I was recently traveling on 58 when I saw a dog dragging herself across the road. She had been hit and was paralyzed in her back end. It was in the middle of a snow storm and the roads hadnt yet been salted. She was mostly white so it was hard to see. I immediately stopped, crossed the road and tried to get her to my car. She was in a lot of pain but she tried her best to make it in the vehicle. I called the closest animal hospital that I could find (Southampton Vet Clinic) and they told me to bring her straight away. I still had 3 hours to go on my journey and the snow was only getting worse. Although they gave me the option to take her to an emergency clinic and potentially do emergency surgery, we thought it best to end her suffering immediately because the road to recovery would be very long and very unlikely. They said they would take care of her, keep her in memory in case someone came looking for her (no tags or microchip), and respectfully bury her. I was just a stranger passing through, with an unknown dog that had a very small chance of survival, but they treated both of us so well and I am thankful that she was able to find a respite at the end. Thank you Southampton Veterinary Clinic. Country vets are so important, especially for the animals that arent spoken for.

They might be good if you have a dog, but dont ever take your cat here. There is a tiny, often dirty, waiting room that is always crowded so cats may be stressed out that they are surrounded by dogs. But also, when I first got my cat a few years ago, they did a routine wellness exam and never bothered to listen to his heart. I suspected there might be a problem so I got a second opinion and my cat was diagnosed with a heart murmur. If I had trusted my cats health to them it could have turned out very differently. Lastly, my cat had a bad flea infestation when I brought him home as a kitten and I would find flea larvae in his carrier. The vet actually didnt know what they were by looking at them and I finally put a few in a ziplock bag and watched them for a few weeks to see what they would grow into. That was how I figured out what they were. I would think flea life cycles would be vet ed 101, but not here. They are the only vet in Franklin, but I would rather drive to Suffolk than deal with this vet again. Are they cheap? Absolutely. But you are getting what you pay for.

We moved to Suffolk a year ago and had to find a vet fast for our dog who had broken out in hives. After calling around for hrs to find a good vet that could see her they day they said bring her in they where fast under standing . Even though we have drive all most an hr I would not use any other vet

Love Love Love this Vet! We moved out of Southampton County over 5 years ago and we still drive our fur babies back to the wonderful doctors and staff here! They are so kind and gentle - you truly can feel how much they all really care about the pets they see - wouldnt change my vet for the world!

Absolutely love this vet.... my cat was dying and in need of an operation asap..... every where I called they wanted 2-3 thousand dollars.... Not this vet.... they saved Kateys life .... Absolutely hands down awesome!!
