One of the best decisions Ive made, was going to TLC and having the LASIK procedure with Dr. Holzman. Everyone at the Center is wonderful. Everyone was very helpful and very informative leading up to the procedure, during, and after. They took the time to explain every detail of the procedure, so that I would be relaxed and confident the day of the procedure. The entire procedure took all of 10 minutes, and did not cause me any serious pain. Just a little pressure, and slight discomfort. Minutes after the procedure I could see (though a bit blurry). 3 hours after my procedure I could see; and 24 hours after the procedure I could see 20/20. I started wearing glasses for nearsightedness when I was in 3rd grade. In high school I started wearing contact lenses; then later I was diagnosed with astigmatism. About a year ago, I started having problems, and was told I wouldnt be able to wear contact lenses anymore. Without my glasses, I was basically blind. Ive been a swimmer all my life, and love scuba diving and everything related to being in the water; the thought of wearing glasses and not being able to do the things I love was just unbearable. Dr. Holzman and TLC changed all of that!! I couldnt not be happier!! Seriously life changing!!

On March 31 my life changed forever and Im still amazed at the results of my surgery. I had lasik in my left eye and PRK in my right eye (the PRK in my right eye was due to a childhood scar in the eye). Dr. Holzman took a highly conservative approach, and for this I am truly grateful. You see, I researched and contemplated doing this for three years. My only regret is that I did not meet with him sooner! He met with me, endured all of my questions, was kind and patient, and completely put my mind at ease. Surgery went perfectly, and everything since has gone just the way he and the TLC staff said it would. Im entering my third week and the PRK eye has gotten better each day and I am now seeing just as perfectly out of it as my lasik eye. Although they do this every day, the team at TLC has not lost sight (excuse the pun!) that this is a life altering decision that their patients make and not one to be taken lightly. They are courteous, professional and caring and so knowledgeable. I am truly grateful to the entire team and am beyond pleased with my results. If you are anxious about making the decision, do yourself a favor and go meet with the team - I promise you wont regret it!!!

I needed a touch up after having surgery over 10 years ago. I was fortunate enough to see Dr. S because my original doctor was no longer there. Needless to say, my health has declined dramatically in those past 10 years. And Dr. S. worked with me and consulted another colleague to see if there was anything they could do to improve the condition of my eyes but I appreciate their honesty. They showed me what my vision would be like if they were able to correct my nearsightedness which would mean I would now be farsighted. But their worst fear was that my eye would never heal. Not many doctors would have gone as far as he did to try to help me. But in the end Im glad that his morals and ethics took precedence over any amount of money I would be willing to pay. Now that is a Doctor who cares about his patients. Plus his staff are outstanding. They will put you in a good mood because their smiles are contagious.

The staff at TLC Rockville are all fantastic! From the front desk, to the surgeons, they all make you feel comfortable from the time you walk in the door. My only warning is with the Parking Garage. If you have an appointment in the evening, the garage tenant will make you pay 10 dollars and will say, "You can get your change if you are out before 7pm". By that, they mean you probably wont get out of the garage at all after 7pm (or even 10-15 minutes til 7pm ) unless some kind, monthly pass holder comes and lets you out. I talked with the staff at TLC about my experience of being locked in the garage before the 7pm mark and they promptly apologized and compensated me for the inconvenience and loss of money. TLC is great. Dont let the garage deter you :)

I am so glad I decided to go with Lasik….and went with TLC Lasik! My doctor, Dr. Nancy Cooper—who I also have to thank as well—recommended TLC to me. Thank you Tony for your assistance throughout the entire process! Dr. Holtzman was great and made me feel at ease, calming me throughout the procedure. TLC Lasik staff made sure that you were knowledgeable in your eye care, the procedure, making you feel comfortable and in good hands. Keep up the wonderful service and support TLC! Absolutely the best decision Ive ever made. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. I actually enjoyed my time at the center. I was completely confident in all the doctors. They took the time to answer all my questions, no matter how silly they may have been. I have been extremely satisfied with my results. Its so cool to see without my contacts or glasses. I would highly recommend TLC and especially Dr. Holzman to everyone.

Very knowledgeable and caring staff at the Rockville location that explained every step. No interest payment plans make it affordable. The clinical director was a pleasure to work work and I felt the exams during the initial eval and pre-op were very thorough. Payment plans make it affordable and my results were excellent.
