I have never been greeted upon arriving and after standing there waiting to check in, it is usually, a, "You, whats the dogs name?" I witnessed the older receptionist scold a woman after the woman complained about not receiving the right medications, the woman was right. This receptionist also denied our dog the heart worm medication she needs that I ordered online. It was the same one that I would have gotten there, but the office was all out, so I ordered online, yet she denied me the prescription because she said, "What if the dog grows?" To which I responded, "That is fine, I will discontinue these but the doctor said that these are fine and the dog should not exceed 20lbs, and these go up to 25lbs." We have a dachshund. I followed what was recommended by the doctor but she denied the medication AND they had on in stock? AND the nurse said that even if she did go over 25 pounds by chance, youd just double the dose. Aside from the terrible staff, the waiting time is horrific! They overbook animals and on our last visit it was 50 minutes after our scheduled time before I even saw the doctor! Very very frustrating.... Save yourself the time and go to another Doctor of Veterinary medicine in the area. There are several good veterinary doctors nearby, and after our last experience, we are going to elsewhere.

I have nothing but good things to praise Glen Burnie Animal Hospital on. I originally went to Westview Animal Hospital because my cat had mucus like bloody stool in which they ruled out he had nothing wrong with him. If anyone had bloody stool it would cause alarm! I was referred by a Co-worker to GBAH and came as a second opinion for my senior cat. They diagnosed my cat with Intestinal Bowel Disease and put him on a prednisone steroid which immediately stopped the bloody stool and seemed to put my cat back in good spirits. I continued going here from 2012 to now and enjoyed seeing the cheerful receptionists and vet techs who knew my cat by name. They were wonderful to my father in law as well whom had the unfortunate task of going through my cats final days while I was out of the state and my cat had been diagnosed with renal failure. Lastly the vets are very reasonable giving you the list of what needs to be done from top priority to things you could wait on. They dont force anything on you and genuinely have compassion towards your pet. I definitely recommend going here if you like to feel treated like family and want respect for you and your pet.

Our very first experience with the staff at the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital was when we had to bring our cat of 12 years in for treatment. He lived a long, happy life and just wasnt strong enough for the surgery that he needed to save his life. The staff was so very respectful, compassionate, and attentive to our needs. And when Mr. Chip passed away, we were surprised to receive a poem with his paw print and a sympathy card. They truly understand the difference between a pet and furry family member. The care and sympathy that they showed not only before the surgery, but after he passed was exceptional. They went above and beyond our expectations. It shows beyond a shadow of doubt that they are not just running a business. They truly care about the lives that they care for. Amazing staff!!! I would highly recommend Glen Burnie Animal Hospital to all of my friends and family. Please dont miss the chance to let them care for your loved ones.

A few years ago, my then-girlfriend and I brought a neighborhood cat to GBAH. The cat had been abused by some neighborhood punks: strung up with rope and doused with oil and gasoline. Upon seeing the cat, the technicians there were all in tears. They did everything in their power to help this poor cat and didnt charge us a dime. The cat is now happy, healthy, and in a loving home. Ever since that experience, I have started bringing my own cats there and never once looked back. Dr. Krebs is very gentle, is deeply empathetic of both the animal and the owner, and spends as much time in the room as you need, asking all questions and explaining everything until you understand. Its obvious to me that GBHA puts the health and welfare of animals above money. Theyll even work with you on the fees if they can. I couldnt be happier with them.

The receptionist staff was rude and unhelpful when I went to this office. The doctor and assistants seemed knowledgeable but I was displeased. When I go to an office with concerns for my dogs my expectations are high. And they did not fulfill these expectations. I went to this office, waited for about a half hour and than was told by the vet that I needed to come back for a follow up. The receptionist ignored me when I walked up front and than didnt bother to ask if I needed to schedule or if I wanted to. They never called to see how my pup was, nor did they call and try to schedule me for my follow up. The front of the office made me feel like my puppys health was not worth their time; they were there for their paycheck and thats it. I took my puppy elsewhere where I feel he gets the proper, positive attention.

Fantastic and Friendly service. Very Compassionate Pet Doctors who go above and beyond to serve in the best interest of your loved one. They really do care about your Pet and You. They are not in it for the money and it was so rare to find that in these days. I 100% RECOMMEND this place to anyone who cares for the best health of their Pet . After all your pet is a part of your family and Glen Burnie Animal Hospital really does feel like a part of your family after one visit as well. You will be greatful you have the opportunity to be apart the family. I give them a Triple A + Highly Recommended Review. There is no better Animal Hospital. My dog Storm (Black Lab) was treated so good by Dr Shah. Thank you so much for your kind heart Dr Shah. God Bless you.

Ive been taking my two cats to Glen Burnie Animal Hospital for about 2 years and most of the time the staff is great. The doctors and technicians are kind and help you understand what is going on with your animals and what to do about it. However, one receptionist named Shelly should not be answering phones. She is rude, curt and not helpful at all. The other ladies that Ive talked to on the phone and in person are wonderful. Shelly is not. She should not have a job where she talks to people who are very worried about their sick animals. She is not a people person and she should have a job where she does not communicate with people. Everybody else is great!

We wouldnt trust any other vet with our fur babies. Dr. Shah and Dr. Krebs are passionate about what they do and it shows in their care for our pets. Specifically, my cat Cole had experienced a very mysterious abdominal infection years ago that required many visits with Dr. Shah and eventually surgery. Dr. Shah never gave up on Cole and its been a couple years since the surgery and Cole couldnt be happier! The nurses who helped contain Cole during treatment were also very patient and gentle. I couldnt say the same for my little buddy at the time, but now he is back to his old self chasing our dog around the house! Thanks GBAH!
