Overland has been my family eye Dr for as long as I can remember .. Recently we have been really upset with the service we have gotten the past few times we have gone. The Dr. her self cant even look up from her cellphone to greet you, when you walk in through the door and she is sitting at the front counter. My lenses were defective and the tech took my glasses and tried to take my Anti-Glare coating off (did not okay with us, or even check if warranty was still active). Her doing so permanently smudged my glasses, making it not livable for me .. Glasses are no longer under warranty so Im screwed. She then sent us to the Overland MO office to replace the lenses due to the fact they were defective. The so called manager (Brian) at the Overland office is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!! He was smirking, laughing, shaking his head at me and my mom the whole time because, yes they were replacing my lenses, but without my Anti-Glare which I never even wanted off in the first. He told me that I had pay $150 plus tax to get it put back on, due to the fact my glasses are out of warranty. UHM NO!!! your tech took it off without approval, or even looking to see if the warranty was still active, and I want it back. After about an hr of me and mom going back and forth with him arguing over something that shouldve been a quick and easy understanding. He agreed to put the Anti-Glare back on .. Needless to say, me and my family will NEVER be going back to this company.

Ive been using Overland Optical for well over a decade and have never had anything but OUTSTANDING care and service. Friendly staff and doctors, and they even laugh at my jokes, so that wins them serious points right there. In short, take "Highly Recommended" and nail three more "Highlies" and a whole raft of gold stars to it. Unless they kick my dog, or I become afflicted with amnesia due to an unfortunate bowling incident, I wont go anywhere else for my vision care needs. Given that I dont currently have a dog, and I dont go bowling all that often, were "all good." In all seriousness (as being serious is not my strong suit), as big as I am on convenience given my often hectic schedule, Id go to Overland Optical even if they werent right around the corner from me. St Charles Location Review Bought a pair of glasses --- coating went bad and had to be redone---did it for free but they had my glasses for a week or more----Then the ear piece broke off the frame---$30 bucks to fix it----they sent me across the river to Overland to the only qualified repair person----then he wasnt there---had to leave my glasses and do without my glasses AGAIN-----And now they have broken again Serious Medical Issue----My wife went in for eye exam---told them not to dilate her eyes----they put the wrong drops in and probably overdosed her eyes. Her eyes were all pupil---they were blown up like a full moon Have used Overland Optical St Charles for 20 years----have seen steady decline----never again

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Schmitz and the friendly, knowledgeable staff at Overland Optical. I am new to wearing glasses, and the staff was extremely helpful with the entire process of understanding my eye exam and picking out the right pair of glasses. Dr. Schmitz was very thorough and really provided a personalized experience where she listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I could not be happier with the service and level of knowledge I experienced. I will definitely recommend Overland Optical to my friends and family.

Anyone looking for a client focused and family friendly eye center should consider Overland Optical. My appointment was efficient and thorough. I enjoyed speaking with the friendly staff during my visit. Their concerns for my vision were expressed and explained in a manner that I could understand. I severely lack fashion sense and they helped me choose my frames from their large inventory; they have numerous styles for all members of the family. I am confident that you will be very satisfied with this choice for your eye care service.

My husband & I have gone to Overland Optical for decades & have always been impressed with the entire staff. Weve gotten our glasses and my contacts there as well as our yearly eye check-ups. I like that its not a big mega eye-place....its a neighborhood, "round the corner" type place where the staff is friendly, knowledgeable & never pushy. When we regularly run into one of the assistants at our favorite lunch spot...its like were old friends. We appreciate Overland Optical as a place we trust.

My family has been going to overland optical for years. Even after shopping other opticians, overland consistently offers the lower price AND takes my insurance. The staff was friendly and patient when I recently came in to be fitted for contacts for the first time. After buying a years supply of contacts, a new pair of eyeglasses are half off! (I believe the deal works for a second pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses as well). Great service at a reasonable price, what is better?

Horrible service. I was ten minutes late and was told that due to this I would have to be fitted in some other time. Was also told the doctor has no tolerance for being late. I have a progressive eye disease and when dealing with this type of conditions you run into hardships just trying to perform daily activities. Doctors should understand this. 10 minutes isnt the same as 30 minutes or a hour. I cannot personally recommend this establishment to anyone .

I got my distorted glasses repaired at this place. They were repaired on site, very quickly, and for free. The shop is really nice and bright, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Its a small fix for my glasses, but the impression I got from this place met all my expectations and even beyond for professional eye care shops. I would come again if I ever need glass repairs or getting new glasses.

I have been going to the Overland office for several years now...I would never go anywhere else! The Doctors are so knowledgeable and really care about their patients. They ask questions about you health and any concerns or changes you might be having. The techs who help you pick your lenses and glasses are so nice and friendly too. I highly recommend this location.

I love Overland Optical! Ive been going there for years, and I love Dr. Schmitz so much that I always go to the one on Woodson even though I now live in St. Peters. Its worth the drive! The gals that take care of you are fabulous - customer service is a top priority with them, you can tell. I would highly recommend that you try it for yourself.

This is the best eye center hands down! Ben and Sarah helped me with my visit and the Doctor was amazing! This was first time getting contacts and they made my visit worth the while! My visit took an hour tops! The customers were regulars and they seem to love this place too! I definitely recommend Overland Optical! Thank you so much!!

Huge shout out to Debbie at Overland Optical for getting my new glasses ready in record time so that I take them on a trip overseas. The service doesnt get anymore personal than that. You can go somewhere else for eye care, but you wont find any business that cares like the people do here.
