So unfortunately had a pretty rough customer experience at the Pet Alliance, Orlando Vet Clinic location - just over an hour ago (11:30ish) 09/10/16. No one died or anything, but damn, this one crazy b*tch couldve been a lot nicer. Granted, I may not have a model citizen dog, but when a baby is crying at a pediatrician - one wouldnt think to kick the baby out. Which is exactly what one receptionist saw fit to do today. At first, I didnt so much mind that she asked us to wait outside because "she couldnt get anything done with all that barking", but its that she offered to bring a clipboard outside to us, and then just turned her nose away. I didnt need a clipboard - but I thought this was a reasonable exchange given the public branding my pup and I just endured. She abruptly ushered us back out front. "This cant be happening" she says, "I cant hear anything". 5, 10, 15 minutes outside, a few clients go in and out, still no receptionist. Its 11:30ish, balls hot out there and Im losing patience. A technician comes out looking for another dog and I ask her "can I just go back in for some Nexgard and Heartguard?" Sure she says, "actually wait, Ill have one of the receptionists come out to you". That was nice again, I thought.. Another few minutes go by, still nothing. So I go in anyway, trying to calm puppy down as best I can. I see the same receptionist in question, still sitting behind the desk. I approach a different receptionist this time, whom was actually very kind. I ask if I could trouble them for some Nexgard and Heartguard - puppy still causing a ruckus. Low and behold, the rude receptionist pops up over the desk "he isnt gonna shut up, is he?" - "No" I told her, "hes not". The receptionist helping me states that we just need some Nexgard and Heartguard..., the rude receptionist interjects: "well get it to him quick, otherwise were not gonna get anything done around here". Really wanted to reach over that desk and knock some sensibility into her but just then but my restrain kicked in as I saw several other staff members turn around and shoot her a stink eye in disgust. Which only leads me to believe that this lady has some history of terrible bed side manners. Seeking sympathy, I exclaim "yeah, hes only 11 mos old". Nope, no such sympathy. The rude receptionist explains to the room "oh you need to enroll him in our training classes". A reasonable assumption by the employee handbook, but still, theres a way to sell this with some minimal degree of discretion. Biting my tongue, I hand the other receptionist my card, calmly paying for puppies meds. Given the audience of on-lookers behind me, I was so infuriated that I didnt even bother looking at the rude receptionists name tag. I just wanted to get the hell out of there so bad. All I could recall is that she was middle to late age, brown-dark red hair, had what look to be reading glasses with some aqua in them, and I would wager ethnicity - Hispanic? All I know is, had this been the Sanford Pet Alliance Vet Clinic, where we originally adopted pup pup - someone wouldve come out from behind that desk, given him a hug, a pat on the head, some water, any little bit of love and attention that makes all the difference in the world to him. But he cant speak for himself, he can only bark. So Im speaking for him. That lady should be doing something else, not working with clients, a quiet desk job filing in the back perhaps. But having her at the front desk of anything is damaging the reputation of your organization. In our past year of working with Pet Alliance, everyone else has acted and conducted themselves exemplary, made us feel cared for, and deserves to work around animals. This receptionists is toxic and spoiling the well for everyone. If other employees feel theyre unable to voice their opinions of her, I gladly will.

On Saturday June 3rd. I had the displeasure of taking my 11 month old Shih Tzu in to be neutered at the clinic. Please note, this review is only for the clinic as I have no experience with the other portions of the Pet Alliance Orlando location. My issue is not with the wait times, policy or procedures of the clinic. My issue is with the attitude and complete lack of professionalism by the staff. Jackie, I believe was her name. The women who first addressed the group of folks waiting in the morning was the the rudest person Ive ever had to deal with in my life. I completely understand that there is a certain level of stern you need to be when corralling that many folks and explaining how things need to be done but this woman was unbelievably rude to everyone. Shes clearly a miserable human being and the last place she needs to be is working with the public or animals in any capacity. She is absolutely disgusting. I could tell it wasnt just me who felt this way either from the looks on other folks faces. I also experienced one of the vet techs berating an older women because she didnt put a feral cat into the trap properly when bringing it in to be spayed/neutered. She spoke to this women in front of the entire waiting room with such disrespect that I had to really bite my tongue from standing up and saying something. I wish I had seen the vet techs name. She looked Hispanic with long black hair in a pony tail. Forgive me if I got her nationality incorrect. After the exchange you could tell how embarrassed the older women was and she even stated "wow she has a very nasty attitude". Also, when I was called to the front with my dog. I went to hand him to the vet tech and I was scolded for not handing him to her the "correct" way. Then you have the audacity to ask me for a donation? Which I completely felt obligated to donate because I felt had I not these people could hurt my dog. The impression I was given there was that because the pricing is discounted that these people feel they can treat you any way they want to. You absolutely get what you pay for at this clinic. These people didnt even knowledge the animals, they just carted and moved them around like objects showing no care or compassion at all. I felt so guilty for leaving my baby there that I cried all the way home and all day waiting for the time to pick him up. All just to save a buck. I will happily pay full price for all future vet needs if it means taking my dog to a vets office that shows that they actually like to work with animals. Ill never return here and Ill be posting this on every single board I can.

Do not bring your pets here! Extremely unprofessional place! Came in 4 days ago to get my dog neutered and they were late with dismissing the animals at the scheduled pick up time. The staff are anything but helpful. I was sent home with one days dosage of pain medication instead of the correct amount which is supposed to be multiple days worth. I do not believe my dog was given enough medication for his weight because hes been in pain since Ive picked him up. He cant get comfortable or sit still and hes crying non stop which is abnormal behavior for him. Hes a 60lb Shepard and should be taken care of tentatively, as should every other type of breed. Now I came in for a check up because Im worried. He threw up twice within 18 hours and wasnt eating much so I know something is wrong. I waited two hours to be seen and then waited another 40 minutes inside an examaintion room. Some nurse said he was given the wrong procedure and then left the room to get a doctor. How settling! The doctor came in and told me that she was incorrect and he had the proper procedure. She told me that my dog isnt in much discomfort because hes letting her pet him, sure. His man parts are extremely swollen and raw! She said that its probably from the cleaning and sterilization of the area or from when they "shaved him". That would have gone away within a day or two max. This is almost day five. Are you kidding? The staff here are not properly trained and I dont feel comfortable here or taken care of. Such a waste of money and time. Not to mention my fur baby is in pain! Think of it as a human injury. Sure you can touch it but its going to still hurt the person that has the injury. Now Im told that two anti inflammatory injections and antibiotics will be given to him and he will be fine, $150 later. Why would I be given antibiotics when there is no fever nor infection ? I work with dogs on a daily basis and was recommend this place by a co worker to this place. Im glad she had a better experience than I did but I will never come back here out of my will. I recommend my vet at universal. They are great and I wish I would have taken him there to get properly taken care of. Stay away from this place. Awful awful awful!!!!
