I had never had a facial before, and after receiving a gift certificate, decided to try it. During the consultation, it was clear that Chris, the esthetician, had an idea as to what she was going to do for my face, but the process was never clearly explained and in the end I paid much more than the services than I had expected. The extraction process was extremely painful and I came home with red splotches all over my face, which later turned into scabs all over my face. After showing my friend, who is also an esthetician, a picture of my face, she said she had never seen anything like it. I couldnt be more disappointed with my first facial or the services that were provided. Not to mention that I have no idea how long it will take my face to heal. I would never recommend The Acne and Skin Care Clinic to anyone.

This is a skin treatment place, this is not a day spa. So, anyone wondering why they went and had painful extractions done and left with marks, THIS IS an actual facial cleansing facial. If you want your cheeks rubbed with lotion, go to a day spa. They are amazing. Ive been going for over 9 years and they fix problem skin. Truly. You leave, and obviously, to dig up pores, it takes a couple of days before your skin looks awesome and clean and healthy. Anyhow, myself and several people over the years Ive referred have loved this place and theyre super reasonable, compared to the fluffy facials Ive had at spas that did absolutely nothing.

I have never had a treatment that was so clinical....Although I know that they do offer "fu fu" facials that are relaxing they specialize in facials that actually clean the pores...I looked a little irritated for a day but my skin was flawless after 2 days. Areas that had been clogged for months were gone. I loved the whole experience.. they were very knowledgeable about products..I purchased the Acne kit and and my skin has never looked better. I cant believe that I had heard of their clinic before..However, I do know that they have just moved to the Folsom area..

The staff here was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Initially we had no luck with what type of treatment to start with for a random, singular cyst I have had for 3 months, but they ended up putting salicylic acid on it for about 5 minutes with this special air penetration want, didnt charge me since it was so stubborn, and then 3 days went by and now its flat! I will definitely go back for routine checks.
