OK so we noticed our dog had worms. As soon as I got home from work on Saturday April 23 I took a stool sample to them they told me it would be approx. 24 hours. When we noticed the worms we decided to go to jacks pets and pick up a safeguard de wormer. 24 hours after we gave our dog the dewormer she became very ill. On Sunday evening we took her to the emergency clinic. She checked out OK good vitals. They recommend to feed her boiled chicken and a small amount of pepcid to help. My wife and I both called on Sunday and Monday April 25th. I called at 9:15 she called again at 9:30. We did not hear back from them until 11:00 on Monday afternoon. My wife left work early to take her to the vet and get the medicine. When she arrived they weighed her and gave her a quick check up. They vet told her that the ingredient in the safeguard did not treat her type of tapeworm. So they gave us cestex. We noticed a change in her mood she started to get better. We had an appointment on May 2nd for a check up because we got this dog a month ago from a co-worker. So on May 2nd I told the vet that we were still noticing worms. So instead of giving her more cestex the gave her the same active ingredient in safeguard that doesnt treat her type of worms. We both told them how sick it made her and they still gave her the same active ingredient that doesnt treat her type of worms. Now I will be making a 3rd trip in less a weeks time to return the medicine they gave us and I will be finding a new vet. I feel bad for my poor dog. She is a 6.5 pound pomapoo. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. They had the stool sample results and still did not give her the correct medicine to treat her type of tapeworm.

I dont think any of the poor reviews are justified. Ive had quite a lot of dogs in my life and have always treated them like a family member. Which, when they get sick, can become fairly expensive.Ive been to more than my share of emergency clinics. Ive also had a few vets. Some were better than others, and some more expensive. My first visit with Dr. Kramer was an emergency visit. I had quite a few friends brag about her practice and staff. On the morning of my initial visit, my Vet was out of town, So I showed up in their waiting room without an appointment, and without ever being a client, completely vulnerable to them. They took care of my dog and of me. It turned out to be a three week ordeal. The place isnt fancy, and extremely busy. But they were extremely competent, caring, and empathetic to my needs. They treated us so well, they are now my regular vet and are worth the drive from anywhere. Comments about having to be put on hold and the "mean" staff, are completely misguided. They are extremely busy. Its a family business, not part of a national franchise. Ive watched them in action over my three week ordeal, and can tell you they are efficient, polite, and courteous. Some personalities are more outgoing than others, but everyone there is dedicated and loves what they do. I have no reason to look elsewhere.

I have to agree with Rebecca Cepluch. We have been going to Dr. Kramer for 13 years. Loyalty seems to go no where with them. My wife and her family have been using her for a long time as well. When our dog had emergency they could not see her for they claimed they were to short staffed and could not see her. We then called other Vets and one told us they were busy, but they would squeeze us in. The other minor thing is we have sent a email to them about our concern on Monday evening and as of Wednesday morning we have not received a response. We really like Dr. Kramer as a vet, but to me some of the customer service is lacking. Especially when you have been so loyal. Since this posting Dr. Kramer has contacted me about how upset we were. She gave me a good explanation why they have instructed us to use another vet and from what she said makes sense. It does show me that she cares about the pet. Now I did give her the thrid star for that reason. I hate to say with heading to the other Vet our chances of staying there are high. I be honest it does sound like the staff could use a little training on answering the phones and so on.

Love Dr. Kramer and her staff! We have been taking our animal babies to her office for over 10 years now. We found this office through a rescue center and began seeing her when a large vets office in Cincinnati began to push unnecessary meds and couldnt agree on a diagnosis of our pet. Dr. Kramer knew what was going on right off the bat and was able to help. Started seeing her with our older collie and when her time came she and her staff where very compassionate, gentle and caring with us all. She has always been spot on when treating our cats & dogs. Very knowledgeable and her staff stays on the cutting edge of technology & never pushes any treatment unnecessary. In emergency situations her front office staff is quick to find a solution and jump into action. The office is no frills but thats fine with me. I dont need a designer waiting room for my pet to get good care. Its clean and simple. I cant recommend her and the staff enough - we drive 30 minutes to get to her office and are happy to do so.

After seeing so many good reviews I decided to take my cat here for the first time to have surgery. I was grateful they got me an appointment in only 3 days. I went in the day before his surgery to drop him off. I should have known something was up when they didnt have paperwork for his surgery. They eventually found his appointment and I let it go. The receptionist took me, my 3 year old, And our kitty into an exam room. 40 MINUTES PASSED AND NO ONE CAME IN. I finally got so fed up I just left. When I left, there was no one at the counter either. When I called to cancel his appointment 20 minutes later I was placed on hold for 10 more minutes(by now almost an hour of waiting). The girl who cancelled it was short with me and rude.

I adore Dr Kramer but since her daughters took over the front it appears to be a small nightmare! They are rude and when I ask a question I was told they were discontinuing my relationship! Never missed a bill being paid on the spot and been loyal since 2008 when I met her! Since my bad experience and asking friends where they go (trying to find a new vet) I have had 4 different people tell me they had the same bad experiences there also and left because of these girls rudeness. Harrison is a small community and the bad word is spreading fast so its a shame but it looks like they are driving her out of business as she used to be the most reasonable priced around. Darn shame - Dr Kramer works her tail off!
