I had to take a kitten to Churchville veterinary clinic for an upper resiratory illness. We had a good experience that time but when I went back for the follow up and seeing a different vet we waited way too long to be seen and then when it was time to check out I was charged the same for a follow up as the regular appt but thats not the issue the issue is that I stood at that desk for over 30 mins waiting for a piece of paper no one bothered to even acknowledge me and there were 3 girls behind the desk and the one never shut up to even take a breath but at mo time did she think to make a few of her words " have you been helped?" So all In all it took 1 1/2 hrs for a 10 min vet check follow up visit!! Then my daughter brings another kitten up for examination because he comes down Ill with a snotty nose gunky eyes and is not eating, they said it was upper resiratory after waiting an hr to be seen mind you! They give her medicine after weighing the kitten and send her on her way. Just shy of 2 days later she gets up at 430 to go to work and the little kitten is stretched out on the floor about to die literally dying! So she and her boyfriend a young just starting out couple rush the kitten to the emergency vets where they ask if the glucose levels were checked because it wasnt eating and very very underweight it was a little fur ball so they couldnt tell this but the vet at Churchville by weighing the kitten and us later finding that it was half the weight it should be are wondering why Churchville seemed to just overlook this fact??? Causing terrible emotional heartache for my daughter and her fiance and the kittens life almost which is now on a tube and incubator that will cost them over $1000. They dont mind so much the money (but really) had the vet that saw the cat less than 24 hrs ago done what they were supposed to do this all couldve been avoided! I was planning on bring my cat up next week to get her fixed but dont think I will be now because if they cant take care of a resiratory infection than Im afraid if something more serious comes up with her as shes older then what else will be overlooked!?.

I have been a client of Churchville Vets for over 30 years, and never have I ever had any problems with the medical side or their grooming place. I have 3 dogs, and with their ages come a variety of illnesses, aches and pains. I buy all my medication via the Internet, and there hasnt been one time that they ever denied writing a scrip for me. Yes, you have to go pick up the scrip, and for some, that may be considered inconvenient. Sure, its a bit out of my way, but what do I want...a scrip that will save me almost 1/2 the cost that the Vet charges? You betcha I do. Is it inconvenient? No, not when Im saving money. If individuals want to save money, they have to weigh out the options. Have they been nasty? Nope, not ever. Do they keep me waiting for the scrip to be written. Guess it depends on what you consider the definition of "waiting" is. The longest I have ever waited is not more than 10 minutes. If you call ahead, and alert them that youll be there w/in the hour, the scrip is always ready. Choose your battles wisely, and remember, principle is a very expensive commodity.

As per usual I was extremely nervous about taking my dog anywhere new. This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I called with an emergency and they accommodated us with an appointment two hours later. Everyone was very friendly and The Vet Dr. Heller took his time to explain the situation to me. He did not try to up sell me on things that were not needed and was quite knowledgeable about the doberman breed. I will not hesitate to bring any of my animals back here.

This place is awesome! Very caring, never have to wait long, and very clean too! Dr. John Heller has been taking great care of our Australian Cattle Dog Bear since he was a puppy. Very thorough yet conservative. He takes as much time as necessary to explain everything in detail. I wouldnt dream of taking Bear anywhere else!

I have recently moved back to Md. I had my Secret cat 8 yrs and found a growth on her. They quick got me in and as well gave me options on Surgery. Even though she does have Cancer she healed well. Just got a new Teacup Pomeranian and Churchville Vet. was great with my 3. pound bundle of joy.

Very reliable and friendly, they have always taken great care of our shih Tzu Libby. We have so far used them for boarding twice along with had grooming and vaccines done there. Would strongly recommend them to anyone searching for a great kennel. Our dog always leaves happy and healthy.
