This Veterinary Clinic is the best. My Brittney Spaniel, Riley suddenly became lame. I had been on vacation from California for two weeks and had to quickly find a place I felt comfortable bring my dog. Kind of scary if you know what I mean. After much searching on the web looking and reading dozens of reviews from different places I took a chance with the Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic. Since I was not familiar with the Orlando area and was concerned about getting the best care for Riley as well as not being taken advantage of financially. I can not say enough about the wonder treatment Riley got here and me too. They have the best people who know their stuff and care work here. Riley had popped her knee cap out because of her hip dysplacia and all the extra exercise from being on vacation. These people went the extra mile at healing and caring for my dog that I love so much. Amazingly the bill was surprising low for all they did. That morning I just showed up and they took Riley in on a last minute notice without any extra charges. This is really an amazing place. Wish only I had a Vet like this here in California. Ashley texted me several times with updates about Riley and Debbie the office manager was super too. Doctor was real, genuine and very knowledgeable. This is a full service, well equipped Veterinary clinic. Why would anyone go anywhere else if they could bring their pet here. This is easily a five star place, no six star. You wont be disappointed. Oh and by the way, Riley is doing better than before I ever left on vacation! Thank you Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic for turning a very troublesome situation into a very pleasant one.

I spent an entire morning calling vets in the Orlando area to spay our house bunny. Not everyone seems to be comfortable with rabbits but we went with Dr Palm and here are a few reasons why: The receptionist represented the practice in a way that made me confident she understood what I was looking for- she was extremely nice and didnt mind answering all my questions and hearing my concerns. This might sound insignificant but after talking to so many that day, I could tell the difference between someone who was telling me what I wanted to hear and wasnt. We felt like we got quality care for the cost- Frankly the $700 quote I got from some other vets is way out of our budget. There are no bells and whistles here- no overnight stays or special injections, etc and I believe that is what is reflected in the lower cost here, but not the quality of service. Dr Palm dispelled all of our anxieties, had a great beside manner, had a thorough knowledge of rabbits and impressed me by acting like he cared about our rabbits lifestyle. It was almost like he was checking up to make sure we were being responsible owners at home and I liked that. He called me personally after surgery and even did our buns first because he knew I wanted her home quickly. We got a call from the front desk the day after to follow up, again very friendly and unrushed. I highly recommend them for rabbit visits!

I was recommended to Dr.Palm by my boss who swore by him. I was skeptical because my dog was very sick, had already gone to three vets and through four surgeries in less than 3 months and the vet bills were stacking up. Cooper was only a puppy at the time, less than a year old and he had this unknown medical condition causing these lumps to grow in his abdomen. Two vets and one specialist and still no one could figure it out therefor it kept getting worse. Dr.Palm took the time to go over Coopers entire medical history, he did blood work and did surgery. He diagnosed his condition and started him on the right medicine. When I had questions he took the time to explain things to me, even if I was calling and not in person. What makes Dr.Palm different than other vets is his experience and his dedication to getting animals better. Unlike other vets this office does not recommended extra services, they only do what is in your pets best interest. If your dog doesnt need an x-ray, then one wont be suggested. They dont run unnecessary tests or hold your pet for observation any longer than what is actually needed. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and you can truly tell that everyone there loves the animals that they are helping. I cant say enough good things about Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic - Im just thankful for all that theyve done for my dogs. Thank you!!

Just moved to Orlando back in March. Finally got my dog down here in July. Dog had a few problems eating appetite, and needed his stitches removed from his recent surgery. Dr. Palm attempted to remove the stitches, which he could not find at first. Then a second try, he was unable to remove the stitches. He informed me that the doctor that did the surgery did not do it correctly?? He said he would need to sedate my dog to remove them. It seems that Dr. Palm was just after a quick buck. Trying to get me to run through unnecessary test. Once I declined the test, he did not want to have anything to do with me. Besides the long waits, a 5 minute exam had me waiting an Hour and 10 minutes. The staff interacted with me. All seemed very friendly, and was willing to help. Also stated they were going to give a courtesy call. I did fell welcomed, but the doctors attitude and the long waiting just did not want me to come back. I personally would not recommend anyone to take there pet here, based on my first visit.

Dr. Palm and his staff are so nice and accommodating. We started going to him with our elderly German Shepherd, and eventually we went to Dr. Palm when we had to put her to sleep. Everyone was amazingly kind and patient with the whole process, and I never felt like we were rushed in saying goodbye or like my dog was uncomfortable in any way. Her passing was very peaceful in large part because of how Dr. Palm and staff handled her and us. Now we have an indoor cat and we are taking care of several outdoor cats, which has required several trips to Hiawassee Vet Clinic. Whenever we have an issue with the kitties, Dr. Palm explains everything patiently, lays out all our treatment options, and gives us an honest opinion on what he thinks we should do. Overall this is a really great clinic and Im glad we found them. If you need a vet in the area Id recommend seeing Dr. Palm.

Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic is great! Everyone is very friendly & I always feel that my dog is well cared for when I bring her in. I also like that they have extended hours during the week so I can bring her after work if something immediate comes up instead of having to wait until the weekend. Their web site is great too. I like being able to make appointments online & viewing my dogs personalized page which shows her history, what meds shes taken & when she is due for her annual shots. And I love how I can upload a photo of her, just like its her own Facebook page! The monthly newsletter is a nice feature. Very informative. All around Hiawassee Veterinary Clinic is a fantastic vets office!
