I was introduced to DR. CLAY LEATHERS at a county event in Paulding County "BEAT THE HEAT" was the event, this is a spay / neuter clinic for the home owners of Paulding County to help stop the over population in the cats and dogs of the county. When I went to the vets office to have my animals spayed and neutered I was very pleased at the quality of Dr. Leathers work.. I do k-9 rescue and have used MANY vets through out the years and his spay incisions were so clean and tight I was very impressed as I have never seen such care before.... I started using DR.CLAY LEATHERS for all of my pets and the animals I rescue... DR. LEATHERS and his staff are super nice!!!, they always welcome me with a smile and they do take the best care of my animals... DR. LEATHERS takes time to explain what is wrong with the animals, treatment options and or plans and how the health problem or issues came about and how to correct it if poss... so the health problem will not return.. The vet reports on my pets are very detailed like nothing I have ever seen, top notch... love it, DR.LEATHERS is very detailed in his work and care... I refer all of my rescue adopters to him because he and his staff are very easy to talk to and they make sure you understand and get the best care for your pets. I love the staff at NEW HOPE ANIMAL HOSPITAL and when it comes to your family member I TRUST THE BEST !!!! DR. CLAY LEATHERS AND STAFF ARE THE BEST!!!! This practice is very easy to work with and when you have to go to the vet as often as I do... It is so important to know and love the work that is being done... DR. LEATHERS and staff are active in many community programs and this is a wonderful faith based business which is so refreshing in todays time to walk in and find Christian music playing and on all of his vet records he has the verse COLOSSIANS 3:23 "WHATEVER YOU DO, WORK AT IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AS WORKING FOR THE LORD, NOT FOR MAN. ... " this is how the practice operates... and I cant ask for anything better in a business...The care of my animals are very important and this staff loves and cares for them as if they were their own... I RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE TO ALL! and thank the LORD for them!!!

Everyone was so kind, caring and thoughtful. I went in with a very sick 13 year old Yorkie that belongs to my 1st husband who had gone on vacation. The receptionist said it would probably be an hour or so wait to get us in. I filked out the paperwork and within 15 minutes we were being seen. She was a very sick dog, high fever. They kept her over night. The next day I went to see her. The techs were so nice, they took me back where she was so I could spend time with her. Dr. Leathers came to talk to me and told me the prognosis was not good. He allowed me to make the necessary phone calls to include those needed to make the decision to have her put to sleep. She was suffering and it wasnt fair to her to lie there in that condition. Once we made the decision, the Dr had some charges taken off the bill for medicine she was not going to have. Although the office was closed at this point, I was told to take my time with "Sedar" until I was ready. I had taken her blanket and her two stuffed animals. I held her, put her on her blanket, talked to her and loved on her. When I told them we were ready the Dr told me everything he was doing. After he listened to her heart and said she was gone one of the techs came in and made a paw print with Sedars name imprinted. All the arrangements had already been made to have her body picked up for cremation. I dont have any pets. I had never been in that office before, but they treated me with respect and kindness. I would definitely refer any of my friends to New Hope Animal Hospital. Thank you for all you did.

New Hope Animal Hospital is a GREAT place to take your pet! The vet and his assistant are knowledgeable, patient, and caring. It is also so nice to see how all of the employees work together as a team...pitching in where needed. Each of them go beyond what is necessary to help the animals, the owners, and Dr. Clay. Wait until you meet Stephanie! She is such a joy. My husband and I both say that she is in the right line of work for herself. You can immediately see how much she loves the animals and loves her job. We still walk out of there talking about how much she loves our dog. Everything they do to our puppy is thoroughly explained to us. Dr. Clay is honest and real. Cesars got nothing on him...Dr. Clay is the real dog whisperer. Dr. Clay even took the time to show us how to walk our dog on a leash properly so she wont pull and stop and smell everything everywhere when I take her on walks through the neighborhood. New Hope Animal Hospital is also more affordable than most that weve been to in the past and Ive never been there where it has been hectic and chaotic. Im glad a friend recommended NHAH for us to take Pickles.

We are sooo thankful to Dr. Leathers and his staff at New Hope Animal Hospital. We have 3 great dogs (2 rescued from Paulding Animal Shelter). Recently one of our rescues Dottie, a Blue Tick Hound mix, developed immense swelling around her lips, jaws and underneath her chin. She is a hunter who loves the woods so we had no idea what she might have tangled with. Approximately, 16hrs after the swelling started, I found a dead Copperhead (in several pieces) behind our house. We called New Hope Animal Hospital and explained our situation. We were directed to bring Dottie immediately to the clinic. Dr. Leathers examined Dottie thoroughly, gave her antibiotic and steroid injections, explained what to expect over the next 24-48hrs, and assured us she would survive. (He also told us we could take the dead snake back home : ) Dotties recovery went just as Dr. Leather said it would. Although the snake bite was fatal for the snake, thanks to Dr. Leathers, Dottie is back to hunting....just has a scar on her lip. We recommend Dr. Leathers and New Hope Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a top-notch vet practice.

Dr. Leathers and his staff are fantastic. Our first visit to their clinic was to check on a possible eye infection in one of our cats. Dr. Leathers did a very thorough examination and answered all of our questions. I really felt like he was taking his time with us and wasnt rushing in or out. I felt like our cat really mattered to him. The techs who assisted Dr. Leathers throughout the visit were incredibly friend. They were very sweet to our cat, which really meant a lot to me. The office has a very relaxed environment. Sometimes vet offices can be chaotic, but New Hope Animal Hospital has a very calm and caring atmosphere. The waiting area and the exam room were both very clean. Everything is new and in good condition. I cant think of anything negative about our visit. We plan to continue using Dr. Leathers for future veterinary needs for the rest of our pets. I can confidently recommend him and his practice as someone you can trust with your furry loved ones.
