I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Manheim Pike Vet Hospital. My fiance and I are no strangers to vet clinics as our Great Dane puppy had chronic GI issues when he was younger and we were at the vet at least once per month for the first year of his life, including a special internal medicine vet. He has developed some behavioral issues lately, and from the first phone call I ever made to Manheim Pike, I have never felt so comfortable or listened to. They went out of their way to let us in the side door upon our first visit so we wouldnt have to walk through the front of the waiting room past other dogs. We were also 10 minutes late, and Dr. Jen also had another euthanasia patient at the same time, and she was able to go back and forth easily without making me feel bad about it. We had previously been to another vet in the area who was not able to handle our Great Danes anxiety and hyperactivity, and Dr. Jen had absolutely no issues handling him, and never made me feel embarrassed or bad about my dogs behavior, so this was huge for me! She made my dog feel comfortable around her as well and he was giving her kisses by the end of the appointment. Not only that, but Dr. Jen spent an extra HOUR after our appointment (which was the last appointment of her day) working with my dog and helping with his social anxiety issues. When was the last time your vet did that?? Im so excited that we found Dr. Jen and the rest of the staff at Manheim Pike!

I had my first visit here today and I couldnt be more pleased! I had just moved to the area in March and hadnt found a vet yet. My I was sure my cat had a UTI and since they were right up the street from my house I called first thing this morning. They were very accommodating and got me in right away. They even scheduled me an earlier appt because it could be serious. From the first person I met to the last, they were all so kind and helpful. My cat was downright psychotic in the exam room, it took 3 people to give him one shot. He was very embarrassing but they handled him so well. They were very patient and handled him the best they could. The Doctor was very nice and helpful and informative. The prices were also very reasonable. Im always scared of getting the bill at the end of the appt but was very surprised that it was actually afordable. The receptionist at end even carried my food out to my car for me because I had my cat. I am so pleased we found this vet and will recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much to all of the staff!!

Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital was recommended to us by our veterinarian to perform a procedure on our cat. I was very nervous about dropping him off at a facility that I had never been to. My experience was a great one, starting from the minute I stepped through their door to the time I picked up my kitty the next day. Dr. Steed was wonderful and very clear with his explanation of what he was going to do with our cat. He and his staff were not only knowledgeable, but also very caring and courteous. Dropping off a pet for any procedure is not easy and since we cant explain to them what is happening, it is so important that they enter into a pet friendly enviroment. I trust this facility 100+% and would recommend them to anyone!!!

I was referred by my daughter who has a gekko. Im new to owning a reptile ( a bearded dragon) and I just wanted to get him (Fred) a check up. I got very lucky with Dr. Steed, who also has a bearded dragon. He gave my little guy a good once over and answered all of my questions. I will be taking Fred back as necessary. the staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would reccommend them to anybody.

We moved to Lancaster 2 years ago and decided to try out MPVH as our vet for our 2 cats and 2 dogs. We see Dr Nelms for our visits and she has always been very friendly and you can tell she truly cares about the animals she sees. Everyone from the assistants to the receptionists have always been very friendly and courteous whether it be during our visit or on the phone.

Wow. very impressed on the level of care. walked in with the first cat carrier and by the time i got the 2nd in my first kitty already was in a exam room with a calming blanket over her cage. also extremely knowledgable doctor and let me know everything that he found. all the techs and receptionist were very friendly. i felt completely at home! great place!

The doctors and staff are wonderful at MPVH. We have been coming to MPVH for almost 15 years and have always experienced loving care for our children. Recently we needed some extra care and the doctors and staff were so accomodating and treated our babies as if they were their own. You get the best of care at MPVH even some extra care thrown in.

Cherish, a 14 y/o. DSH cat, sees Dr. Morris for a digestion issue. Last year the cat was just 5.1 lbs. & special food & topical ointment were prescribed. On 3/13/15 Cherish was 7.2 lbs.! At my request one of the staff brings the cat in from & out to my car, also the bags of food. MPVH provides great treatment for pet & owner!

This is the best most caring place Ive ever taken my pets to!! I called them when Banfield didnt do their job and my dog was almost dying bcuz of an infection that spread throughout his body, they told me dont worry about the money just bring your baby and the paperwork from Banfield~ now THATS a vet that CARES!!!

Manheim Pike Vet is a wonderful place. They care very much about pets and the people behind them. They really take the time to get to know you and your pets. They are quick to answer any questions you have and will address all concerns. If your pet is sick the get you in the same day.

They always give me their honest opinion and I trust them. Dr. Steed is my favorite but all the doctors and Techs are great. They give a warm welcome to both my Bulldogs and they love visiting the "doctor". And they always call the next day to check on them.

You might walk out with a bill for several hundreds of dollars and a bunch of extra services your pet might not have needed. If you dont mind spending more on pet care than health care, they do seem pleasant, until you get the bill.

Took care of my cats problem, but the vet was very rude by talking about disliking kids while I had my 2 year old with me. They also kept trying to push overpriced cat food on me at the end acting like it was a cure.

Theyre a professional office. Dr. Rovner is good and straightforward. He cares about the animals. He is the only vet who has ever given our cat a shot without her having a tantrum (Rovner slide technique).
