We have been bringing our pets here for the past two years. Exams and vaccines are done in the back room, which Ive never understood the logic for. Some things I obviously get, but a basic exam and shots? Weve seen several of the vets here, and while theyve all mostly been pleasant, they are terrible about calling you with updates. The receptionists are mostly rude and treat you like an inconvenience. It should not take five minutes just to be acknowledged that youve arrived, or that youre ready to check out. Every time weve brought our pets in, weve been assured someone will call us with an update or to let us know if they need to do a procedure before doing it. Ive been called ONCE in the two years weve gone here. Last year, they extracted teeth from my cats without telling me. I found out when I showed up to pick them up and they handed over antibiotics. Our most recent visit was the last straw. My chinchilla had been very sick, so I brought him in. He was there for two nights, and I had to call every day for updates. They never called to say they hadnt been able to draw blood or trim his teeth on the day they said they would try, which I would have appreciated knowing. I was told the blood work would be done in house; it was not, and when I called for an update, the receptionist told me when they got the results "depends on when the company we use decides to send it to us". I brought my chinchilla home on the third night when the blood results still werent in and he wasnt getting any better. There was no call again the next morning, so I called and learned my chinchilla was in severe kidney failure and the prognosis was not good. The vet recommended euthanasia. I was obviously upset when I set up the appointment, and was treated like a nuisance for asking for an earlier time. When we arrived, we waited 30 minutes to see anyone (a receptionist who told me once we paid she could "take him back" and we could leave). NO ONE explained to me that I could not be present for the euthanasia or why. I asked to speak to the vet - the one we had been told wed see was busy, so a different vet came in 10 minutes later. I told her I wasnt okay handing my chinchilla off after waiting 40 minutes and that no one had explained to me why I couldnt be in the room. She did explain it, after my husband had called another vet while we waited and they explained it. I was furious at this point, but signed off the rest of the paperwork and then waited until the euthanasia was finished and they brought him in. The lack of compassion this last visit was unacceptable. I dont appreciate not having things explained to me, being treated like I should hand over my payment and then leave, and making me and my poor pet wait 45 minutes for this type of appointment. I will NEVER come here again, and wish I would have found a different vet before this.

Came here after using Town Center Animal Hospital (which is great), after I moved to Henderson. My girlfriend and I boarded our two dogs for 4th of July weekend. Cost north of $300 for the two dogs. The cost isnt per se unreasonable, but its certainly unreasonable when: - our dogs were supposed to get complimentary baths, yet the "bath" box was unchecked on both their forms, and both smelled pretty awful. If they received baths, I would be shocked. - my dog soiled her bed at some point over the weekend. Rather than wash it and return it to me, they simply put it in a bag and gave it to me for me to deal with. For all I know she was sleeping on her soiled bed until they took her out of her kennel. My dog is also potty trained and was crate trained. If they take her out 4-5 times a day, as they say they do, theres no way she has an accident in her crate. - my girlfriends dog had some sort of cut or other abrasion on her paw. No explanation given for this, and no apparent care was given to her. - perhaps most egregiously, Sunridge lost my girlfriends dogs blanket. When they didnt find it immediately when we went to pick up the dogs, they told us they "didnt have time to look for it right now" and told her to come back later. When my girlfriend came back, they tried to give her someone elses blanket. When she told them it wasnt hers, the staff told her that we signed something saying Sunridge wasnt responsible for loss or damage to items (which is true), and that we were out of luck, but theyd call us if they found it. No apology, no partial refund offered. While they may be correct under the contract, I cant help but think this is awful business practice (that ultimately leads to bad reviews such as this one). Im not one to give out bad reviews, but after giving them several opportunities to do something about this bad experience, and having them be so defiant and unapologetic, it seemed warranted. Look elsewhere. We will be.

I want to thank the staff at Sunridge for being so helpful and accommodating to me and my 4-yr old daughter when I called to bring in our new guinea pig, Lilac. I was able to come in on a walk-in basis, which was great, because with guinea pigs, you have to act fast the minute you realize something is wrong (many conditions are fatal, and it doesnt take long at all). Dr. Curtis is very kind, and took great care in examining Lilac, giving us a lot of information. Her condition was an oddity, but very serious, and it was very clear that she was headed to deaths door. There were a few things that it could have been, but Dr. Curtis carefully worked through each step and explained the "hows" and "whys." I was very taken by how genuinely concerned he was with my little rodent, because even though shes small and not a dog or a cat, shes a loved pet that needed help. He thoroughly advised me on the options, explained all of the directions for me for home care, and really took his time with us, which was very touching. Ive had many piggies and this is the first one Ive ever had to bring in for medical assistance, and I am so glad that we were this fortunate. She was given a full round of antibiotics, and I followed all of the home-care directions. She is thriving, growing and all better! I paid $70 total (exam + meds) and it was worth it... not just for the care she received and the confidence I have to wholeheartedly recommend Sunridge, but because the trip literally saved her life. The staff is very nice, the office and rooms are extremely clean, and I was very impressed over all. If I had other pets, I would not hesitate to bring them to Dr. Curtis for his excellent care. The bulletin board of a zillion happy pet photos from other "patients" speaks for itself. Thank you!

Absolutely best vet out there! I brought my bearded dragon in who was knocking at deaths door because my cat had gotten a hold of him and nearly killed him. I brought my beardie in, Legolis, and they immediately took him in and started treatment. The doctors, including myself didnt think he was going to make it. Legolis stayed there for 5 days and with constant care, he pulled through. Dr. Ceballos was his primary vet doctor and he was absolutely fabulous. The entire bill after a weeks stay was literally only $50! Dr. Ceballos was very cordial and pleasant to be around and easy to talk to. I would call on a daily basis and not once, did Dr. Ceballos ever give off an attitude or anything to make me feel badly about me "harrassing" their office LOL. HOWEVER, the front office could use a couple new staff members. Their office manager, Adriana, is a complete moron. She would give me the impression that I was annoying her with my constant calls about my beardie and she tried to over charge me! I would have her go and "ask" dr. Ceballos what the bill was looking to be and she would "go" and ask him and come back and say it was starting off as $150 but when I talked to Dr. Ceballos about it and let him know what Adriana was telling me about the bill, it was later established that my bill would only be $50 and no more. So in shorter words, the Dr.s are amazing but the front office needs some work. But dont let that discourage you. I trust this vet with all my pets and I refuse to go anywhere else.
