This was my third bad experience at Banfield. I had heard good things from friends so unfortunately bought a wellness plan and am locked in for a year, or I would have stopped going a long time ago. First, I said the first time I was there I would like to keep seeing the same doctor, yet everytime I go I see someone different. The third time I went it was a vet who had just started one week ago and it was her first job. She was shaking during the shot she was giving my puppy and almost put it in the wrong area. Next, my boyfriend paid in cash for the wellness plan two months in a row before it was due, yet they still charged my credit card for those two times and would not refund me any of my money, $100 down the drain for a service I hadnt been happy with. I tried to get out of the wellness plan then but they wanted me to pay for the $1000 plus services (which wouldnt have been nearly as expensive at another vet office). Then, I had an emergency with my pet and called at 3:30 pm and she told me to come right in. I waited until 6pm to be seen while my pet was sick in the waiting room. They said they had to see every person with an appt before me as their policy. I wore in a medical office, so I understand working people in, but why would you tell me to come in and have my sick puppy wait for over two hours in the waiting room when he could have been much more comfortable at home? Needless to say, I will NOT be renewing my wellness plan after it is over.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Banfields policies. At first, I thought, "what a great plan!" Pay monthly for my pet to receive 2 check-ups per year. I thought this was great rather than drop $350-400 at once for my dogs annual exam. But, whenever there is an emergency, they can never see her. They have their entire day scheduled and booked and leave no room for emergencies. As people, our doctors schedule patients as well, but if an emergency comes up, they have you come in anyway and find room for you to be seen. I have also taken their advice and walked in, but ended up waiting for over 1.5 hours and had to leave for another appointment on my calendar. How can it be that they offer preventative care but not emergency care. I will not be renewing this plan and will find another Vet in my area. I am extremely disappointed and worried about my dog and because they are not available to help her, I have to take my dog to the Pet ER where they are great.

We love Banfield !!! Anything from routine visits to an emergency appointment for my pup after his surgery they were always readily available to assist. Dr. Hessler is my favorite but all of the doctors there are competent and kind. After my dogs neuter surgery I was worried his incison was getting infected. i called and was given an appt right away and waited about 20 mins to be seen. Not bad considering they were pretty busy. On a seperate occasion my dog had an issue with loose, bloody stools. Once again I was worked into the schedule promptly and seen right away. Their wellness plans are an excellent and and affordable way to ensure my pups health. I would highly recommend this facility to all pet owners !!

Arundel Mills Banfield....did a procedure on my cat that was supposed to be on my dog, and the manager never called me and avoided me...they work like an assembly line, are very impersonal, there are always extra charges not included in your wellness plan and they give you chargeable items you dont need. Please stick to a good local pet hospital. The other Banfield area clinics run like an assembly line also. If you love your babies dont use Banfield! Please dont !!!

Multiple times I was made to wait at least an hour for my appointment, up to 2.5 hours on one occasion (needed medications for my dog and couldnt just leave and come back another day). The last time I went, I was 10 minutes late and they told me my appointment time was up and the vet has left. They also did a poor job treating my puppys skin infection. Never going back - got much faster, more respectful, and more medically appropriate treatment at Charm City Vet.

We have received excellent care here for our two cats and dog. They are always attentive to our needs, willing to answer any question, and helpful in understanding the best care needed for our 3 pets. Besides this, they are affordable and provide options for preventative care. The wellness plans have been very beneficial to us. Weve been going to them for over a year and have not had one complaint.

They are always friendly and very professional. They always have plenty of appointment times available when you call ahead. I love the convenence of shopping while I wait for my appointment to begin. They always treat my pets very well. I couldnt be happier with there vet and staff.

They made me wait an hour before I walked out. I called in to make an appt. and still ended up waiting before I lost it. This was my first time at the Banfield in Petmarts (Towson, Putty Hill Rd.). It will be the last.

Walk ins are not really walk ins. I was told could bring my pet for emergency care between 10-12. I got there at 11 and was told my appointment would take to long to be seen.
