If you value your pet, do not leave your pet with these people!!!! On Feb.18, 2016, I took my 9 year old Chihuahua to have a dental scale and spay, an hour later Dr. Rose-Toler called me and asked why my dog was coughing so much. I said, ”I dont know because she rarely coughs at all.” I couldnt figure out what she was talking about. After $135.00 for x-rays, she called to let me know that my Chihuahuas trachea was collapsed. God as my witness, I believe workers in this vet collapsed my dogs trachea when they walked her, or during her stay! Since my dog has been home, she has not been the same as before taking her to Value Vet. She is coughing a lot daily and she wasn’t before I left her at Value Vet. When I spoke to Dr. Rose-Toler about what happened to my dog she was very rude to me and denied anything happened to my dog at Value Vet. She said my questions to her were not relevant to the conversation. Two days later, I purchased all my dogs medical records from Value Vet, and they assured me all x-rays and records were included, even the previous x-rays from my dogs upset stomach from several months earlier. I wanted to compare the previous x-rays to the present x-rays. However, when I got home not only were the x-rays I wanted not there, the medical records (regarding my conversation with Dr. Rose-Toler) did not accurately reflect our actual conversation. The conversation she listed in my medical records said I told her my dog had been coughing a lot and I thought she had a collapsed trachea. This is not what was said and is a lie!!!! The actual conversation was about why my dog was coughing so much, which I said I didnt know my dog rarely coughed, and she told me my dog had a heart murmur of a 3 out of a 6. Furthermore, I had taken my dog in November 6, 2015, for all shots, full exam, and full blood panel to get her ready for a dental scale and spay. The Dr. who examined her at that time told me she only had a slight heart murmur, but nothing to worry about. She wanted me to wait several weeks for my dogs surgery because my dogs stomach had been upset. I believe these people collapsed my dogs trachea! In addition, Dr. Rose-Tolers actions regarding changing our conversation in the medical records, and not giving me the x-rays I specifically asked for, proves to me Dr. Rose-Toler and Value Vet medical staff covered up what happened to my dog. These people are not competent!!!! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS WITH THEM!!!! ***UPDATE*** After my dogs heart medication (that Value Vet prescribed to her) ran out, I had to take her to another vet . So, I went to Brookwood Animal Hospital to refill the heart medication. After two doctors Dr. Craig Yeomans, DVM, and Dr. Layne Shuttles, DVM, listened to her heart and looked at the previous x-rays, they told me they didnt hear a heart murmur and that her heart looked normal on the x-rays. The total bill was $65.00. They gave my dog and I a superior level of customer care, it was wonderful and well worth it. If my dogs trachea had not been collapsed, I would have put my dog on heart medication that was not needed, which would have been many vet visits and medication costs. BE WARY OF VALUE VET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people are REALLY horrible. They entice you with so-called affordable pet care (particularly when they open a new facility). New facilities are walk-in friendly. Then after they have been open a while you must make an appointment. I took both of my pets there for over a year. Then one of my beloved dogs got sick. I wanted the same vet to see him because she was familiar with my pet family. I took him during the week, they left me sitting in the waiting room for over 1 1/2 hours only to tell me I was not checked in by the office manager and that they could not see me. They didnt even tell me they no longer did not see patients without an appointment. I took him back the following Saturday after he started throwing up. The office staff who were familiar with me and my pets told me they could not see my, by now, very ill dog. Remember, they had cared for my best friend for over a year. I took my records, the women was very rude and flippant manner wished us well. THESE PEOPLE KILLED MY DOG!!!! They missed the fact that he had been growing a tumor inside his belly for over a year. I had taken him to this place on repeated visits. The vet had to sit down with the PDA to properly prescribe medication. On that Saturday I ran around trying to find a vet who would see a new patient. Long story short, he had to have an operation. They removed an 8lbs tumor and his spleen. He ended up getting an abscess and I had to put him down. Sajak was very special - I know everyone says that about their kids and pets - but he was and I love him more than life. The new vet, Mill Creek Animal Hospital, were loving and kind and worked with me on the payments to perform the operation and post-op care. Beware taking your beloved friend and fur family to these people for ANYTHING other than shots. The staff are horrible, the vet is incompetent !!!! BEWARE. I am going to write a review on these people wherever possible.

The people are very nice no doubt, BUT, the thing i didnt like is the business approach. The visits price is about $35, which sounds great when they tell it to you on the phone. After they diagnose your pet they prescribe their in-house medication as the cure and thats apparently where the money is. I payed an extra $45 for $12 worth of medication that some vets even give you for free. My total was like $75 after i had said "no thanks" to extra stuff they wanted me to add. I went with it this time because my dog needed the care and it was out of question to wait for another appointment. OK the strategy might be a smart move if you are a shark, but as a customer it sucks to realize it. I dont like how sneaky some businesses can be for your money. Taking advantage of peoples naiveté to get more of their money is not good business. Other than that, if you dont care about the cost or the "getting ripped off" feeling. They are great (well actually my dogs itch is back as soon as the meds were over, Im gonna have to give them a call) Its not really a rip off (thats just how it feels) because you might end up paying around $ 50-80 somewhere else for the same care; however, its how they manipulate pricing and information about it thats misleading. I feel like i cant trust them, they know people love their pets and they are ready will "YES" every suggestion for the benefit of their pet, thats their bread winner right there. I usually dont write reviews, especially negative ones but people deserve to know about this one big detail because they need to be prepared. I had only brought $50 in cash thinking it would cover everything.... wroooonggg... i was forced to find an additional form of payment right then. Your choice!
