I had an appointment in there Office on 02/08/16 at 4.10pm 1. I had to wait more than 40 mts before I was called in, although the waiting area was completely empty. 2. I was expecting to be seen by a qualified Dr. But I found out later on that I was only seen by a NP. I dont know if it is legal in Mass for a NP to practice on her own without a Qualified Drs supervision. The bottom line is that I was not checked by a Dr. She did not even introduce herself as a NP. The nurse earlier said the Dr. Is coming to check me soon. Basically I was deceived and falsified as if I was being seen by a Dr. 3. She did not spend more than 3 mts with me. Did not even take the history as to how and when my problem started. I am suffering from this problem for the last 10 years and as such it is quite acute, but she said it is mild and just let me go. Did not even make a follow up appointment. 4. She just prescribed me a tube. I told her that I have Mass Health and they do not cover all types of creams, so please prescribe me something that they will cover. She then prescribed me a cream, I went to CVS and after dropping the prescription there, this is what i heard back from them "The insurance company needs to get more information from your Dr. " Today is 02.11.16 CVS have not heard back from insurance because the Drs office has not talked to the insurance company. I called the Drs office twice and I only get voice mail. No response from anybody. I am without a medicine. I will NOT recommend this place to any body. Its waste of time and money.

I did not have a good visit at Worcester Dermatology. However, I do know of other people who like it there. Dr. Seth Kates (or Cates?) at Worcester Derm. responded to a negative review I left somewhere else and told me that he wished I "tried to do something constructive like talk to me at the time of the appointment..." I never even saw a Dr. there, they only had me see a P.A. and I was never offered a follow-up appointment or a visit with any M.D. there, so there was no way I could even be constructive and talk to him about my bad experience. Dr. Kates when on to say "I hope your sweet thoughts keep you warm over the Worcester winter that is rapidly approaching." While this may be his personal thoughts for me, even though he has never met me, I really just do not think this is very professional for a doctor to write something like this on a review site. That is not how appropriate business is conducted. I had a bad experience at this office and I expressed myself. I do not think he should be saying comments like that. Just my opinion...Im sure he will find this and write something nasty to me and/or about me. April

I work in the medical profession and know about HIPPA and medical professionalism. It is extremely loud in the waiting room because the reception desk is exposed and wide open. I heard about other patients problems, insurance info and person info (addresses, birthdays and phone numbers.). Also, the staff was loud obnoxious and discussed their own personal lives. I would not come back and would not recommend them. Any agency that monitors HIPPA in an out patient setting should take note. A family member walked in and asked staff to look in their daughters medical record to see what she was prescribed the last time she was there. The actual patient was not there but the staff member looked anyway and did not ask for ID. I personally dont feel that my medical information is protected here. This is a big deal!!!

I was booked for a pretty nasty mole that went south on me. In short. ..never saw the doctor. I was prescreened...a week prior. Had a referral sent over and the appointment was booked. I Check in....Wait..... girl comes out and says I cant be seen. They dont take my insurance. 2 things. ...I work in healthcare....if we got you that far with a possible cancerous lesion. ...We would eat the cost and see you. Our mistake. ...She didn’t care and offered no alternatives.....Luckily my Dermatology Department at Reliant Medical had a cancelation that day. BAD WORCESTER Dermatology. ...bad bad bad....putting money before a patient. ....I could have self paid the consult and punch biopsy. ZERO FOR YOU

Disgusting medical practice business in a disgusting city. My sister was prescribed a medication from her doctor in New Jersey that worked really well for her. When she approached the topic of this medication, they lied and said the product doesnt exist. She had the bottle with her and showed them. Embarrassed by their stupidity they put her on it... the lowest dose. She ended up calling her old doctor to speak to them and got her regular dose upgraded. So, funny how that happened. Dont mess with people when it comes to their health or body, in this case cosmetic issues such as skin. Most people take it VERY seriously. So youre welcome for the bad review, you deserve it.

So as Im reviewing this place on Google reading the comments Im simultaneously calling to make an appointment the receptionist answers the phone asking if I could hold, 14 minutes so far has passed since Ive been on hold WOW someone answers after 15 minutes later & its someone entirely different who put me on hold .. I say really 15 minutes on hold?? she replies sorry its really busy in here today..? Yea okay this is a "dermatology center" not an "emergency department" whoever answered just walked away from the call & left me on hold until it was convenient for them to answer, the reviews are entirely accurate, totally unprofessional & ignorant.

Worcester dermatology on MLK Blvd might just be the most unprofessional environment I have ever encountered. From the minute you walk in you are waved off from the front receptionists as unimportant. As a first time patient they assumed I was unimportant making me wait about an hour for a 5 min appointment where my perscription was changed without the doctor even looking at or discussing my skin. Not really sure how this business is still open or even legitimized for that matter. Please save yourself the time and go else where for your health needs.

Bad,bad....disappointed in every way. Waiting room so loud that I got a headache from yelling employees. After 5 minu. Of consultation ( the doctor did not see) I got the bill as I did ($700) I called to ask why ,Office manager rude, rough and ready to attack.She told me because youre a new patient plus office visit and this is their way of how they work, unimportant for her whether I saw the doktor or not, I"ll never go there again, I wonder whether Doktor knows whats going on in his office .

Have been a patient at this practice for four years and it has been four years too long. The front desk staff are extremely rude, both in person and over the phone. The office manager is just as rude and extremely unhelpful. Will never return to this practice and I encourage others to look elsewhere for care.

I have a cold sore. And the medicine didnt completley work. I called in and left a message and was told that the Doctor would get back to me. It took about four days. But they did return my call and i spoke to the doctor. They are prescribing another medicine. Hopefully this one works.
