Several customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the pet boarding services. Issues range from pets appearing dehydrated and losing weight to unavailability of phone lines for checking on pets during their stay. One customer even reported behavioral changes in their dog after the boarding experience.
The staff's communication has been criticized for being slow, both over the phone and in person. Customers have also reported inconsistent pricing quotes for services like vaccinations and grooming, leading to unexpected costs.
On the other hand, some customers have had long-term relationships with the hospital and speak highly of the staff and services. They commend the doctors for their expertise and the staff for their kindness and respect. Some even mentioned driving long distances just to avail services from Boggy Creek Animal Hospital.
The hospital has received praise for its specialized care for specific breeds. Customers appreciate the extra time taken to answer questions and provide written materials, especially for those who are new to a particular breed of pet.
While some customers find the services reasonably priced, others consider them to be on the expensive side. There are mentions of high costs for tests and treatments, with some customers feeling like "easy targets" for upselling.
Aspect | Positive Reviews | Negative Reviews |
---|---|---|
Staff and Communication | Moderate | High |
Pet Boarding | Low | High |
Specialized Care | High | Low |
Pricing | Moderate | High |
The hospital has been in operation for several years and has a mixed bag of reviews. While some customers swear by the quality of care and the expertise of the staff, others have had less than satisfactory experiences, particularly with pet boarding and communication. Pricing is another aspect that has received mixed feedback. Overall, the hospital seems to excel in specialized care but has room for improvement in other areas.

Horrible experience with the pet boarding services! We only intended to board our dog for two nights, but they gave us no choice but to pick her up five days later. They also said we could call the facility to check on our dog during normal business hours, but the lines were unavailable during their normal business hours. When we finally picked up our dog, our usual happy, excitable dog seemed very depressed. She was not happy at all to see me, and she lost SIX POUNDS from when she was first weighed on the day we boarded her. When she was brought home, she drank an entire bowl of water as if she had not had a drink for a very long time. She also ate a full bowl of food, which is highly unusual since she always eats only half a bowls serving at a time. On top of all of this, she even snarled and tried to bite me when I attempted to pet her. My dog has never ONCE shown ANY aggression of any sort. DO NOT use this pet boarding facility!

Boggy creek is a great place , in the past we took our Maltese there for everything. I recently took our new dog in, the staff was so slow over the phone and in person. I was told over the phone that I would be quoted for his shots the day of the appointment which raised a flag (why not just tell me over the phone). When dropping him off I went over his appointment needs (shots and grooming). I was quoted his grooming but still no quote for his shots. I called in to check and was then requoted for his grooming (10 less then before) & I was finally quoted what I found to be more expensive then the usual. I was so let down and unhappy with how the staff didnt acknowledge this part of his treatment mainly because this is the most expensive part of the visit. I will not be taking my Pup back, I definitely dont mind paying $260 for my dogs health, but a heads up would have been nice.

Good experience with Dr.E. and this is one of the few vetanariens that wont force you to get yearly vaccines(only core vaccines every 3 years). They still tried to get me to do the lepto shot but honestly they shouldnt because its only suppose to be for high risk dogs.Meaning if you live in the country or your neighborhood/backyard has a lot of squirrels and raccoons or if you allow your dog to swim in lakes and ponds. However, if you say no they back off. I give it 4 stars because of the leptospirosis sales pitch and I made an appointment but still had to wait an hour. Update: their website says they have comfortis but they dont so once you go just order it from 1800petmeds. I do wish the were a bit more proactive and started doing parvo/distemper titers too.

We have using Boggy Creek Animal Hospital for many years and have been completely satisfied with all the Doctors and staff. All my dogs have been treated with kindness and weve been treated with the utmost respect. We lived in the area....drive about 35 minutes to Boggy Creek Animal Hospital, then moved to South Carolina for 4 1/2 years. We drove back to Boggy Creek Animal Hospital for surgeries. Now we have moved back to the area and were back with Boggy Creek Animal Hospital. So glad to be back. We feel comfortable with everyone at Boggy Creek. We would never think about using another clinic for our animals. Everyone is so very compassionate. We feel the Doctors and staff are our friends. Thats very important to us.

Twelve years ago, we brought Princess in to BCAH for the first time. I remember the staff commenting on my beautiful puppy with the pretty pink collar. Since that time , Princess has always received the best care in Osceola county from Dr. Hicks and his staff. She had all her check ups and a few surgeries there. Every time, we were treated like family. Once when we were on vacation in Tennessee, Princess got an ear infection. I called them up and they immediately sent antibiotics and ear drops to us in the mail. Couldnt ask for a more concerned veterinarian. Finally, when she passed, they stayed open for us past hours and made a clay pawprint for us to treasure for always.

We brought our new English bulldog here for the first time. The facility was clean, the staff was friendly, they were prompt. There are separate entrances and waiting areas for dogs and cats. They did not overbook appointments, so there was only one other patient who got there just as we were going into the exam room. The doctor and technician were very knowledgeable about the breed and were excellent handling our dog. This is our first bulldog, and they were very diligent and took extra time to answer all our questions and provide us with written materials to bring home. Overall a very stress free visit and not overpriced at all.

I have been taking my animals to Dr Keine and Dr Hines at Boggy Creek since I moved out here in 04. They are some of the most knowledgeable vets Ive come across as of late. I also drive past several(and drive 45 minutes) other vets offices just to go to them. They came highly recommended by a dear friend and I cherish my pets. Her pets are her kids so I knew I couldnt do wrong. They may cost a little more than other vets, but thats what insurance is for and why I have it. I have faith in Boggy Creek. They even went so far as to build my dog his own kennel when I have to board him. They are some special folks.

I have been taking my cats to Boggy Creek Animal Hospital for several years now and their care and compassion is phenomenal. Many times they have fit me in for an emergency visit and have always provided top notch service. Dr. Lima has been caring for one of my cats since January and he always takes the time to talk to me both in person and on the phone and he explains clearly what is happening. I would highly recommend this vet to others-they truly care about me and more importantly, my cats.

After being turned away from 2 other clinics in my local area (parvo scare - I lost 2 of my puppies and had a 3rd sick one) I called this clinic (half-way across town from me) and they welcomed me and my sick puppy with open arms....they are a very caring group and are always looking out for you and your pets best interest...very professional and always following up after each appt (and in between if you call the vet w/any concerns or Qs)...I will never trust my puppys care to any other clinic.

Clean and not too busy but extremely expensive! Have been taking my pets there for a few years and just learned to pick and choose the tests unless I want to pay $800 each trip! Was really worried about my pet today so I was an easy target and after spending $400 something on blood work, no one called me and now I have to wait until tomorrow morning. This place used to be 5 star but not anymore. (^_^)

Worst place ever for pet boarding!!!! They say they walk your dog 3 times a day but it seemed like my dog didnt walk at all! My dog is walking unusual after leaving and it seemed like they probably abused him. My dog also felt lighter than before, and he also didnt want to be picked up. I REGRET THIS PLACE ,WORST PLACE EVER NOBODY GO HERE FOR PET BOARDING!!! EVER!!!!
