My husband and I just moved to the Kansas City area. Moving can be extremely stressful especially when finding replacements for the things that matter most such who is going to care for our pets. We love our pets dearly. The joy they bring to our lives can’t be measured. So, I was very, very nervous and worried about who I was going to take my dog and cat to. We thought we were going to live in the Grandview area so I made an appointment at Grandview Animal Hospital considering that it had great reviews and was about 3 minutes away from our home. Fast forward to this week we will now be living in Independence due to a crazy situation. Our new home is about 20-30 minutes away but I decided to keep our appointment. I am so glad that I did! This has been the best experience I have had a vets office. Elwood, our dog, is a huge baby. He does not like his nails trimmed and usually screams. He did amazing here! No screaming. He loved our vet assistant and he loved our vet Dr. Twigg as well. I have had great vets but none yet have been as understanding about Elwood’s need to give kisses as Dr. Twigg was. Our dog is a cuddle bug and he was right at home here. Patty, our cat, is not used to the vet but they did so well with her. I get nervous when taking my pets to the vet and tend to talk a lot. Our vet and vet tech answered all the questions I had and were extremely helpful. The staff deserves a big thank you as well. So many people forget that those manning the desks are the first faces you see and can determine how you feel about a business. The front office staff was amazing. Very friendly! We will be keeping Dr. Twigg and Grandview Animal Hospital as our number one place to go! Thank you all so much!

This is honestly the best pet care Ive ever seen through my countless pets (currently, 5). Aside from the quite affordable prices, this office focuses on the pets comfort rather than the humans. Patients are encouraged (though not required) to collect samples at home in a less stressful environment. Whenever possible, pet care is non-invasive and in the interest of this, they often recommend less costly, just as effective treatments. I referred a friend here who had a very sick dog that needed thousands of dollars of surgery. The same surgery was done here for $2,000 less! The only downside is that because they do offer such great care, the wait is always horrendous. Its not the in and out in 15 minutes vet. Be prepared.

Grandview Animal Hospital is were I have taken my dog, Anni a mix breed lab since we adopted her. We take her there for kenneling whenever we go on a vacation that we cannot take her with us. She actually looks forward to going, when we drop her off. The staff there takes great care of her and Ive never worried once about her or the attention she gets while there. Also, Dr. Brad Twigg is a great Vet., his love for animals is very apparent when sees to your pet. I drive over 30 minutes to take Anni to Grandview Animal Hospital and would recommend this office to any pet owner.

Ive been bringing my pets here since 2008. They are the most caring group of people!! I get treated like Im family and so do my pets. The staff were so wonderful caring for my senior beagle mix before she had to be put to sleep. Ive adopted my latest dog, Happy, through Hardluck Hounds. Medina is great to me each year after I board through the holidays. I would recommend them highly to anyone who lives in the surrounding area. Their prices are reasonable and they provide the highest level of care possible. My "four legged" kids love them!!

Hounds Haven

Hounds Haven Basset Rescue of Iowa, Inc. uses the wonderful staff and Drs at Grandview Animal as our primary veterinarian in the KC Metro for the Bassets we bring into our rescue. They offer us nothing but quality, compassionate, thorough care for the hounds we bring to them. They are always friendly, make sure we are kept current on the hounds medical needs and progress and best of all we know they will receive as much love at the clinic during their stay as they would in anyones home.

Fantastic care! Just moved to the area. My dog was so relaxed even during exam and procedures. Dr. Snyder was patient, asked tons of questions, and asked if I had questions or concerns she hadnt covered. Staff was super helpful. I was given all kinds of options as to how to proceed and cost breakdowns. Met a client in the waiting area who uses their boarding option and said its the best she ever used. If you are searching for vet, look no further.

If you are an informed pet owner looking for HOLISTIC PET CARE HELP - ASK FOR Cyndie Courtney DVM. SHE IS AMAZING!!!!!!! She is extremely caring as well as well informed and educated on holistic pet health and is aware and conscientious about "auto-prescribing" typical pet medications that have been known to harm pets. Shes clearly kept up to date on industry developments and literature. Cant say the same about the other vets at the hospital.

I have seen the quality of care at Grandview Animal Hospital and despite being rather poor, it is totally worth every penny spent there. Dr. Snyder is knowledgeable and her staff competent. I never worry about my pets care-I know it is the best and I feel informed at all times. If you dont have a family vet, I highly encourage you to make your home at Grandview Animal Hospital and trust Dr. Snyder as your doctor.

The staff here is great. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The Doctor was wonderful; explaining the issue completely and giving me plenty of home remedies to save me money and time. This office does not push product at pet owners and is up front about costs before continuing with treatments. Loved our first visit!

Ive been using Grandview Animal Hospital since 1996. They have lovingly cared for 5 cats and 3 dogs for us, and assisted 4 of them across the Rainbow Bridge when the time came. The staff is always caring and the vet care is top notch. Highly recommend!
