Dr. Henke is a worm. Listen to the people and please read reviews. My review does not come after a one time visit; two years ago my husband asked me why I keep going to Placer Dermatology because he thought they were con-artists. Well as the cookie crumbled, I finally came around to fully agree with my husband. The whole goal of this business is to make money off of you, and this is to over-charge by way of unnecessary over-treating; meaning they are more of a money-making business than a medical care provider. I seriously recommend to do all of your research and read all reviews of prior patients first. Listen to what we have to say. If you really have medical skin concerns, then I do not recommend this office.This is not the type of dermatologist office you will walk into feeling assured that you will be taken care of thoroughly. They have retail accessories and all kinds of knickknacks they want to sell you right when you walk into the building. You will feel like they are going to push their Botox services on you while they remove that big mole youve been concerned about (and the 14 other moles that really didnt need to be removed, seriously). The staff are not very bright, so be prepared to deal with ongoing and unresolved difficulties with billing and obtaining prescriptions with incomplete paperwork before they get canceled. I paid this business an undisclosed amount of money just to get rid of this headache and not deal with them anymore...hundreds and hundreds of my own money down the drain. Please look elsewhere! My goal here is to save others from any distress. All my best : )

I had been going to Dr Henke for years and before deciding to leave it was apparent to me that the approach to his medical practice became more business oriented than patient care oriented. Waiting time exceeded 45 minutes while the waiting room was packed. Having accepted my medical insurance coverage for years and then refusing it ensuring him maximum costs to the patient. I always felt each visit was going to become a minimum $500 visit dus the recommended procedures " on the chance " a blemish could become something. I do credit him with competent procedures when needed but there are other criteria involved that I believe he is overlooking and there are certainly numerous quality dermatologists to choose from in the region to tolerate such issues.

First time visit so I waited 45 minutes just to get into an exam room. The P.A. gave me the impression that she was the doctor. She and Dr. Henke looked extremely rushed for time. Went in for a skin condition, walked out with four razor blade marks for "biopsies." Once my appointment was done, I was expected to write a check and/or pay now $58. and this was asked of me at the front desk (not the secluded side desk because that was taken) - in front of other patients and it was NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. I should have been told UP FRONT what my responsibility on this visit was going to be. Not planing on coming back here EVER.

The reviews on this site are very accurate. This practice aggressively over treats and over bills. They pay no attention to your insurance policy and demand payment when payment is not due. They hold your money when they should not have collected it to begin with. When you do have a co pay, they do not cash your checks and continue to bill you for the same thing that you have already overpaid!!!! To say they over treat is an understatement. Skin cancer is serious... I would run very far from this practice as they are not ethical; someone should investigate them for over billing and over treatment!

Beware of office manager. Tried to get "my medical records" today and was informed by very rude, condescending and unprofessional person that I would have to pay $25.00 to get a copy of my records. Her response was "its office policy". I asked where it was written that there was a charge for this. As most offices have their policies posted. Apparently this office policy is not shared with the patients upfront. So my medical records are being held hostage until I pay the ransom. (not going to happen)

Ridiculous billing, even dishonest billing. Presented with a bill for missed visits from 2-3 years prior, no explanation, no resolve. I had been a patient for many years. If I ever missed an appointment I called or made it up, unless an absolute emergency. I paid every time I went for a visit, never any mention of this supposed unpaid balance. They would not work with me in any way to resolve, even threatened to send me to a collection agency. Watch your bill closely, or find a new doctor.

This is a joke of a business. I have been in the medical field for a long time and I know our patients always come first. Watch your bill close. They will charge you and send you to collections for appointments you apparently cancelled and never did. The appointment was rescheduled. Not to mention their billing Manager is so rude. Worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Placer Dermatology has the most convoluted, confusing, ridiculous billing I have seen from a provider. They will consolidate several bills together giving you a balance owed EVEN IF part of the bill was already paid. The net result is, It is very easy to overpay based on the bill received. Buyer beware.
