Save your stress and money - do not go there! Pretended they care - so that they can drag my appointments and suck money from both health and vision insurance. Also, for every unnecessary visit, it would add up my out of pocket copay. The office is close by my house so I decided to stop by since I needed new glasses. There was no waiting line, and I was accepted without an appointment. The check up was quick. Doctor O. concluded I have inflamed watery eyes, so I needed to make another appointment for comprehensive exam and prescription for eyeglasses, eventually. They asked me to pay extra, out of pocket, for retina check, which in my opinion, had to be checked any way through my health insurance they insisted to use (instead of my vision one), since it was a medical condition, as they said. They measure blood pressure, eye pressure, etc, but did not explain any of the readings. They also prescribed an expensive steroid eye drops/gel, that causes glaucoma and has much more other negative side defects than benefits. When I called and asked for less harmful side effects drops, the office manager said, "... then dont buy it!" and argued defensively. The call ended without any resolution. Of course, I did not buy the medicine, but instead I consulted with a different medical professional. I bought over the counter eye drops and I feel better already. Going to that office ruined my day; I felt stressed and I wasted my copay money. I am in contact with my insurance company, and in a process of filing a grievance letter.

The exam was very good. But when it came time to choose a pair of glasses it all went south. I decided maybe I would get a pair of sunglasses. They did not have samples of most of the different lenses. Then when I picked what I wanted, they started tacking on all sorts of extra charges that were not covered by my VSP insurance. It totaled almost $200 for exam and glasses after the insurance allocation. The regular retail price for it all totaled over $800. Really? Inflate prices much? I mean, $800 for an eye exam and a pair of sunglasses. Then when I declined the glasses, the girl helping me coped an attitude. My recommendation. Go to Clarkson for your exam but plan on taking your prescription elsewhere to purchase the glasses.

For the first time my 15 year old needed an eye exam, and now needs glasses! I was lost, didnt really know what to expect as Ive never needed an eye exam myself. Lindsey Voelkerding and her staff took great care of us at their Maryland Heights location! They ensured all of our questions were answered, and helped us find the perfect pair of glasses that were an appropriate fit for my daughters face. I was incredibly satisfied with the entire experience and will continue using them for future eyecare needs. They are fantastic and I highly recommend them! ❤❤❤

Not sure why anyone is giving this store a bad review. The staff there went above and beyond the call of duty. I was able to get a quick appointment for an eye exam, looked at numerous different styles of glasses, and they answered all my questions. I will definitely use them again when I need new glasses!

If I could give it no stars, I would! Girls that work behind the counter were very rude and unhelpful at all! They didnt care to explain insurance plans and how they work. The blonde lady especially that worked behind the counter was extremely rude. Go elsewhere people!

Not a very friendly staff. I called to make an appoint for an eye exam as I had never been there before. Without hesitation the person went straight to insurance, drilling me about insurance, co-pays, etc. Hung up and found someone better just up the street.

They make you think they are so happy you are there, but follow up with them is terrible. Its been 3 weeks and Im still waiting for answers on my glasses. Nothing should take this long and Im cancelling my order and going someplace else.
