DONT GO THERE!! Wasted an hour on the biggest bait & switch ever.... I went in for the 2 pairs of glasses for $99 special. Having cheap pair of spare glasses is a great idea, right? Right, but not from JC Penney Optical!! The bait is the 2 pairs of glasses for $99. The salesman assured me I could pick any frames in the store, and when I asked about the $35 upcharge for bifocals, he agreed those were the terms of the special. Still not a bad deal -- $170 for 2 spare pairs, right? Heres the switch: What the salesman DIDNT tell me until he gave me my $685 total is that FRAMES are not included in the sale. Now since when does a "pair of glasses" not include a frame??? Oh, and the $35 upcharge for bifocals? Not per PAIR of glasses, its per LENS. Its just as well, since I was getting a bit nervous after it took the salesman an hour to read my prescription, and he kept moving the ink dots on my lenses (the last time anyone used ink dots to measure pupillary distance for my glasses was in about 1974). I dont think the people here know what they are doing, and the "sales" are a joke. Go to Costco or LensCrafters (two or three doors down at West County Mall) if you want sales people who actually know how to read your prescription. They also know how to use 21st century technology.

WOW. They have two pairs of glasses with frames up to $120 and lenses included for $99! Even No Line Bifocal (Progressives)! They also have deals on contact lenses and a single pair offer. Friendly staff, and an experience eye doctor make this a great place to visit. They have several hundred frames for men and several hundred for women. They have about 100 frames for kids. They have Raybans! I was impressed to they have the new Blue UV Light filtering lenses!

Myself and my daughter went to JCPenney optical and we had a WONDERFUL experience! We got a special back to school sale for glasses for my daughter. We were able to get the speedy delivery on the glasses and they came in the day after we ordered which was awesome! A sales woman named Karen helped us and she was very nice and helpful. Went in for the 79.99 glasses deal. Somehow, the deal only got me glasses for 110.00 or so, which is some pretty crappy false advertising. But, I doubt you can find better deals elsewhere, so I went with it. Doctor seemed knowledgeable and clerks were helpful despite the deal not actually being true.
