If I could give ZERO stars, I would... I had a follow up appointment schedule by their office for 5pm. I got a call the day before confirming it, and Ive advised I am for sure coming. I show up at 5:10 to the office and the office is closed. I actually though it was a mistake at first, it made no sense. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting and knocking on the door, eventually one of the girls from the office was coming back from the bathroom or whatever, and stated that the doctor had already left for the day. I said how is that possible I was standing here for the last 5 minutes, and got here 10 minutes late, did he just wait 5 minutes and took off? She didnt have a good answer for me and just said he wasnt there. I asked what the hours of operations were, she stated the office was open until 5pm. Why would anyone schedule an appointment for the time of closing? Made no sense.... Long story short, couple of weeks go by a get a bill for a "no show". Are you KIDDING me? I call the billing and explain the situation, the billing staff says unfortunately they couldnt do anything about, but will send an email to the office to see if they could lift the charge due to the circumstance. Calls me back 10 minutes later and says that office responded that I was a "no show", and must pay, zero tolerance. So the billing staff gives me the phone number to office itself so I could call and discuss it directly. I contact the office and talk to one of the receptionist who right off the bet just shuts me down, and says that I have to pay I didnt show up without even trying to listen to my explanation, she just didnt care at all. I said I was there, I talked to one of your staff, I even have a picture from the office time-stamped that I could send over for confirmation. She stated well if you were late, its the same thing and you have to pay, its considered a "no show". I said if anything its a no show for me, because I spent time getting off work early and traveling to the office just to get nothing done because the office decide to schedule me for the time that the office closes and doctor gave it a few minutes before he decided to take off. She said well you were late and the doctor left now you have to pay, like a broken record. With the same analogy I told her so your saying that when I had my first visit with the doctor and was scheduled for 4:30, and showed up at 4:30, but didnt get seen for another 40 minutes by the doctor, should my deductible now be waived because he was 4o minutes late to my appointment time??? She then said let me put you on hold without advising of the reason. I was on hold for a solid 9 minutes and then the call gets dropped. So I call right back, the same girl picks up the phone, I tell her looks like the call got dropped, she tells me no it didnt or some non-sense like that, Im like how did it not get dropped Im clearly calling you back from the same number?? She then tells me the doctor is busy and she will call me back later after she sends him an email. Doesnt ask me for my name or number at all. I pauses for like a good 15 seconds to see if she would ever try to obtain my information, she never did, eventually I just tell her "well do you know where you need to call back" and shes like "no". So I pretty much force my information on her just to get this lousy call back. A day went by I didnt get a call, quiet frankly at this point my experience with that office is so ruined I didnt even want to deal with them. I ended up calling billing and paying this garbage fee. My first visit with this office was a 3 minute long overview and a shot after a 40 minute wait, and for a high price. Now over this stupid fee they lost a client forever and Ill make sure non of my fiends, and friends of friends will never step foot in that trash.

Myself and 2 daughters have been going to Dr. Lewitt for 3 years now which translates into numerous appointments over a period of time. I just dont understand the negative reviews. His office staff has very little turnover and they have always been professional and courteous. Dr. Lewis has always been professional, courteous and genuinely interested in solving teen derm issues and interested in my kids lives. He is creative and always seems to find a way to RX meds that are affordable and easily obtained through a variety of mail order pharmacies. We switched insurances in 2017 and he was no longer in network and we had to go to someone else. The new doctor was not helpful at all and rxd a $1000 acne medication. I called and asked the office for an alternative or mail order and they said there were no other options. Well, $1k for a 6 month supply of some skin gel for mild acne is ridiculous. We decided to go back to Lewitt. I paid cash this last time around to see him and we have pretty much decided that from now on we will continue to see him even if he is out of network. BTW, his RX this time around through mail order was $50!

Wouldnt introduce himself to me, let alone shake my hand. Referred me to his technician after he wouldnt answer my questions. Horrible bedside manner. Really Poor Explanations, Politeness, and Thoroughness of Response

I was charged $104 for a 5-minute visit in which he told me there was nothing he could do for me, when in fact my case was treatable. I would venture to call this experience a rip-off.

The staff are incredibly rude and unaccommodating. After several bad experiences, I will be switching doctors, because its just not worth being treated like that every time.
