Initial Visit in March: Visit 1: I told the dentist my back story (basically was in an accident requiring significant repair about 15 years ago) and needed some crowns repaired. He looks at my teeth scolds me for not getting them cleaned then asks me why I have crowns despite the fact that 5 minutes prior I explained it... Then he proceeded to shave a tooth down that was severely sensitive and hesitated to use a sufficient amount of Novocaine. Visit 2: crowns are ready for placement and I make an appointment to come in and get them put on but also have an achy/sensitive tooth looked at. Not only did he not numb the same tooth up enough before starting work but when I threw my hands up and asked him to stop because of the pain he told me itll be fine and he only had a few more things to do. So I laid there in agony, painfully wincing at every touch while he violently pushed and pulled on all my teeth. Then he asked about the tooth that was achy, I said I think I have a cavity. He looks around says I need 6 fillings and never tells me whats wrong with my tooth. Later and mouth was in sever pain, worse than before which he never even addressed the source of the pain. I decided to leave before allowing him to fill the cavities because I just couldnt handle it anymore (I had already prepared for pain and took 2 ibuprofen but it was not enough to bear more). Ive been taking Ibuprofen for days now because the guy has no respect of patient comfort. Im losing sleep from the pain and seeing a different dentist this week. Its sad because the staff here is great, but the dentist couldnt even listen to me. Update: its been a few months now and after seeing another dentist, I learned that this guy had shaved off the points of the teeth he put the veneers on because they were cracked (which may be standard procedure but he never informed me of this treatment). Additionally, I had cracked them from clenching my teeth at night which contributed to the pain from all the trauma. My new dentist not only addressed my pain, but explained why it was occurring and provided me with preventative treatment (mouth guard at night). Additionally, one of the crowns I originally went in to get fixed came off already. Do yourself a favor and see another dentist. My guess is, this guy is giving discounts for good reviews.

Overview: Best dental experience and great first time experience with Dr. H, highly attentive to patient needs and knowledgeable, warm and friendly staff, clean/organized clinic, prompt (greeted and checked in right away, fast electronic paperwork and called in shortly after my actual appointment time) Purpose of Visit: Teeth Whitening I recently visited Parmer Family and Cosmetic Dentistry to have my teeth whitened and had a great experience! I came across Dr. H’s practice through a groupon Zoom Whitening special ($104 Zoom! Treatment) and had many questions going into my visit. Dr. H and his staff were very professional, made me feel welcome and were very patient in answering all of my questions. My greatest concern going into my appointment was determining how effective the teeth whitening would be given my teeth are only slightly yellow and sensitive. Dr. H was very caring and took his time examining my teeth and actually recommended an alternative to Zoom!, suggesting instead that I use take home trays to achieve the results I desired. I greatly appreciated his honesty and him being straightforward in admitting the Zoom! Whitening was not a good treatment for me. Since I don’t live in Austin, Dr. H actually stayed after clinic closing hours making my take home trays so that I could take them home that same day and he also honored the $104 price for me (even though take home whitening trays are more expensive.) I really can’t say enough about how professional and attentive to my needs Dr. H and his staff were. I felt truly valued and cared for as a patient. Best dental experience.

I have a profound fear of the dentist, so much so I havent been in years. Even that is hard to admit because it makes me feel like Im a gross human being without any care for hygiene. Thats not the case, but it makes me feel that way. Ive had a bad toothache for about 2 days now which I cant take anymore so I need to get it taken care of. Of course my dental insurance doesnt kick in until January, so whatever work they do will be out of pocket sadly. Theres embarrassment about what theyll see, a huge fear to what they say is wrong and what needs to be done. Im afraid to be judged and shamed by them because it probably seems I didnt take care of my teeth. I feel nervous, terrified, butterflies in my stomach, like I want to cry, and more emotions that make me embarassed to even admit. Its a level of anxiety I dont think Ive ever had to deal with yet, and all I can think of is it makes me look weak, childish and I should man up. If it was as easy as that, I would do it. This didnt ease up when I got there. I was still nervous and they helped talk me down and made me feel comfortable enough to have him perform an extraction right there in his office. I was still terribly anxious and nervous but they told me what to expect before during and after it. I expected it to hurt and I barely felt anything. There was of course pain after but that was controllable with some ibuprofen even though I was given a prescription for something stronger I have yet to use it. Needless to say Im definitely less terrified and anxious about the dentist which is a huge deal for me.

I went to this dentist for a cleaning. I especially appreciated the fact that the dentist took some pictures where i was able to see what i had been not brushing where i should have been. It was easy for me to learn what i had been doing wrong - then he proceeded to clean my teeth and showed the before and after - i was out of the chair really quickly and i really appreciated that. It meant i did not have to spend a long time with my mouth open and it has gotten sore during cleaningnbefore. My husband was surprised when i came out and was through! And he did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth! Another thing which i really appreciated was that the office got my xrays frommy orthodontist and he didnt need to take xrayswhich saved me a lot of grief and time and monwy. This debtistry staff are efficient and kind. I rate them five stars for excellent!

Everyone in the office is so great! The office itself is beautiful, and every employee there is pleasant, patient, and friendly. It makes going to the dentist not stressful. Dr. H is really good about explaining things to you so you understand issues with your dental health and what you can do to improve. I like that the office is very high tech, with a camera that lets you see an up close view of your teeth right on the TV screen, and tools that make the cleaning a lot easier. Its also nice that you can watch Netflix during your exam/procedure. The office is in a great location too. They are also wonderfully generous in there pricing. They help you out if you dont have dental insurance and the prices are very reasonable. Its nice to not have to choose between taking care of my teeth and other expenses.
