I would not take any animal you care about to this place and Dr. Hickey. They let my cat die from malnutrition. 2 weeks there and he ate maybe a half of a can on his own. Took him in because he stopped eating. Was first told hyperthyroidism, gave meds to him. Had to take him back because still not eating. Each day I called asking to speak with her and was always told to busy. Always got second hand information from receptionist. I asked them several times if he was dying and why they werent tube feeding him, was never given a straight answer. After 2 weeks got a call Sunday morning and was told trouble passed away during night, in a cage, all alone and afraid. I asked if I could come up and get Trouble right away and was told NO, even though tech was still at vet clinic. I had told them from start if he even look remotely like he was going to pass I wanted him to be with at home. When I went to pick up Trouble Monday morning, the receptionist brought my cat up to counter, wrapped in blue plastic. He was so frozen and cold that you could not even hold him. When I uncovered plastic his eyes were completely frost bitten and hid fur had frost bite and icicles hanging of his bare skin. I asked to see Dr. Hickey and was told she was not there. I ask the receptionist why Trouble died, what was cause of death and she couldnt answer me. When I asked why Dr. Hickey herself didnt call me, she I know she should have and I am sorry. I told her with colorful language that my cat should have never died and again she said, I know that and I am sorry. To this day Dr. HICKEY HAS NOT CALLED ME. I dont know why my Trouble died but I am pretty dame sure it was STARVATION. I know she has I always got great reviews but dont always believe what you read. She failed my cat and in my opinion broke the Vetenarian Oath by negligence and Animal cruelty to start. Trust me when I say, THIS IS NOT THE END OF THIS STORY BY NO MEANS. DR. HICKEY, you once told me how nice it feels when all 10 of your cats greet you at the back door of the vet clinic every morning, follow you into your office wanting your attention and love. They all hang out with you in your office. That is so nice for you. But you see I dont have my cat greeting me when I come home. I no longer have his constant talking to me that I loved so much. I no longer have anyone to share my supper with. I no longer can share a bath everyday with my best friend. And most importantly, I now cant sleep at night because Trouble is not cuddled up next to me on my pillow with his head on my shoulder and paw on my face. I have lost my best friend because of negligence and sub pat care. Yes he was 11 years old, but he had no medical problems his whole life. He deserved a few more years with me but you have robbed me of that. I know you sleep very well tonight and havent given what you have done to me and Trouble a second thought. I know there are also 2 sides to every story and believe you me you will have to tell yours in the near future, since didnt bother to cal me to explain or even say you were sorry trouble passed.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS This is the worst vet experience I have had. We went to this clinic to try to help my dog with what was thought to be a swollen tooth at the time. After waiting probably somewhere from 30 minutes to an hour in this cramped room with my dog swollen, in distress and panting a nurse finally showed up to exam her and we were sadly told my dog had Lymphoma. At this point Dr. Hickie told us we had 3 routes to put her on steroids, drive over an hour away once a week for chemo for weeks or put her to sleep. She told us to think about what we wanted to do and to call her back the next day to take the next step. After considering it we decided to try steroids with the hope that it would give us a few more weeks of happy and healthy life for our dog and with our dog swollen and miserable we were eager to get moving. There was one problem though and that was we cant even get anybody to talk to us at the vet for longer than 2 minutes. We keep getting told they will call us back and they wouldnt. After a day of no response, multiple attempts and basically pleading for help on the phone we talk to someone who can help mid-afternoon the next day. Keep in mind we have a sick dog that is suffering before our eyes swollen up and the only thing keeping her from feeling better and taking medicine is some form of communication from the vet. Some time goes by after my dog takes her medicine and we decide its best to put her to sleep now. So we call Creature Comforts and more of the same and once we do hear from them they cant fit our dog in for the next few days. Now, we asked them before hand if this would be an issue and they said no just call and bring her in. They said they would call another vet in the area and they would try to help. Well it turns out they explained the whole situation incorrectly to the 2nd vet we called them ourselves and explained and they fit my dog into their clinic no problem. The 2nd vet was 100% the opposite experience. Not only did they tell us that chemo was unnecessary for this case and that it wouldnt have made her quality of life much better if it had worked. They also told me Creature Comforts gave my dog the wrong dose of steroids this whole time for her weight. Creature comforts showed no compassion and made an already tough situation on us harder at every turn. I wouldnt take anything there I cared about no less my own pet. This place may look the part but it lacks heart.

My boyfriend and I have tried a few different vet clinic, but we ended up going to Creature Comforts in Eaton, Ohio yesterday and both of us were extremely satisfied! Not only did Dr. Hicky pop in and chat with us for a good minute when she wasnt even going to be our vet, but Dr. Brissey was more than comforting and took her time with us. You can really tell every single staff member really loves what they do. Did I mention everyone was coming in to see Max, even the kitties?

1 of the best and most helpful vets Ive ever dealt with. Super knowledgeable and, willing to help. I love the entire staff. Owning 10+ dogs and being a breeder, Ive dealt with a lot of vets and I have stuck with Creature comforts and their staff for the last 4 years, They always find the problem and have the solution! Dont waste your time or money, or take any risk anywhere else! Keep up the love and hard work guys!

They are wonderful here and treat you like family! I am very particular about my babies and I never have to worry because I know that they are in good hands with Dr. Hickey and her staff. They really care about your pets as if they were their own. They are fantastic and very knowledgeable, I trust them all completely.
