If I could give them no stars, I would. In January, I brought my cat to them because he wasnt eating/drinking and was having accidents in the house, which he never did before. They ran a bunch of tests & x-rays, told me he was dehydrated, had a UTI and was impacted (later showing me his bloody feces) and had an "unidentifiable mass" inbetween his legs which they were worried about ( I couldnt feel it). They gave him fluids, an antibiotic injection, charged me somewhere around $1500 over a period of 2 days (follow up with extra fluids) and sent me to the ER with him. I took my cat to the ER, where they did an ultrasound and told me they saw the mass, were thinking lymphatic cancer, but couldnt identify it without running further tests which could cost me up to another $800.00. I asked what treatment would be if thats what it was and ultimately decided to take my cat home without any further scans. After the antibiotics kicked in, my cat started to act normal again and I let it all go... about $2000 later. Well, fast forward 6 months and my cat is having the same issues all over again. I knew If I took him to Banfield, I would get burned so I took him to Odenton Veterinary Hospital. Come to find out this entire time my cat has been suffering from inflamed/infected glands (theres your unidentifiable mass!), which causes so much discomfort that cats will hold their movements until they can no longer be held (hence the accidents, impaction, refusal to eat/drink, etc) and needed a stronger antibiotic & some steroids. Banfield is a total JOKE! What kind of vet jumps to the worse-case scenario before ruling out the simple, more obvious answers first??? I will be posting my story ALL OVER YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE. Your "doctors" and techs shouldnt be allowed to get away with causing any family so much worry and costing so much wasted money.

I have been going to Banfield for 3 years now and love Dr. Vaitkus. He is knowledgeable, personable, and you can tell his true love of animals. With that said I recently had an experience that has prompted me to leave Banfield to find another vet. We pay monthly for both of our dogs to be on the wellness plan. Over the weekend my dog Nugget had some issues concerning his back and I was worried that he may be injured (not seriously because he was walking, eating, drinking, but he just didnt seem to be himself.) I called the Ordnance Rd Banfield asking if they could possibly fit him in over the weekend at some point. They told me no that they were booked solid for 3 weeks out and that there was no way he could be seen. When asked if I could walk in and wait without an appointment they told me that wasnt possibility and to go to an emergency vet if I was concerned. I found this to be a completely unacceptable response because first of all why would I pay for the wellness plan every month if I cant even use it and then to tell me to go spend more money at another vet because you cant fit me in, what is the point of having a vet if you cant go when your pet is in need. I dont know what changed or if they no longer leave empty appointment slots for pets in need because they are too money hungry or if the new system is just flawed. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I would not recommend this vet to anyone unless you want your pet to be in pain or sick while you wait for an appointment.

I would give it less than one star if I could. This is an extremely DANGEROUS place to take your pets. They over immunize, they dont ask lifestyle prior to giving shots to puppies. They gave a 14 week old puppy two shots that he did not need and was too young for. That puppy had a reaction and was rushed to an emergency vet to be treated for a life threatening reaction. The people at this place do not care about your pet. When they were called about the puppys reaction they blew us off like we were over reacting. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT trust these idiots with your furbabies. They are horrible and will not even apologize for nearly killing your pet. they will rope you in to a contract just to bring in money. If you love your pet take them to a vet that isnt ran my a company that manufacturers things like candy. Go to a place that has knowledgeable people that will look out for your animal and not just see dollar signs stamped to their little heads.

I spent months searching for the perfect vet. I eventually gave up. Took my pet into this banfield with the expectations is just another routine doctors visit. Of the 4 different vets that examined my cat (3 with banfield and another 1 from a private vet clinic) I stumble upon Dr. Vaitkus. Dr. Vaitkus was very informative and took the time to help me address questions and concerns. I wasnt rushed along and he definitely showed interest I caring for my pet and addressing my needs. He was exactly what I was looking for and expecting from a vet. I do believe the rest of the staff was very courteous and polite as well. Its a pleasure bringing my pets to this banfield everytime.

I just wanted to express my appreciation to the staff at Banfield Pet Hospital. Our 5 year old cat died suddenly yesterday from a blood clot. I tried reviving her at home but to no avail. My wife and I brought her in to Banfield Pet Hospital in tears, and the doctor examined Zoe right away to determine the cause of death and took the time to explain to us what happened. The staff was so nice and caring, and really showed a lot of respect and care for us and Zoe. For any future pet needs, I will be coming to this hospital. Thanks again!

I am so happy I found this veterinarian for my pug and chihuahua. I am quite picky in choosing my vet. and this place offered what I was looking for. The professionalism gets high marks and the prices are very reasonable. I found them reliable and provide prompt service. I live in downtown Baltimore and this place is well worth my trip.

The receptionist was terrible, I called a day before and asked if can bring my dog in the next day she said yes...I bring in the dog the next day just for her to tell me that the doctor is behind and that my dog cannot be seen. ...then she proceed to make up excuses on why he cannot be seen....poor customer service. ..

Love them! My family has been taking our dogs here for years and they are great. They take very detailed care of my dog, explain everything well, and are all very sweet with the animals. If you have their care plan its incredibly affordable to get high quality vet service.
