Best vet in town! I have lived in Vegas for about 4 years and after hearing so many horror stories from friends who have been taken advantage of and seeing for myself how monetarily-motivated so many of these vets in town are, I had given up on finding a good vet in Vegas. After my 13 year old chihuahua passed away, I wasnt planning on getting another dog yet... But as fate would have it, just two weeks after he passed, I ended up rescuing a dog that had been abandoned at a gas station in California. I chose to go to the Gentle Doctor after reading all the reviews on here about them. I am extremely happy with my decision. The staff is really nice and Dr. Fujikawa is really good at explaining everything. We liked them so much that when my bfs dog went through his seasonal skin allergy, we ended up taking him to the Gentle Doctor. We ended up seeing Dr. Dawsey who gave us a few different options on treating his skin allergy. Not only did our bill end up being a 1/3 less than usual, but the allergy also cleared up faster. The other vets that my bfs dog had been to were definitely taking advantage!!! Dr. Dawsey also informed us on how to alleviate the onset of the seasonal skin allergy so that it wouldnt be as bad in the future. I would definitely recommend the Gentle Doctor for anyone looking for a clinic that is staffed with kind and educated vets. They are definitely not out to get your money, not like the other clinics in town. I am so happy to have finally found a vet I can trust in Vegas!

I cannot thank the doctor and staff at Gentle Doctor enough. After taking my elderly yorkie, who was bleeding from the nose, to another vet who wanted me to leave him without even seeing him (or me) first, I drove to Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital. They got us right in, and Dr. Fujikawa could not have been more compassionate or considerate. She understood our financial situation and was competely on board with trying the most conservative line of treatment BEFORE lots of tests and blood work. And, it worked and resolved our yorkies problems almost immediately. As if that werent enough, we received a follow up phone call AND letter inquiring as the status of our pet and thanking us for our business. I am so impressed with any business these days that not only provides great customer service, but follows up in the manner that they did. Thank you so much, Dr. Fujikawa, for your kindness and genuine concern for our little guy, as well as us!

They are really nice people other than one seemingly cold hearted vet. My cat was really sick and of course I didnt have the almost $500.00 for the tests the vet wanted. He was in a lot of pain and I knew the vet was right that he was suffering and had to be put to sleep but when she refused to let me hold him or be with him when it had to be done was just cold hearted. I will never forgive myself for not pushing to be with Patches when they put him to sleep. Now that I read the other reviews I wish we would have had another vet at the clinic. Seems a couple of the other vets there try to help when people cant afford tests. Instead of "oh you dont have $476.00?" "well I can put him down" Maybe Im just angry but read all the reviews and ask for a vet that has a heart because Hayward seemed lime there was just an empty space where her compassion and love of animals should be.

I have had the extreme pleasure of knowing Dr. Pribyl for over 25 years. He and his excellent associates and wonderful, courteous, caring staff have taken care of generations of my cairn terriers for almost 26 years since I moved to Las Vegas. His, and their, genuine concern and outstanding demeanors, even during the most troubling of times, has been exemplary. On numerous occasions, I dont know what I would have done without Gentle Doctor. As a devoted cairn terrier lover since 1979, I can only say that there is NO ONE I would trust more with these beloved parts of our family than Dr. Pribyl and his staff. I would highly recommend any and all Las Vegas residents to utilize the amazing facility I refer to as Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital. Your loved ones will be appreciated, and though they might not "know it", they will be grateful for their wonderful care.

We were referred to Gentle Doctor by a friend. Our current vet had told us there was nothing wrong with our boy when there clearly was. At Gentle Doctor he was diagnosed with a torn ACL and scheduled for surgery. He was treated with tremendous love and recovered beautifully. That was 10 years ago. Since then we have used Gentle Doctor for all our veterinary needs. All services are delivered with the same love and care we experienced on our first visit. What strikes us most strongly is the care and compassion theyve shown us - their 2 legged clients. Having a sick, injured, or dying pet is a stressful time and they help minimize that stress as much as possible. We completely trust our guys to Dr. Pribyl and refer him to friends whenever possible. We are so grateful to have found him and Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital.

My wife and I brought our rabbit Holly because she wasnt feeling well.It was on a sunday, so the staff seemed like they couldnt wait to get out of there for the day. They ran tests on Holly and when she came out from the test she looked worse than when we broguht her in. They promised that they would force feed her, but they didnt do that. If the doctors cared they would have nursed her back to health, but all they wanted to do is go home. After all of that and $500. We brought her home and she died 10 minutes later. Before she died I called the office and they said that he behavior was normal. Then she died. I called back after she died. and they sent me right to Voicemail. A caring vet would have nursed Holly back to health. Me and my wife are hearthbroken about our little girl.

Gentle Doctor is the only vet I trust with my cat, Gigi. They are always friendly and informative, especially with upcoming vaccines or check up notifications. In the event that I have had to board Gigi for the weekend due to last minute circumstances or emergencies they are very accommodating, and they always help to ease my anxiousness of leaving her overnight. They are very attentive to her needs and she always comes home brushed and groomed without requesting those services. I will never take Gigi anywhere else because I trust Gentle Doctor to care for her, and they always go above and beyond what is necessary!

My family had to make a last-minute decision to put our sweet 16-year-old pup to sleep due to old age and illness. We called our vet, who wanted to charge a fortune, including a exam fee (seriously? our girl was old, sick, and it was time to put her down). Anyway, I used to go to Gentle Animal many years ago and decided to give them a call. Their prices were fair and the entire staff, including Dr. Derrick, was incredible! They gave us all of the time we needed to say good-bye and made a sad experience tolerable and reassuring. I am thankful to the Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital and their compassionate staff.
