These people are absolutely HORRIBLE. After having a check-up for my cat, whereupon he received a steroid shot, he went from healthy and happy to distressed, visibly agitated, and downright depressed--he soon developed two tumors. I researched his symptoms and found that they matched that of diabetes. What the vet failed to tell my mom and I is that a possible side effect from this recommended shot was DIABETES; my cat nearly died and they had us pay an ABSURD amount of money for his treatment. Thankfully, hes now healthy, but the whole situation was easily avoidable, had they actually told us what could have happened--they even had the nerve to suggest we euthanize him. They also failed to mention that my other cats prescribed medication ALSO had a possible side effect of diabetes! They didnt tell me about this or the fact that Im supposed to take her off the medication after a month of it not working--I found this out 7 MONTHS LATER, where I was still giving her the medication! I was only told of this because I ASKED about it! While speaking to this worker about my cat with the medication, she jokingly told me, "Haha, its not like the brain tumor is going to let her live long anyway." And that, was the last time I visited that vet. And Im sure you can see why. PLEASE do NOT bring your pets to this place by any means!!

I see lots of positive comments and Im a bit surprised. My experience had been mediocre at best. I had a Boston Terrier, we took him in for his first shots, worms, and later his neuter. He went there for years. Then he had a bad episode with coughing and wheezing. We took him there and they said it was an allergy. Sometime later, they were too booked to see him, so we took him to a different vet, and that vet found a heart murmur, he said it was a genetic disorder for that breed, and most likely my dog had it since birth. Sanlando completely missed this over the numerous exams. The other vet prescribed meds and my dog got better in no time. Later, I took my kitten in for an exam. They took her back and 15 mins later came in to assure me she didnt have worms. I asked if they were sure, and they said "absolutely sure." Then 3 mins later, my kitten pooped on my lap, literally 10-15 worms were crawling around in it. I was disgusted. More than that, I lost all confidence in that place. I guess when they did their exam, they caused her to have to poop, but if she didnt go in the vet exam room, she might have had worms for days or weeks, before we figured it out, at home. However, I give them 2 stars as they did remove fishing string, my oldest cat ate, and saved her life ....$2000 later.

ok kc had been going here for years; kc got attacked by god know what kind of animal and got bad infection and fever. A different vet (not sanlando) treated her with drainage that went knowwhere on her back. now it is thanksgiving and to hospital with very sick cat not responding. got worse could not break fever; decided to go back to sanlando Kc was having more severe problems. they took her without questions at almost closing ; and worked with her for a long recovery, infections and fevers would not go away; we kept her there for TLC and feeding since she did not want to eat. You have to know KC she is a snowshoe and extremely ,extremely vocal. Big dogs and owners were cowering in the waiting area hearing her screaming over literally nothing like moving her position. To make a long story short we are back with Sanlando and happy they nursed her out of the problem; unfortunately kc still screams for no reason but seems to know they are trying to help her. Sanlando is always responsive for emergencies and "almost closing time needs." Pricing was fair compared to the other vet and hospital bills.

The vet clinic itself is very clean, modern, well staffed and professional. But I drive over an hour to come here only because of Dr. Kati Allison. Dont get me wrong, Im sure all of the other vets here are excellent. But its rare these days to find a health care professional (for animals or people) that cares for your family like youd care for them yourself. Dr. Allison is that person, because she has a great big heart. Aside from that, shes very knowledgeable, down to earth, and practices veterinary acupuncture as well (and yes, acupuncture is very effective on animals!) I brought my then-young dogs into her at her old practice years ago. Shes cared for them like they were hers ever since that first day. Yesterday, Dr. Allison was the one that put the oldest one to sleep after she was diagnosed with a huge tumor on her spleen. Considering all the time and devotion that she has put into them over their lives, it would have felt wrong if anybody else had done it. So yeah, Im taking every pet I will ever own to Dr. Allison. Shes awesome.

I bought a dog for my first time in September 09. I have had animals my whole life (my parents) but this was MY first baby, a min pin I named Colby. Well, he got the dg flu in November and I was pretty scared. The staff here was outstanding. He required hospitilization and because he had been a rescued abandoned dog the staff actually took him home so he wouldnt feel alone. They also got him healthy in a pretty good time frame. Colby is quite the little survivor and currently is in a pretty nasty fight with a fungal infection he got before I even adopted him. We dont know what will happen with the little guy but Dr. Kirch is wonderful no matter the outcome. She answers my MULTITUDE of questions with patience and compassion. She goes out of her way to try and make Colby and his mommy feel better. She is a wonderful vet who obviously loves animals and her job. I would trust any pet with this fine staff.

I am very particular with my dog. I have been to three vets in the area. The first vet that I went to was recommended by a friend. The first vet misdiagnosed, and the second vet was too rough with my dog, so much so that my dog growled and snapped (he never growls or snaps at anyone). Finally I went to Sanlando Springs Animal Hospital. Wow...I hit the lottery! Having been to other vets in this area, they are less expensive and provide excellent care. They use a comprehensive model of care, and it is dog and owner centered. We have been coming here for two years now, for both well and sick care. There is not a finer veterinary clinic in this area. If you want extraordinary animal care in a clean environment where the staff loves your animal as much as you do, then come here.

I have been taking my yorkie, Mickey, to Sanlando Springs Animal Hospital for over 8 years now. Whether we are going in for his check up and vaccinations, or for something more involved, we get very personalized care. Being older, Mickey had some problems with his teeth. Some were loose and he wasn’t eating well. A dental was recommended. I was worried, but all my questions were answered. The doctor spent a lot of time with me to put my mind at ease. I got a phone call as soon as the procedure was over to let me know that Mickey was fine. They even called me the next day to make sure all was well and to see if I had any concerns. I can’t say enough good things about them and I wouldn’t trust Mickey anywhere else!
