NOT BBB ACCREDITED(wonder why). I submitted a compliant to the BBB on 1/4/17 regarding this businesses negligence in informing me of any cost associated with a concern for my kittens well being after a surgical procedure they performed within a couple of days of my call. Instead of giving me options once I called with my concern (as I was advised by the vet who conducted my procedure) they instead told me to come into their office to be seen causing me to worry that something may have gone wrong during her procedure. The way I was referred to this business was through the Express spay and neuter referral in the Harrisburg area, I rescued these kittens from a house that was on its way from being boarded up with them inside. I would not recommend taking your animal to this clinic because they are very disrespectful dishonest unprofessional and money hungry. God forbid anything were to go wrong with your animal after a surgical procedure. You will not receive a courtesy call from the vet, instead they want to take your money and provide you with little or inaccurate guidance. Thankfully I learned my kitten was trying to pass a hair ball, most like agitated by having a tube stuck in her airway during the surgical procedure. Colonial Park told me she had a cold that may have been started prior to her surgical procedure even though I told them she was in great health prior to and then they tried to prescribe her medication. Receptionist Shay told me that her shots could have caused the cold. They were completely combative and I remained calm trying to explain that I only came in at the request of who I thought may have been the vet for a follow up. They kept telling me the vet was going to come out and speak with me regarding their mess up but they never came out. Not once over the phone or during check in did they tell me that I would at least have to pay for the office visit. I would have ask to speak with the vet to explain the situation or have taken my kitten back to their original vet. They tried to stick me with a over $80 bill and took back the medication they prescribed. It took one call from another vet to talk to me over the phone without causing me worry to suggest over the counter remedy to help her pass the hair ball and she has been fine every since. I had no issue paying for both my kittens surgery and pain mess associated with it. They made sure to tell me the cost of that over the phone and at check in. Bad business and I havent heard a word from them regarding my BBB complaint but then again they can continue their bad business without being held accountable because the are NOT accredited.

I was very disappointed with my experience this past Saturday and Colonial Park Animal Clinic. My cat had been throwing up on and off for about a week. Out of concern, I came in for a last minute appointment. Understandably, the fee was higher, although the Google reviews seemed worth the extra charge. I was wrong. They did see my pet quite quickly, which was nice. However, at no point during the visit did they actually spell me or my cats name correctly. I must have corrected the staff at least five times, yet both names are incorrect on both my bill and my cats prescriptions. I use this example to illustrate their lack of attentiveness to both the needs of my pet and me. However, I definitely hold more grevious concerns about the visit. Out of concern for my cat, I asked that I be permitted to stay with her for both her x-Ray and the following procedure. The vet said no, which normally I would have been able to cope with. However, her reasoning for me not being able to be with my cat was that the procedure (an enema) would not be effective if I were in the room, and this was a problem because the vet wanted me to go home sooner. She literally used the words "I want you to leave" in response to my request. My cat had to be alone (which I know she hates) because the doctor believed she could get rid of me faster. The cherry on top was when the vet left the room and immediately starting laughing about me to her vet techs regarding my request to stay with my cat. Youd think at some point this staff would realize their walls are paper thin, but that would require some kind of attentiveness to patients. Meanwhile, "Man in a Box" is playing in the background, just in case going here wasnt horrific enough. Then, I overhear some techs discussing going hunting on their next vacation from the office. It struck me as a bit ironic that someone who works with wounded animals all week likes to vacation by killing animals. Maybe thats just me. I sure hope this freak wasnt the guy giving an enema to my cat. The most lovely part of all is that, even if the staff at Colonial Park Animal Clinic reads my review, they probably wont even know who wrote it. Youd have to know your patients names to be able to do that.

Ive been taking my 2 dogs here for about 6 months now. Over the course of 6 months, I have had more bad experiences than I have had good. Our very first appointment here was great, and we couldnt have been happier - but ever since then, its been an awful experience. Their receptionists are the most unprofessional people I have ever come in to contact with. Most of the time I feel more knowledgeable than they do, and they are constantly making mistakes left and right. To top it off, they put our 1 year old dog through unnecessary testing basically telling us our dog was dying. After thousands of dollars of testing, they came to the conclusion that our dog was perfectly fine and they made the mistake of not understanding the breed of our dog. They offered to refund the cost of the medicine ($10). I can overlook this incident. Everyone makes mistakes, and I love my dog so much I was just happy he is healthy and is going to be with us for a long time. But my next experience has made me make the decision to find a new vet as soon as possible. I found a rather large tick on my dog, and trying my hardest could not get the tick out. My boyfriend who usually handles this, was out of town, as well as the rest of my family. I am a very protective puppy mommy, so to say the least I wanted this tick out right away! I called the vet (early in the morning) and explained my situation, hoping that I could pay them to help me take this tick off. Thinking that this would be easy money for them AND it would take only 5 minutes, I thought this surely would not be a hard favor to ask of them. I was wrong. The receptionist was the rudest I have ever come in contact with. They told me they were too busy, but if I wanted, I could bring my dog in for an emergency visit for $150 (obviously they were not too busy as long as I paid them an astronomical amount of money). DO NOT make the mistake of coming to the place like I did. They do not care for your pets, they do not care for you! Look elsewhere please!!!
