Im an almost 61 year old woman, who has been terrified of dentists since my first dental experience at the age of 5. I can, to this day. remember clearly that entire horrifying experience. As a result, I never went to the dentist, until I had no other option!. I still find it strange, that no matter how bad tooth pain is, as soon as you arrive at the dentist office, the pain stops, only to come right back as soon as you cancel your appointment. Anyway, I have MA for insurance and went to the Smile Center in Big Lake probly 8 to 10 years ago. Now they are no longer there. I was told to call Al-Shifa Dentistry in Maple Grove. I live in Milaca and was not happy about driving to Maple Grove. I had 3 teeth left in my head, and all 3 were broken at the gum line. Dr Latif was able to extract 1 tooth and referred me to an oral surgeon because he couldnt get the remaining teeth to numb up.The oral surgeon didnt take MA and wanted $500 to put me to sleep. I went back to Dr Latif, he numbed me up and extracted the 2 teeth, virtually pain free. I have never met a more gentle and caring dentist in my lif! .I wish he had been my first dentist, not only would I have been absolutely fearless, I would probably still have my teeth. I had been avoiding a dentist for many years, going over 5 years without a cleaning, due to fear (which is common, obviously ), but decided to buck up. I am more than happy with my experience at Al Shifa dentistry. I felt very comfortable during my experience (as much as one can feel at the dentist), the hygienist (cant recall the name) was very warm and made the cleaning a pleasant experience. Dr. Nasir Latif helped diagnose a treatment plan in a calm manner, these little things were important to me due to my fearing of the worst for what needed to be done. My first two appointments of treatment included getting a chipped tooth fixed I had neglected and some cavities filled. Drew, another dentist on staff (who I believe is available Mon, Thur, Sat) and dental assistant (Eliza (Sp?)), were awesome, making me feel comfortable and guiding me through the process as I was getting work done. Im very satisfied with the results. I cant say I look forward to the next appointments, but Im not dreading them even remotely as much as I used to dread going to the dentist, due their ability to put you at ease, as well as the quality of care and results.

Absolutely Horrible! Went to the front desk to check in my twin daughters to be seen, as I was doing so there was a lady staiting to the receptionist that her appointment was at 12pm and the time was 12:30 pm. In my head Im thinking God hope my fiancé and I are not going to be late being seen for our twin girls. As we go to sit down with our girls and I start there paperwork. Our girls start to fuss the young Burnett Receptionist asked my fiancé is it possible to keep your kids quiet? That was a braking point for us there 2 years old what do you expect? this dentistry, I was told was a kid frendly. well let me just inform everyone now this dentistry is NOT KID FRIENDLY! to us she told us is it possible to shut our kids up cuz she was on the phone, she obviously doesnt have kids. This experience at this dentistry was upsetting, not a good experience at all! if youre on a timeframe, you dont want to be late, you have kids, this is not the place to go.

It was pretty quick and straight forward. I had a 3pm apt and got in pretty much right away bc I couldnt open my jaw for the past 3 days and I needed a clearer explanation with what was wrong with my wisdom tooth. Its just swollen bc theres not enough room. The staff are nice, X-ray lady Julia was awesome, dentist himself made it seem like no big deal which made me feel confident even though I can barely eat, this will get solved. He referred me to a oral surgeon since hes not a expert in too complex operations (appreciate that honesty, always want the best care possible with health things). At first I thought the place was a little sketchy but I was wrong. they were very quick to help and just the way I think everything should operate

Very nice people, very busy office. My first visit I had to wait for at least 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen to and the second visit was nearly an hour I waited because of some emergency, but instead of telling me that I had to ask after 30 minutes how much longer it was going to be. They were very apologetic after the fact. Except to wait, for awhile. The dentist and his staff are all very nice and gentle. They hugged me after I had a very painful procedure. Besides the long wait, I am still planning on going back.

Dr. Latif is the best dentist I have ever had! I have had quite a bit of dental work done and he always makes sure I am completely relaxed and comfortable before any procedure. I always leave his office without any pain or discomfort. Dr.Latif and his staff are very courteous and professional and he does excellent work. If you are looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Latif.

Worst dentistry you can visit, the doctor doesnt give you time to talk to him about any thing regarding your teeth he just doesnt communicate well enough and the stuff are very rude and mean I swear you will see this if you visit there I dont recommend this place to anyone I am saying this from the bottom of my heart you will regret if you go there. They dont even deserved the one star I gave them.

Dr. Latif is the best! Just had another filling done and he told me that I didnt need Novocaine. He did the filling and I didnt feel a thing. He is so gentle and caring. He takes the time to explain things to you and makes sure you are comfortable. After going here for years, I can only say positive things about the staff, too. I highly recommend Al Shifa Dentistry to everyone!

Hi, i went in these dental clinic several times, I couldnt believe what i saw their. the DR is some one who is highly appreciated for the work he is doing. I have nothing to over you but just give you a very big thanks to Dr. Latif. I will refer to anyone who is having any kind problems please try these Dr. and you will give me thanks for referring you there.

Dr. Latif is a treasure! He did my upper and lower partials and took great care went to great lengths to make sure they were just right. His pleasant personality and gentle demeanor is very soothing and reassuring. I would recommend him to anyone of any age. I think he would be fantastic with kids. He will be my dentist for life.

The experience was less then fun. I know its a dentist office, but when you have a 2pm appt and you sit waiting behind many late comers and your appt. doesnt even start til almost 3pm, seems like some people are more important than others. After waiting forever I did have a decent experience but not worth the wait overall.
