The bigger they get, the worse the service...Norlanco medical associates has grown over the years and has recently added again...while this is great for them, it has not been so great for the rest of us...they are frequently overloaded with appointments which makes wait time unbareable when you are in pain or sick, they are less friendly and tend to rush you along, and I myself have been given incorrect information on my condition most reccently by some nurse who called me back after a visit to inform me of the result of some x-rays I had done...I had gone there for back problems to see Dr. Brubaker, who is not my usual Doctor and he had placed me on muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds (yet nothing for pain) and sent me for x-rays. The nurse who called with the results stated that it was just some mild arthritis in my lower back and that I was to follow up with the Doctor if it did not subside. I continued to have terrible pain so I called for something and they could not give me anything because they said they do not PRESCRIBE narcotics on the WEEKENDS. Apparently pain is not as important on the weekends as it is during the week. No worries, I did not understand either so I called that Monday and got something maybe slightly stronger than tylenol that did absolutely nothing (well worth the money I paid and the time I sacrificed i am sure). The following week I followed up with MY Doctor (Dr. Bidler) who is very good to me and he stated that in fact it was NOT arthritis, that in fact it was DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE in one of the discs in my lower back. I am now in therapy for the next month or better. He placed me on a much better pain med not to mention gave me the CORRECT diagnosis and made sure I was taken care of properly. It has been about two weeks and I had taken the last of my pain pills. When I called the office to get permission for a refill, I was told that because it was Saturday, they would try to get a message to a Doctor, but that it was not guaranteed that I would get the refill untill Monday due to the light staffing they keep on weekends. Before I could say anything, she stated that this was the best she could do and attempted to cut me off for another call. Now since I have written a book here already, I will just tell you that our words to each other after this were not very nice and I am still waiting on pain medication. Why is this??? And why do they not explain to you that if you think you are going to need more before the weekend, you had better make a call or your out of luck untill Monday arrives?! If they are always swamped on Saturdays because of the staffing, why dont they make a change and staff more Doctors? But god forbid, me asking that is like asking for the cure to cancer. Or at least they think so...

A second person in my family has been denied service simply because they do not go to the doctor often enough. I dont remember the year but it was a few years after I graduated high school, I called to get an appointment. I dont remember what I had but I had to fight with the scheduler to schedule an appointment because according to them I was not a patient because I had not went to the Dr. since high school. As long as I could remember my family went to Norlanco and to now be refused service because I dont go on a regular basis. I was able to argue myself into an appointment after much debate and frustration. Just last night my Father was as well refused an appointment because he too has not been to the Dr. in some time. Again we all went to Norlanco growing up that was our Dr. I think its sad that this is the approach they have taken and I will be e-mailing their staff to let them know.

I have been going to NorLanCo since 1991. I have never had a problem with them; they have always been available for me for general medical care to emergencies. I find the staff to be helpful, courteous, and caring. Wait times have never been excessive; they do not seem to overbook appointments. Although I prefer to see my PCP whenever possible, I have the option to see a number of other doctors if the appointment would otherwise be scheduled too far in the future for my preference. With the addition of MyLGHealth online recently, it becomes even easier to communicate with them and review test results, etc. I highly recommend NorLanCo if you live in the area.

Gave one star because I couldnt give 0. The admin staff is the only part of this facility that does a good job.
