We came in to simply get glasses. We already had a prescription. We were the ONLY ones there. The employee asked for our insurance first thing. She let us know that the insurance would cover the full cost of frames and lenses. HOWEVER, we were only allowed to select from the secret drawers of shame! Unlike the "regular" glasses, these are kept in a 7 drawer opaque black tower with trays. There is a VERY limited selection. My child, thankfully, is too young to recognize what is going on. IF my insurance, like many other peoples, covers frames UP TO A CERTAIN PRICE, then tell me that and I will choose accordingly. The secret drawer of shame is an unnecessary humiliation. I was interested in looking at frames for myself until this. As I walked near the womens frames, the employee was CLEAR to let me know that the frames are ALL LOCKED!!!! I would have to have her get any pair out IF I wanted to try anything on today. That was an easy choice! NO. I have worn glasses for over 25 years and have ALWAYS been able to FREELY try them on at my leisure without having a person supervise me. She also let me know the kids glasses were in the LOCKED display cases near the front door. As far as I can tell, the Lafayette Centre Crown Vision near Deirbergs in Manchester/Ballwin is the least customer friendly store I have ever had the misfortune of entering. And I can assure you, it will be the LAST time I ever shop with this company again. We were clearly made to feel like second class citizens and potential thieves at ever turn. Completely unacceptable!!!!

My first attempt to use Crown Vision started out poorly. I had to wait almost 2 hours for my appointment because there was only one optometrist on duty that day and she was late getting there. Then, after getting approval from my insurance company and long after my visit to get new contacts, they sent me a second bill with no explanation. I found out from my insurance company that although Crown Vision was one of their partners, the optometrist I had seen was NOT on the plan. They finally tried to charge my wifes account and sent the bill to collection in her name. I dont think thats even legal, However, Crown has since taken action to correct the matter, and take the charge off our account. They also have apologized. That goes a long way with me. Based on their products (these are really superior contacts) and how they came forward to correct the billing issue, Im would give them a good rating and recommend them to my friends.

I only go to this place bc my insurance makes me. the people are nice enough, and the care is good and what I need. However, the machines are all very old, there is always a different doctor when I go, and its dirty. The sink had water spots and buildup on it and clearly had not been cleaned in a very long time. They did not wipe off any of the machines before I put my face in them. and the doctor seemed focused on selling me lasik. I said Im waiting for the price to go down, and he said cheaper than 3k for both eyes?" and seemed a bit shocked when I didnt jump at the chance to give him $3,000...(not to mention I can get it through my health ins carrier for $800eye.) That was just weird.

I would like to say thank you to the whole staff at the Ballwin Store for their excellent customer service; they are always very helpful, friendly and anxious to please. Dr. Resuli is very caring and extremely knowledgeable. I had always worn no-line bifocals and it was suggested that I try the HD lenses; what a difference; they may cost a little more; but the extra cost is so worth it. My husband had the same results; the doctor suggested HD lenses for him and he loves his new glasses. His profession requires a lot of close work and with the HD lenses there was virtually no adjustment period. Crown Vision Center is the best and we wouldnt think of going anyplace else.

Crown Optical offers a wonderful experience that is quick, painless, and fun. The Ballwin location has great staff. The opticians are very warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Its always fun to talk and have a good laugh with the opticians while waiting for you appointment to begin. The exam was quick and punctual. The doctor knew what she was doing and was quickly able to check the health of my eyes, check my prescription, and offer advice on what brand of contacts to use. Any questions I had were answered, and I felt very satisfied. All in all I had a great experience and I will continue to return to this location! Lincoln G. 010-020281

Crown Vision Center provided excellent service when I had my glasses made initially. A year later, when I needed to have them remade due to scratched lenses, they remade them without any hassles. Unfortunantly, there was an issue with the ones that were remade, but the manager at the store took action to send them back to the lab to be redone and has since followed up with the lab to ensure that they get done and back to me as quickly as possible. Crown Vision has given me quality service and they have a quality product. I am much happier with them then I was with my previous eye glasses provider.

I have horrible experience while calling you. I have called you about 10 times about appointment and other issues but you never never pick up the phone. No matter what time of the day is and out of 10 messgaes, you returned only one call evven though you state in your message that you will call back in 90 minutes. But tht is simply false. I am surprised how you do business by providing such a bad customer service.Shame on you charging people exuberant amount of money but running away when customer service is needed.

It was also the quickest experience Ive had getting my eyes checked and picking new frames. My new glasses also arrived in only 3 days! Absolutely horrible service!!! be really careful going there because theyll promise you your insurance covers this and that, but later on youll get a bill in the mail with a much higher amount that the insurance did NOT cover!!!
