Lets just say, I was more than just unimpressed. I have a 6 month old, female, Chihuahua.. yesterday, we had let her outside to go potty. Let her back in 10 minutes later. She came inside, & was shaking uncontrollably, seizing, couldnt control her bowels, couldnt walk, was unresponsive & drooling excessively. I called all around, trying to get a diagnosis over the phone. One of the receptionists at Wright Veterinary Services left Dr. Snow a message for me, she returned my call in about 20 minutes.. listened to my dogs symptoms & proceeded to tell me she couldnt evaluate her symptoms without examining her - then (as I am freaking out I might add) she proceeds to list all the fees of everything & that payment is due at the time of service. I am currently unemployed, so I started freaking out about how I was going to scrape up the cash. I call everyone I could think of. Finally, my mother called me back, & said shed call the office & see if theyd accept her credit card via phone. They agreed. She also mentioned that she wouldnt be able to go over $100. They once again, agreed. We take her in, they take her to the back right away for examination. We hear her crying in the back, having to sit out front for 2 hours before someone comes to get us, & take us back to her only to inform us that she cant diagnose her. As I am bawling my eyes out, she hands me a tissue & says.. "Let me get your charges rung up." All they are able to tell us is that its a neurological problem, which they gave her Valium for - that didnt even calm her down, but seemingly made matters worse. They said they could keep her over night for monitoring, & to check her fluids - for only $500 a night. ;) I cant afford that. THEN. Dr. Snow says I should take her to Vegas for proper evaluation. When I exclaim that my mother wanted me to take her home instead, she looked at me like I was mental & persistently asked if she could call my mom & ask HER opinion. I said no. Its my dog. Remember when I said my mom told them $100 was her absolute limit? The charges came out to be $99.16 (including a $6.50 charge for paying via phone) We paid $100, to be told she didnt know WHAT was wrong, or HOW to help her, & that she gave her VALIUM, which didnt do ANY good. SO! We get another opinion, my dog has a concussion. Within 10 minutes of being on steroids.. & drinking Pedialyte.. her shaking became slight, she was being responsive, able to walk, & went potty outside. She has been throwing up from the medications & what not.. but shes slowly becoming my dog again. The receptionists are nice, but other than that.. the place is a joke. I definitely will not be going back.

The staff at Wright Veterinary are all great. They not only take care of my farm calls with my horses but when I had to rush my TFT in on an emergency, They went over a few options for us to try and treat her. Dr. Snow, has been my horses vet. She is great with them. Very easy handed. She has also went out of her way to help me with my rescue horse and what we can do to bring her back to health. I will always take my pets here and send my clients to take their animals there as well.

I just took my dog to Wright Veterinary Service and I am so impressed. Dr. Boyett spent at least 30 minutes discussing my dogs medical history (my dog has pancreatic enzyme insufficiency) and then performed a very thorough exam. Dr. Boyett listened to my concerns and really took the time to make me feel comfortable. I have been to several local vets and none of them gave this type of service.
