I wont be bringing my pets back to Banfield. I had scheduled an appointment for 2 p.m. to update my cats vaccines and chose Banfield over another vet because they had a coupon to waive the fee for the office visit. First, I showed up for the appointment at 1:45 and they refused to let me even sign in until exactly 2 p.m. Once I was signed in they didnt even take the cat until 3:15. The vet tech was pretty rude about dealing with my cat, and while I understand my cat isnt the easiest animal to work with, theres no call to being rude. When the vet came in he didnt even examine the cat. He just flipped her onto her side, asked me and the vet tech to hold her down and then gave her the vaccines. When I asked about the exam he said "I did, shes fine." So apparently waiving the fee for the exam means you dont get the exam at all. Finally as the vet tech was wrapping things up she said I was good for one year, and I wanted to clarify because every other vet I spoke to told me the vaccines are good for three years. She said "usually they are, but this time its only good for one. When you bring your cat in next year then her next vaccines will be good for three." So now I have to get the cat vaccinated again in a year, and I still have to take the cat elsewhere for a proper exam. I will be looking for a new vet the next time and I will not be coming back to Banfield as they were rude, my appointment time didnt matter, and I feel like Im being punished for not coming to Banfield previously. Save yourself the hassle, time, and money and find a better vet in the area.

3 out of the last 4 visits were scheduled wrong...and their response is ALWAYS "well, it;s in our computer that way". And how exactly do appointments get entered into your computer anyway? Oh thats right, PEOPLE enter them...and clearly your people are prone to mistakes. On one occasion I had an 8:00am Saturday appointment and when I got there, she said it was on the schedule, but they made a mistake because the doctor is always in surgery until 2:00...and I would have to come back. So on my way driving back that afternoon, they called me to cancel completely. Today I had an appt for 2:00, but when I got there they said I was a no=show for Friday @ 3:00. I work Mon-Fri, 8-5...no way I booked a Friday 3:00 appt. The purpose for the appt was my dogs pre-surgery urinalysis, which I mentioned when I scheduled the appointment. And surprise-when I got there they had no idea what the appt was for. Even when I reminded them it was for a simple urinalysis, they kept trying to charge me for other procedures. The staff does not pay attention and consistently get the details wrong, which is pretty scary considering you are putting you pets life in their hands. Correction, WAS putting my pets life in their hands. No way, no more

I have taken my 2 dogs to banfield here and the one near daytona beach near the i 95 exit. the one near daytona beach was awesome. This one is good, i like the nurses there and they always seem to love on my dogs and seem to like there job. I know that banfield seems to always get bad reviews but i have a good review. I dont like one male vet there as he seems kind of rough and didnt give me alot of confidence when i had my dogs teeth cleaned. I dont see him anymore. there is a female vet there that apparently visits multiple banfields and she is awesome. there is another female vet there that is..... well a nerd like me. She is so sweet and awesome, she actually makes me feel like she cares and takes the time to spend with my dogs and also answer all my questions. i will not see him again but i will see her. my note to people is when u see a vet there if u dont like the vet ask for another one, they have several, because like any doctor they have personalities that may or may not mesh with you. all in all i will trust banfield also because i travel and like knowing all my pets records are in one place and i have had ups and downs at different banfields, this one is very much a up.

The two associates working the front desk today are very rude. This is the second time I spoke with the one lady and its the same experience. Listen, if I ask a question you do not have to act like Im a nobody. Especially when all your doing is standing there gossiping. Even if you ask a Petsmart question they are quick to tell you they dont work for Petsmart. Whatever happened to customer service. Do you or better not shouldnt you know where puppy milk would be. In your store nobody smiles, greets the customers or in general is even pleasant on the phone. Your Dr. today even had the nerve to ask me who I was when I asked a simple question. Who I am is irrelevant. I will never be back for any care from your staff. I asked for simple syringes without the needle in it to feed small baby animals. After your young lady told me you had none without a needle I asked, "Well can you tell me how you give liquid medicine to small animals then?" I was willing to pay for them and polite about it. Horrid staff!!!!

The ONLY reason I give Banfield more than one star is because the vets are very nice, however the technicians never seem to have any clue as to what their doing and most look unhappy to be there. My true gripe with Banfield is the cost, the nearly force you to do their wellness plans which is a contract that there isnt any way to get out of EVEN IF YOUR PETS DIES. Thats right, even if Rover passes onto Doggie Heaven you still have to keep paying for his wellness plan until the contract is up. Or the alternative is you can buy out your contract(not a cheap alternative). Should you decide to skip their wellness plan, they are overcharge you for every service, and dont tell you the cost until theyve already done the tests on your animal. It seems this is one of the many vets that cares more about money than animals.

I wish I could leave ZERO stars - I cant believe what a racket this place is - there is a coupon for new patients, which we were to the Altamonte location of Banfield. However, if you have EVER been to another Banfield, you dont count as a new customer. Ridiculous. Then, once we were there, the vet told me all three of my pets had ear infections and eye infections. To test them to see what was going on would cost $512 more dollars - what a rip-off! I couldnt believe it. Talk about an upsell! I will NEVER EVER EVER go back to Banfield again. i am also going to write the corporate office about what a SCAM they are. Really? $500+ to test whats going on with my pets ears and eyes? STAY AWAY and find a real vet who cares about your animals instead of bilking you for all they can get.

Recently went there and signed up for plan; wow really research what is not covered in the plan; I am going to another vet now because animals arent humans (their gimmick to guilt you into signing up for their plan), my new vet uses general anestesia; this is common practice dont let this Banfield guilt you into their commisioned plan, after-all most of us have a family to feed. Will not bring pet there, canceled plan now they are wanting to chase me down and ruin my credit for not wanting to continue business with them and their lies. They are nice while everything is good but very unprofessional once you tell them how wrong they are. My bills for the doctor arent as high as what they charge for an animal...they need to stop taking advantage of people to sell a plan.
