After moving to the area, I visited Fullerton with my senior dog on a coworkers recommendation. I am so glad I did. My senior pup was well on his way to Doggie Heaven- and the staff was INCREDIBLY kind and comforting. Every time they saw him- they oohh and ahhd like he was the first dog they had seen that day! It made us both feel very special and welcome. My pup was diagnosed with inoperable terminal cancer (spleen) and everyone made sure I had what I needed to be sure that my little boy was comfortable in his last days. What is already a painful experience for most pet owners was greatly lessened by the kindness shown to us at Fullerton Animal Hospital. My vet of choice is Dr. Meredith Brand. She is incredible. Knowledgable, compassionate, bright, and honest- I will follow her wherever she practices. Presently, Ive got a 2 new pups, and they are scheduled for their annual exam in July with Dr. Brand- Im certain it will be another stellar experience. In terms of facts/numbers- For an annual (CANINE) exam without any shots- youre looking at under 50 bucks! For an annual exam with standard vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, Bordatella)- Ive never come in at more than 100 bucks. Thats phenomenal! The staff is kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I rarely wait more than 30-40 mins (and this is only because they are so popular) with an appointment, and I can often get an appointment the same day. For those of us that work 9-5s, theyve got late hours- and Ive been able to get a 6pm appointment more than once. No more spending weekends visiting the vet! The facility is clean and spacious, the dog treats are generously handed out, and I NEVER feel rushed or hurried out of the door. They (vet/staff) answer all of my questions, give thoughtful answers, and cost-concious recommendations (they have sent me home to wait a day or two, after an evaluation- rather than rushing to do an xray- turns out it was unecessary, and this saved me 100+ dollars!) If you decide to make Fullerton Animal Hospital your vet- I assure you that you are definitely "Barking up the RIGHT tree!"

In response to the cat owner with the 4-6 hour wait. In 30 years, I have never, ever had to wait more than 1 hour and rarely did that ever happen. You have to remember this is an animal hospital with compassionate vets. When you visit the emergency room to seek help for you or your family, you may have a wait as there may be patients before you that are more serious and need more care. This is no different. I realize waiting with a sick pet is hard but wouldnt you want to be sure that the vet you are about to see would be willing to become backlogged if he believed your pet to be in dire circumstances. I know I surely would appreciate that kind of care and have been given that kind of care on several occasions at Fullerton Animal Hospital. On those rare occasions when I have had to wait longer than I would expect, I remember those times when I was the one with the animal that needed the most help at the moment and am happy to wait my turn knowing I am the lucky one whose animal is not in such unfortunate circumstances.

This is the most compassionate (to both the pets and the owners!), helpful, thorough, and understanding veterinary staff I have EVER known. My corgi has never had such wonderful care, and even when she has needed expensive treatments, I am given MANY different options, some of which are very inexpensive and work wonders! Everything from state-of-the-art technology to natural, holistic herbal remedies and acupuncture, they have it all, and prices are reasonable! The staff is accommodating and helpful, and super-nice. I am always treated well as a customer, and I have never had to wait long at all. If a half hour goes by, I am shocked! My vet of choice there is Dr. Becky Fraser, who always has a smile for me and an eager petting hand and spoonful of peanut butter for Coblyn. I could not be happier with a veterinary service at all!!

A couple of weeks ago I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Nick. Tears are coming to my eyes right now as I write this. he had been with me for 13 long years and his health was failing badly. I stayed up with him all night knowing it would be my last hours with him. I took him the next morning to Fullerton Animal Hospital where Nick and myself were treated with extraordinary dignity and compassion by Dr. Christine Davies and her technician Melanie. As hard as this process was those two put their arms around us in a way that I will never forget. I have taken three dogs over the years to Fullerton Animal Hospital for all of their veterinary needs as well as boarding when my wife and I would go on vacation. I would never even think of going anywhere else. Doug Meekins Parkville MD

Office manager refusing to return communication regarding bad visit, incomplete information on forms jeopardizing the health of my pet.. Thought this was a quality establishment until my most recent visit, where the office manager threatened my girlfriend rather than attempting to assist with a veterinary question. Previous vet visit had prescribed a specific set of care for our pet, but the office manager refused to confirm with the vet because the information wasnt in our record, and instead demanded that we produce receipts. If this is the type of response you can expect BEFORE the conversation with a vet, then you should absolutely avoid taking your animal to such an unprofessional location.

Been bringing my sick cat here for over a year. Was told that she would need to be on fluids for the rest of her life. Came in to pick up fluids and was told we could not get them. Cat was very dehydrated. Manager screamed at me and told me "good luck filing a complaint". She was so rude and unprofessional. The staff is usually so great but the office manager really has made it where I dont want to go back. I will say all the vets are great and the front office staff are wonderful but the office manager really does not know how to work with people who are upset and worried about their pets well being. Considering changing vets to avoid dealing with her.

My family has been taking our cats to Dr. Labrenz for years, but all of the vets and techs are knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Fullerton has always done a wonderful job of taking care of our pets, even though we have many elderly cats with serious long-term medical conditions. The vets give us many options so were able to decide the best course of treatment, and the prices are very reasonable (especially if you get the multi-cat discount). Definitely one of the best vets around for cats!

The animal clinic itself was nice. And once I was seen by a tech an vet they were friendly. But the girl at the front reception was nasty. She was just rude to myself and others. If your going to hire someone to be the first person you interact with at least make sure they have a personality and are likable. Im not one to complain often but she really ruined what could have been a solid trip. I would not attend again based on having to interact with her at the front desk.
