ElvisSquarePants is a fake right? Clearly hes a clown. I just visited Avery Ranch for the first time the other day and thought it was a great experience. I have seen about 4 dentists in my life and finally found a replacement for my old fave in Seattle. First of all, the people here are really friendly and happy. I dont know how people can get so excited about teeth everyday, but they do. The most impressive thing about the place, after the people, is their use of state-of-the-art technology. Clearly things have changed in the past 20 years. When you go here, the assessment is interactive, with the dentist showing you from the chair a high def, interactive slideshow of x-rays and digital macro-photos of your teeth. Dr. Lowrey went through each problem area and showed me how she makes the assessment. I really like that interaction and it makes you take a little more ownership of your health. So about the costs. Im a fairly typical 40 y.o. patient with about 5 failing metal fillings and a couple other problem areas. When my exam was finished I went into a little room where they had pulled up an itemized list of recommended work with costs to both me and my insurer. The whole thing for about 7-9 fillings (embarassing to have that many) was about $1200 out of pocket. They let me decide what to do and when. I think thats reasonable. Its surgery on my mouth and Im willing to pay not only for that, but also for the technology they have. The only complaint I have is that they are located on the other side of the moon and I live in East Austin. But Ill gladly make the trip out to them for the people and the service.

It depends what you are looking for. I was going to a place I liked in Round Rock for years and changed to Avery Ranch for its location. The first visit they said I needed 3 fillings. I agreed to two and declined the other. I just went to a new dentist and they didnt even mention the need for the 3rd filling. I also took my daughter to Avery Ranch. Since her insurance would cover getting sealant on her teeth, we were encouraged to get that every time we came in. When I declined every time, they almost seemed irritated like I was neglecting my daughters teeth. I have no problem with the quality of work done and believe they have good intentions. I just prefer conservative treatment, limited xrays, ect, so personally would not recommend this office to someone who prefers the same.

I am new to Austin & have been looking for a trust worthy dentist. Unfortunately I wasnt able to find one here. I was quoted $4,400 (with insurance), 10 visits & 3 very painful & long procedures to fix one cracked tooth & a couple cavities. Fortunately, I have since been able to find a dentist that went over, in detail, every procedure that Avery Ranch "claimed" I needed to have & provide me with an honest, much more affordable & less abrasive plan. Which consisted of 3 visits & less than $700 out of pocket. However, the staff was extremely friendly during my visit & ensured that I was comfortable throughout the x-ray process. Unfortunately, the dentist spent less than 5 minutes with me & recommended unneeded treatments.

My wife and I were new to town and picked this office. We were both quoted dental work in the area of $7000! Are you kidding me? I got a second opinion from another dentist and was given a MUCH lower quote. I then went back to my original dentist of the past 10 years and he said theres nothing wrong at all with any of my teeth except for a potential crown. Dr. Judy said my crown needs to have some special work from an oral surgeon that comes highly recommended.... surprise, surprise, that dentist is her husband. LOL. Go to see them and you too can experience their money making scam. After all, how do you think they pay for all those nice office furnishings? They dont; you do!

As a new patient, I was pleased with the customer service from the ladies in the front office but I was really disappointed to have met Dr. Flexsenhar. She showed very little courtesy- She did not introduce herself nor greeted me as a patient. She just sat there counting the amount of work to be done and next thing I know she flew out the door... I guess she Left her assistant there to deal with the "customer service" part of the visit...She was in plain english- RUDE! Dont dentists take a class in college PT_TX_101 (basics human treatment/manners for patients)??? My spouse had the same rude treatment from another dentist in this location. Ill take my dollar elsewhere.

I was referred to Dr Lowery by my old dentist in Houston. I was in an accident that left my jaw broken, and ten of my teeth damaged (including all of the front teeth). I cannot say enough great things about Dr Lowery and Wendy. I have three dental implants, three veneers, and four crowns. I spent at least 24 hours in the chair having work done. I experienced zero discomfort during my time there, even when I was having three teeth extracted. I have never had a dentist or doctor more concerned with patient comfort. When all was said and done, and I looked at my new smile in the mirror, I was brought to tears. Greatest dentist ever.

I have been coming to Avery Ranch Dental for probably over 8 years now and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it here! I have absolutely never had an issue with billing or office staff and I WILL continue to recommend folks come here. From the moment you walk into their offices (front door) to the moment you leave, everyone is super friendly and always there to help you. I will be leaving them thanks to my insurance plan - uuggh and am extremely saddened by this BUT at least I know, if I can ever come back, Im on it!!! Thank you for the many, many years of blessed service me and my daughter have both had here... You wont be disappointed ♥

I have been a patient at ARD for over a year and a half now and I see Dr. Flexsenhar. I dont think Ive met a more bubbly, friendly dentist. She and her hygienist both made me feel completely at ease and she explained each step of what she was doing or what she was about to do. I appreciate how Dr. Flex always takes time to explain things and has even been gracious to work out a payment plan since I dont have dental insurance. The atmosphere of the waiting room and patient rooms is calming. I love that it is so close and convenient, and that I never have to wait.

I just started going to Avery Ranch Dental after more than 13 years at a Round Rock dental group (my specific dentist retired). I am highly impressed by the expertise and teamwork of Dr. Flexsenhar and her assistant, Theresa. Dare i say they are actually fun to watch! They work seamlessly together, and talk you through every step of the way. There are no surprises, and they are both diligent and detail-oriented. I commend them for their excellence in service and results, and highly recommend them to kids and adults alike.

i have had great experiences with Avery Ranch Dental. Both my husband and I see Dr. Flexsenhar (Dr. Flex). Shes personable, thorough, and explains everything shes going to do very clearly. She has a great personality and works very hard to make the experience a pleasant one. You can tell that she has great relationships with the hygienists and her colleagues, as well. The front desk has been so helpful figuring out our insurance with all the new changes. If you live in north Austin--these are your people.
