3s the charm, not so much! I have been to Poinciana Medical Center 3 times most recently tonight 8/19/16. Lets go back in history. About 8 months ago I came in for a severe migraine and needed some relief. Doctor comes in and sees me and says we are going to give a cocktail of medicine to help with the headache and send you on your way. Nurse comes in 5 minutes later gives me 2 shots I start to relax but feel sick start cold sweating and shaking. Nurse says well this will help with the nausea and we are discharging you. I couldnt even walk out of the room or building so I was put in a wheel chair and they start to bring me out. My wife says he shouldnt be leaving my blood pressure was dropping and I literally soaked the wheel chair in a matter of minutes from cold sweats. Eventually after another half hour I got released and went home to sleep everything off but the obvious lack of knowledge to identify that I shouldnt have been discharged when they were originally going to was not even close to being present. Fast forward two months, Reluctantly I come back because of knee pain I had a general idea of what it was. Probably gout. I come and I didnt pick up on it previously but they ask what are you here for I explain and they say ok what is your social security number you know all the "personal info" no privacy just at the counter when you walk in so I quietly give my info and they said have a seat and this triage insurance info gathering employee on a mobile computer set up comes up to me in the middle of the waiting room and says can I verify your info to expedite the process so he starts to blurt out all my personal info while I am sandwiched in between two people I dont even know, totally pissed me off. It got worse when I was seen. So my name is finally called and they bring me through the door and sit me in a chair in the hall of all places ando no privacy and a practitioner comes over in the hall starts to look me over says what do you think it is I have an opinion but Im not a doctor. What happened next floored me. He says listen its pretty busy here we could run a test but its going to take a while so Im going to prescribe you some meds and send you on your way. Im not kidding I lost it after I was discharged and vowed to never come again. I actually asked to speak to the house supervisor after to tell her of my experience and she was as shocked as I was and had no feedback. Here we are again tonight 8/18/16 my ankle is throbbing no apparent injury probably gout same issue in the lobby asking for privatized info in a not so private setting. I come in to the room it was dirty so the nurse attempts to clean it so I wait in the hall. Minutes later he says we will need a urine sample here is the cup use the bathroom over there. OK, I come out the nurse was gone no idea where he wants the sample. Now Im limping up the hall to the nurses station and I tell them the situation and the nurse says can you just grab the sample and bring it back to me then says no just bring it to your room and put it on the counter. I can barely friggin walk and they want me to go get a sample for them. So I get the sample to see where this goes. Get back to the room floor was dirty trash over flowing thinking you got to be kidding me. Nurse comes in after 3 very quick x-rays and says here take this. Its ibuprofen doctor comes in a minute later says well lets see the ankle and says well I thinks its gout after we talked a bit. I said well the sample is right there so when you run it that will confirm. Oh were not going to run the test. WHAT!!! Diagnosis are being given while actual protocols and test are not being followed or done and people are going to get hurt if they havent already. On top of that they are violation almost every hippo/privacy law and policy with their info gathering practices. I will only trust my body from now on to Celebration Hospital. Sad thing is I only live ten minutes from Poinciana Medical Center.

Horrible Service.I had an accident on April 21st once the EMS told me they will transported me to Poinciana Hospital I said no they said its the closest hospital I said well no choice because I was bleeding heavily through my nose and severe headache. The EMS called them gave my history trauma pt will be there in 5mns When I arrived at the ER nobody cared for me they left me on the stretcher by the nursing station for more than 10mns. They were a lot of nurses theyre talking about their personal life at the nursing station I got pissed off felt get up and walked away but I was strapped to the stretcher. The EMS came back with someone idk if he was a nurse or a tech because he didnt present himself to me he was having a conversation with the 2 EMS.Arrived to the room their conversation about their work schedule and how to pick up overtime for the month of June still going on they transferred me from the stretcher to the bed without saying a word to me but thanks God one of them remembered to hand me the call button and left the room. 15mns after a Male nurse came he did apologize for the wait and have to go back to pick up something came back did the vital signs and stuff and wait for another 15-20mns to see a female doctor. So my overall experience was terrible as a first time patient I never mentioned to them if Im a nurse and I dont think even I mentioned it it couldnt have done any differences because every human being has to be treated the same.I thank the Dr for releasing me the same night after my CT-scan result if she didnt I could have got a stroke.

Sad that there is a hospital five minutes from my house. I have given them five chances to help me. I suffer from several ailments gastroparesis being one. Sometimes it acts up causing vomiting for days where I cannot hold anything down by mouth. This very last visit the P A I saw was just wonderful. But that is it. Nurses did not acknowledge I was in room. Everytime I came in it was for the same reason yet my paperwork says back pain when they announced over a loud speaker I was septic. Gave me a ton of antibiotics and Sent me home. I felt maybe things would get better back in for gastroparesis and kept one day so they could test my heart! Thousands of dollars worth the tests and also had a pic line put in. I thought finally since I continuously threw up they will make me npo and I will get better!!!! No they came in with nurse and a Dr. Said I was releases at 6am and no one told me and I would have to pay for the five hours still there. I told them I just threw up which was all over floor and they said to take care of that at home????? I asked to call Medicare they said Medicare cannot help you or do anything your test results are good. My test results have been good and celebration took care of my problems was admitted for weeks before until vomiting completely subsides. This was so very disappointing 5 minutes from my home and I cannot get care
